Hi,
I've been experiencing a strange problem, which seems to be the case with multiple ROMS (once i've tried and always full wipes (cache, battery, dalvic, factory reset) Cyanogen, DEFROST, MIUI).
When I'm at home on Wifi, and walk out, the wifi drops but mobile data doesn't connect. All I have is netwrok bars (for phone calls), and no G,3G or H).
To fix it, I have to cycle Airplane mode, then mobile data reconnect again.
Has anyone experienced this or has any pointers for me?
thanks.

+1 on a Motorola Atrix 4G :/ I found this thread when creating one myself in the Atrix forums, what's odd though is that I'm using stock 2.2 as the Atrix doesn't have ROMs yet.

I have tried using AOKP, Paranoid and PACMAN with no success. When I leave my home area and head to King of Prussia, I lose my internet connection. Even when I got back home I still cannot get my internet connection back. I have tried clearing the caches, rebooting, turning data on and off, and turning airplane mode on and off. Any ideas on what the problem could be? When I was on CM 10.1 I was fine and had no issues. Thanks

The ROM itself isn't the problem, you need to try different modems for your carrier (search for the modem thread).
hello. ok so i am currently running android revolution hd 10.2 on my one m8 and all i did was go into sense 6 toolbox and change my battery icon to one with a percentage and when i did my softboot i lost all connectivity on my phone, i lost all cell service (no calls or data) and couldnt get my wifi to turn back on to connect to a network. i have tried about 4 different roms since then fully wiping everything dalvik cache, system, data, and cache, and even wiping internal storage when installing these roms and i still cannot get service. i am now on android revolution hd 10.2. i am kinda new to this whole scene but have somewhat of an idea what im doing i think lol. does anybody have any advice on what to do?! thanks! ok solved 2/3rds of it now i cannot get wifi to even turn on.
ok small update (not a bump) i can make phone calls but cannot turn wifi on or mobile data. when i try to turn mobile data on it pops up with the data roaming warning. saying "you are now roaming. data roaming may result in significant charges do you want to enable roaming network connection? any ideas?
One thing I have noticed recently is that when my phone is connected to wifi and then disconnects (because I leave my house, for instance), the phone will switch to mobile data, but the data will not work, ie I don't see any data going up or down. This will be even when it clearly shows 4G on the phone and shows full bars.
Turning the mobile data off and on in the quick settings seems to then restore data connectivity, but it's very irritating to pull out my phone in the car and try to pull up Google Maps to no avail.
Anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a permanent fix for it?

What rom and firmware version are you using?

Hey gang. Running LOS 14.1 on the S4 Mini. In the last couple of weeks I've noticed that I lose mobile data (plenty of signal bars, but it'll show H+ or 3G with a little x underneath) for no apparent reason. A reboot fixes it temporarily but it always recurs.
This has survived a wipe of Davlik / Cache / System / Data and reinstall of LOS 14.1 w/ Gapps Nano.
Suggestions?

Are you using 'System Profiles'? Be sure that 'Network Card Type' is set to 'LTE' or 'Leave Unchanged', there, as well as in your 'Data Usage' settings. Or, switch off profiles.
Maybe that's not your problem but it's the only thing that immediately jumps out to me reading here, I don't see why else your connection settings should auto revert to the defaults.

Really hard to tell because suddenly it's acting okay; but no, not exactly the same. What will be happening is one minute the phone is acting fine; the next you realize there's no data. You might still have four bars of signal, and the "H+" or "3G" or whatever, but there is a little X in the corner of the bars implying no data. Voice calls and SMS still work, but there's no data. This condition survives a reboot, and usually all the way home. Once on our wifi, then it works okay and if I turn the phone wifi off, then it will get back on the data network fine. I have yet to pin down a specific condition that causes the mobile data to drop.
OK, follow-up... still happening occasionally. Very annoying. Today I managed to fix it by turning Mobile Data off, then on again. No idea why it worked this time and not others, but it's driving us towards a new phone. Well, new/used. Looking at Galaxy S6s on eBay right now.
Per IronRoo's earlier post, I tried the "Search for Networks" but it said "Already Registered on Network;" and it's true, the icon showed three bars of H+, but with the little X in the corner. I also double-checked the "Access Point Names" submenu, but "T-Mobile US LTE" was (correctly) selected, so that's not it either. :dunno:
