I have tried to flash kkernel v6, v11 and OCbuzz.
But every time when I go to about phone in settings it says the default firmware.
when I am in the bootloader it says
"ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF
H-BOOT-0.85.02.08_M
MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.03.02.08_M
eMMC-boot"
It also says the time but I didn't think I'd need to say that.
I've only had the phone since christmas, so i'm still a noob, but I have no idea how to make it work. I borrowed a friends laptop to use the kernel update utility tool version 0.8
I am using the leedroid HD v1.3a rom.
someone please help me.
You need ENG S-OFF for the Kernel Update Utility to work, as it says in the requirements.
With ship S-OFF you can only flash via ClockworkMod, so you have two options: use CWM, or get yourself ENG S-OFF.
Kernel update don't show in the bootloader. What you are looking at is the radio version.
You need to boot the phone and then go settings>about phone>software and it will show which kernel you are running there.

Why is that different?
ENG S-OFF comes with engineering bootloader, which allows to issue fastboot commands to the bootloader through USB.
Oh, thanks
I didn't know FASTBOOT USB was only available from the ENG HBOOT .
Well actually it is available in SHIP hboot, too, but it just does not allow the user to do much

I know it doesn't. I was only saying those things because I wasn't sure if all the pre-requisites were correct.

Here is my advice you have stated at bottom of your post your running leedroid 1.3a don't waste your time trying to flash the kernel as leedroid is built on 1.72 and you will be back on here ask long why your mic doesn't work or something else as there is no kernel compatible with the 1.72 as of yet HTC have not released it so your better of just getting Eng s-off and flashing the recommended radio from leedroids first post till a compatible kernel is available
From England with leedroid dhd techo!

Hi there, I have a question about the OTA update.
Well I can't update to the 1.32.405.6 version(18.1MB), yes i know its it has been released a while back cause I didn't needed the update then. When it downloads the update goes fine, it restarts then boots up, but then the update status bar is very fast and then shows a droid with a orange exclamation mark and can only be rebooted by removing the battery. I don't have active auto kill app or what so ever. Has someone else encountered the same problem maybe a while back? I've rooted my phone with the first available root for this model but never flashed a new rom. Ty. Z

what do you want exactly?
1-obtain solution for this problem? or
2-flash another rom? (also it solves your problem SURE )
IF YOU HAVE YOUR DEVICE ROOTED, you can do a backup of your apk with titanium backup.. and flash a recovery from Rom manager, then do full wipe (factory reset, caché and dalvik) and try.
maybe something went badly when you updated your device...
but i think the better thing that u can do its flash a CUSTOM ROM
also all are updated (1.32xxx its sooo older mate) you can choose between several roms in dev´s section.it´s only my advise

Well my first thought was only solve the problem(in this topic).
Of course I want to flash a new cooked rom. But I'm afraid I would do it wrong because my CID says: HTC_E11 instead of 111111.
Thats wy I just wanted the update.
This is what my recovery looks like:
ACE PVT ENG S-OFF

MICROP-0438
RADIO-26.03.02.15_M3
eMMC-boot

You need to be on a stock rom to use the HAck Kit to gain S-OFF. Try flashing a stock rom and then run the Hack kit.

If the phone is S-ON, then technically it's not rooted. Search for the latest AAHK thread and follow it. It explains that first you need to downgrade and then your phone becomes rooted and hence S-off.

First of all, go here and download the hack kit:
http://tau.shadowchild.nl/attn1/?p=74
And before doing nothing, read the manual and ask if you have some doubts.

Guys, he has an unlocked bootloader and is running a custom rom. The Hack Kit only works with locked bootloaders (as RUU´s do) and stock rom. So, he first needs to revert to a stock rom, relock the bootloader and then use the Hack Kit.
Running the Hack Kit from a custom rom will get him stuck...

Exactly, I have rooted and already got a custom rom on it, It just not S-OFF, so I need to set S-OFF, at least please tell me how to lock the bootloader back, so I can use hack kit to root and s off again. I tried with RUU to restore but RUU also failed. Right now I'm so screwed up, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Ok, the first you need is to find if there is a RUU for your phone. You need to find the CID number of your phone and then see if there is a ruu that matches that. Was your phone branded to a carrier? If there is no RUU for your phone, then you will have to create a goldcard to be able to flash another RUU to revert to stock.
Once you get the ruu, you need to relock the bootloader in order to flash that RUU, by booting in fastboot usb (boot in hboot and plug the phone, if HBOOT USB PLUG is highlighted in blue, just press power to toggle to fastboot usb). Open a cmd as admin in the pc and type:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then check that your bootloader says *RELOCKED* at the top left corner. Then in fastboot usb, just run the RUU. When you are done, you can run the Hack Kit.
If you need further help, just let me know.

Thanks for the great replay,
I'm not sure if it was branded, cos I got it from my cousin and when I get from him, it was rooted and had a custom rom with it. Then after I got it I tried to install JellyTime and failed, then tried to flash with this RUU (RUU_Ace_Sense30_S_HTC_WWE_3.12.405.1_Radio_12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M_release_225512_signed), then it also failed.
Then later I was able to install never version of ClockworkMod recovery and installed Blackout ICS incredible, and I also made a gold card. now my SD is a gold card. after I installed Blackout ICS incredible, phone works ok now, but I have no Wi-Fi, I think the wifi not work because it's S-ON.
I tried to S-OFF all the way possible but I was not able to do that. And I can only get internet to phone with mobile network or Internet Passthrough from Windows.
Now I'm gonna try the way you explained here and lets see if I get any success, and please let me know if any other solution out there, cos I really need Wi-Fi on this
Thanks again!!!! :good:
THANKS glevitan, THANKS TO YOU I FIXED MY PROBLEM, I INSTALLED JellyTime AGAIN AND Wi-Fi ALSO WORKING NOW!!!

Hello,
I rooted and s-off my dhd by using aahk approx one year ago. Everything fine and I testet a lot of roms.

Did anyone know if the device is also eng-off after using aahk ? Or does anyone know another way to find out ?

S_OFF tool recommendation
Hey, I had run the ACE kit, but somehow put the S back ON (it's a mystery inside an enigma!), and now just want to run an S_OFF tool: my kernel is the 3.0.62_JellyTime_R5-g8e08b6e-dirty ... the tools in the fora all seem to have been specific to Fro/GB, so I need to ask which one is best to run, given my kernel?
And 4.2.1
DHDa9191
Like our original poster, I too want to flash a new radio to get RAW POWER on a legacy slate. Thanks for your help.

S-Off is not an option unless you are an expert. AAHK, the tool used to get it, was retired earlier this week. Root and custom ROMs are still possible with an unlocked bootloader, but getting S-Off is no longer a simple procedure.

I don't mind getting dirty - but is gfreev.2 alright to roll with given my kernel? it worked the first time, in the kit, but I don't need the whole ACE, just need to smack the sec back out of the device if you have input on the compatibility of gfree v.2 given the updated kernel, please
I have no idea what gfree is...what is it?

currently I have Radio Radio_12.56.60.25_26.10.04.03_M on my DHD.
And like to flash 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M or 12.68.60.29U_26.16.04.09
As far as I understand the first variant is the last official radio and sencond one is newest but from unknown source

Hi there! I've done quite some ROM flashing on my HTC Sensation. Now my girlfriend has an old Desire HD which has been running ARHD 6.3.3 ever since she bought it of a friend of ours. It's running really poorly and has quite some issues.
I want to flash the newest ViperDHD on her device. But after reading some of the DHD forums I really still have no clue on where to start
It seems I'm S-off (see attached screenshot of haboot) but do I have the right hboot, RIL, radio, kernel or whatever? What are the latest versions of those?
Should I downgrade to 1.32.405.6 WWE as I read here?
I have no idea if the device came shipped with GB.. How can I figure that out?
I would really appreciate it if someone could offer me a little guidance here. I have attached screenshots of the current state of the device. Where should I go from here to get everything to the latest versions and give this DHD a second life. (I might even replace the cracked screen if get it right)
EDIT: ARHD 6.3.3 has Android version 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0
I see there are 2 different kinds of S-OFF on DHD (Eng and Radio). What is the difference and how can I tell which one I'm at now?
Couldn't wait so went ahead and just flashed the ROM as I normally would. All seems ok. Apparently no special firmwares/RIL/hboot's are needed?

Most of the rom is already included all the libs needed to supprt the hrdware.. If you have no problem in coverage etc, there is no need to flash ril/radio.. Besides, ril is only for sense based rom..

Yeah, that's what confused me.
Long story short.....
Ive had my DHD for about 2 years now and have flashed the crap out of it without any issues.
My DHD is non branded, and Ive never had an issue with it.
I bought the Wife a DHD with Stock Rom, S-ON locked Bootloader etc. Locked to Orange UK
Ive scoured the XDA forums for an answer but unable to find it. Although I found Soooooooo many post with dead links or incomplete / Not working information etc.
I have used the HTCDev site to unlock the bootloader now, and also installed CWM and managed to install a Stock-rooted Rom.
SU works etc so I know I have root.
Problem is that I cannot get S-OFF at all nor Install my Favorite DHD Rom, SVHD.

Ive tried to install the same ROM that I have on MY DHD and it gets stuck at the HTC White logo screen.
Question is, how come the SVHD Rom wont run once installed, and how can I get S-OFF !
Any info would be a Huge help...

So, Ive tried Easy S-OFF and all I get is "Unknown Error"
Ive tried to install the same ROM that I have on MY DHD and it gets stuck at the HTC White logo screen.
Question is, how come the SVHD Rom wont run once installed, and how can I get S-OFF !
Any info would be a Huge help...

Did you forgot to flash boot.img? Being s-on and unlocked require you to do that every time you flash new custom rom. The boot.img can be found in the rom zip file.

never had to flash boot on my working Dhd.
ill look into it.
So basically, If I keep S-on, every time I want to put a now ROM on the phone, I have to flash boot.img before I do ?
Any idea why I cant get the S-OFF tools to work though ?

Yes, because unlocked bootloader with s-on does not allow you to alter boot partition through recovery. From your post, you said you are using easy s-off. If im not mistaken, that tools cannot be used on bootloader v2 (new bootloader). The only way is by using aahk2 which can be found in general section. Im not sure whether u need to flash a ruu in order to use that tool. It is better for you to ask in that thread.
