I am on a stock rom, with root, running 2.6.32.27 incredikernel. Downloaded the Speedtest app tonight, tested the speeds several times-- and always had the upload higher than the download. I don't know how to take a screen shot, so for now I'll list my speeds:
339k - 618k
303k - 622k
197k - 908k
243k - 869k
121k - 1875k
183k - 2109k
151k - 584k
142k - 2411k
My download has always been faster than upload:

Yes, which is how it usually is-- I'm getting my uploads faster than my downloads though.
I have the same problem. Speedtest is always saying my upload is higher than download.

Would any of the gurus like to chime in for some appreciated help? What is this noise I here about the un-cap data mod? Thanks!
Mine used to do it then I did the uncapped data mod and it fixed it for me. Basically some people believe Verizon will slow down your speeds after awhile.

First, I don't think there is enough activity in this forum to require bumping a thread 3 times the same day as the original post.
Now, to answer your question:
You can't use the stock dialer with any of our current 2.2 ROMs. I'd suggest Dialer One from the market.

As I said, you will not be able to use it with CM6 or any of the other Froyo ROMs.

Hi,
I'm running Deck's ROM 1.2.1 and Tiamat 4.0.6 on my phone. I used Unrevoked 3 to root. I've been noticing very high sensor use by the Dialer and my direct dial shortcuts dial the last number I called, regardless of which one I try.
I did a 3x wipe and Nandroid backup so I can always restore. I have Amon's Recovery.
The Android System sensor usage is low. Dialer usage reads for however long I've had my phone unplugged. Any ideas?

I tried that, too, and it still happens. I will try fixing them again and it that doesn't work I'll try another fresh flash after wiping.

Did you check out the thread on "wake issue?" There has been lots of discussion, but more importantly there is replacement phone apk's that either properly release the locks or don't use the sensors at all. Seems you could before from it.

Hi all,
I recently switched from my Dinc2 to another phone which for now shall remain nameless , I listed and sold my phone on eBay and I had it rooted, I returned the phone to stock 2.2.1 via Jcase's guide on rootzwiki. I now am having trouble getting the phone to update, to what I believe the newest Verizon build is 2.3.4? Correct? The phone is deactivated but I have a working wifi connection. Any way this is possible? Via RUU, PG32IMG, other methods? Thanks in advance.

If you haven't done it, go to a stock ROM, update prl, restore mikrunny. Or you can try toggling airplane mode on and off, and then see if it works. Don't know what else to tell you other than that.

i'm using MikRunny v1.01 odex and have not encountered your issue. i get random 3g down to 1x drops, but it reverts to 3g just as randomly. i'm using the latest 1111 radio from HTC.
I honestly don't know what radio I'm on. I can't remember if its the stock radio or the one that came with the Rom. Do you think it'd be safe to just flash the new dinc2 ota radio? I think I saw the zip in another forum.

Yes. Flash the new radio. And you can check your radio version in the About Phone section of Settings. It's called baseband.

Had root, went back and forth between GB and ICS... had some problem unrelated to ICS and unrooted to OTA ICS to take phone in for some work
So I'm unrooted running the OTA ICS 4.0.4 and can't get GPS to work worth a flip... I've searched and all I can find is the fix where you go back to GB, get lock and then flash back to ICS... But I'm not rooted and don't wanna bother with it right now.. Is there something I can do to just make it work??

Nah, I hadn't seen that yet... but I was hoping for some sort of fix where I didn't have to do a bunch of flashing and re-rooting...
But I'll def give this a shot if I can't find another way.. thanks

He used it in his aokp rom that I been running....no GPS issues here. Give it a shot, just a zip flash in cwm.
