I've searched around and could only find a way to dual boot a win 7 phone with Android and Ubuntu. Can I do that with a HTC Aria from AT&T with Android installed first? Any other cool hack and tips appreciated. I am technical and can do everything with an iPhone so since I got this for a penny refurbed on a second line I wanted to play with it. If I should return it for something more "hackable" let me know. Thanks in advance and no need to flame I really did search for awhile but nothing was definitive that I found.

Hi guys. I recently bought a Touch Pro 2 from Sprint after an awesome discount let me finally ditch my Treo 755p.
I've glanced around some of the forums, including this one, and understand that Sprint PCS hasn't released a Windows 6.5 update, that you guys have long figured out how to install one anyway, and that it's vastly superior...
I want this! But I'm clueless and was wondering if there was a step-by-step direction/page for doing whatever I need to do to my device?
I am running a Mac and love my Mac... but I have Parallels VM and can use Windows 7 for whatever might be needed (I presume?).
Thank you in advance for your help. I'm greatly interested in updating this phone and don't understand why Sprint is so behind on things.

Good luck,
Hey im new to the android and just got the evo 4g couple weeks ago...i rooted it using unrevoked3 and dont know exactly wat imsupposed to do or wat i can do with itand how...i have read about it and wat i can do but i get confused with all the files and codes...I would ask a friend but not one of my friends have an android or at least rooted one so if anyone can help at all id appreciate it thanks.
Welcome to the family.
I would start off by browsing around the Evo specific forums, there's alot of good information contained there in regards to what you can do with your newly rooted superphone.
If you have specific questions, there's a good chance that someone else has asked the same thing. Before you start any threads asking questions, use the search function and see if the topic has already been covered elsewhere. Otherwise, you'll get flamed.
Personally, I've installed the Fresh Evo 3.5.0.1 ROM on my Evo, with the MattedBlues theme on top and currently using LauncherPro instead of the stock HTC Sense. Also, I'm using a custom kernel. I've found that setup gives a great compromise between performance and battery life.
Good luck!
So, I have been with Android since the G1 and then switched to the OG Droid on Verizon. Ever since the beginning I have been rooting and rom'ing my phones and loving every minute of it. I recently switched to Sprint because I absolutely loved the 4.5" SGS II and I'm in love with this phone. The exynos processor is insane, and should keep this phone near the top of the pile for a long time to come. Okay, enough ranting. My question is, does anybody have a single link or maybe a couple of links that I should go to if I was interested in starting to create my OWN rom for my phone? I am completely clueless about where to start and what to download, etc. and I know there are a ton of awesome devs in our community so I was hoping somebody would be able to give me a sort of headstart by showing me a site where somebody may have compiled all of the tools you need to get started. I appreciate any help in advance. Thanks guys.

Hello my mom owns a Sprint Galaxy Nexus. She has been using the phone on Page Plus for the past couple of months. I set it up for her using this guide, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696621.
I have recently acquired a Samsung Fascinate from my cousin. I wish to use this as a donor phone since the Sprint model only gets 2g without the 3g keys. I have searched for guides on how to extract the keys and use them on the Nexus but they are not written specifically for the Galaxy Nexus which uses dfs. All of the other guides are tutorials for different software. This has been bothering her for the past couple of months because 2g is painfully slow. I would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction or helping me in any way. Thank you so much for taking the time to view my thread.
Anyone out there??
Really? No one knows how to help me or even point me in the right direction? I realize that I may have posted in the wrong forum and someone is welcome to move it if it gets me help. I want to activate her phone but she isn't willing to accept 1x.
Really??!! THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP
Wow, I should say kudos to me for my thread getting 154 views and NO replies.:victory: There are hundreds of people on this forum that flashed their phones to page plus, some even used donors, but the one thing they all have in common is their initiative to help others. Thank you all for the invisible, magical insight!:good: Hopefully I can learn from the MOUNDS of responses I have to sort through.:fingers-crossed:
