Is there an app to install this or upgrade the one that is on my phone already? I used a custom ROM and it was in there but then when I tried to find it I couldnt. Anyone got the apk for it? Is it even possible? Just curious.
I thought this was being pushed OTA already to 2.1 users. I've seen links to it, but Im in no hurry.
its packaged in a couple ROMs on the Epic ROM Wiki. I have it currently and I'm using AOSP Magic.

Ktoonsez KT747 will work on TW ICS. I'm using it on AOKP 4.2.1 and it is stellar. You can find it in the original android development section.
what's the different between TW and ICS because there is 2 kernels over there one for TW and one for ICS?
THANKS
TW is if your on stock and still use touchwiz. ICS is if you're rooted and on an AOSP based ROM such as CM or AOKP.
And if i'm stock ics rooted?

Then use the TW version. If you are to flash a new ROM, you'll need to re flash the kernel. Additionally, if you flash an AOSP ROM, be sure to flash the AOSP variant.

Hi,
I have a AT&T galaxy s3. It always takes forever to get a software upgrade.
I am wondering if I can upgrade the android system to the latest version whenever it comes out if I flash the s3 rom to the original stock rom (from the official android website, not third party rom).
If yes, how I can do that? Can anyone give me a link of the tutorial about how to flash back to the official android stock rom?
Appreciate!

Here is everything you need. Don't forget to read and most importantly, don't forget to update bootloader if your flashing past 4.1.2

I still can't figure this out. I tried flashing modems, bootloaders, and no matter what I end up with the Status 7 error when trying to flash a recent CM nightly or RC.
Are those stock ROMs in the link up to date?
I took the ota for 4.4.2 and I was wondering if I backup the stock ROM I am on could I install other Roms from the development section?

If you are talking about custom ROMs, I believe it should be possible. I haven't taken the 4.4.2 OTA update yet but I haven't seen or heard of anything that would preclude the flashing of custom ROMs. Of course, you need to a lot of research on customs before flashing and, especially, be sure they won't attempt to mess with you bootloader. Most custom ROMs don't touch your bootloader but it's still important to make sure.
