I remember that i used htc sense lw on my nexus one, and i like it a lot... Is possible to port the lw to sgs?
I tried to install the .zip in this page
but it didn't worked, the apk is installed in system/app, but it doesn't appear on live wallpaper menu
same... i think that a porting is necessary

on a sense rom like fresh how would one go about, through apk editing/hacking or otherwise, how would one go about making sense widgets appear in nonsense launchers. i was thinking that you could insert the necessary frameworks and whatnot into the clock widget apk and make it look for them inside the apk instead of the htc framework but i have no idea how you would do this or if it even would work
at least is there a way to copy the weather animations somehow?
edit- after some research apparently the stock android framework doest support animated widgets which is kinda sad.
Exactly...it wont work

yea sadly there is not much hope of getting the animated weather portion of the widget onto other launchers. you can find alternatives to the clock look however with out the weather animations.

Beautiful Widgets, Weather and Toggle Widget, and a few others are your only options. Beautiful Widgets is pretty cool. It's got a 4x1 version that basically has the same info -- I'd probably use it even if I did go back to the Sense launcher for some reason.
ya i use beautifulwidgets and i love the customizability but nothing beats those clouds and sunrays flashing of your home screen
too bad someone couldnt figure out how sense does animated widgets and make an openDorothy framework or something that other launchers could piggyback off of to support animated widgets
to those who dont get openDorothy: htc codenamed sense rosie, most noticeable in the actual apk which is called simply rosie.apk.
in the jetsons the maid was named rosie (pic) and was a robot.
in the old anime from the late '99/early '00 the big o there is an android named R. Dorothy Wayneright (pic) who is the main characters assistant. while not technically a maid, its close enough.
so to sum it up, htc sense is codenamed rosie which reminds me of rosie the robot who was a robotic maid which also made me think of r. dorothy who is sort of like a maid and is more advanced than rosie the robot, implying that if someone were able to make the piggyback framework it would be superior to htc sense. also "open"dorothy because it would be better off as opensource. simple right? lol
Can we make that happen? If we install the one apk and push it into the system. I mean its just the widget ..the apk...
Can some one grab the apk from an already ported Z ROM for incredible?
--Incredibly SkyRaidin'--
Nope
no we can't because it's not just the widget it's sort of similar to the desire hd flip clock how it's been ported but not fully since you cant touch it at all or remove it or it will disappear and you won't have any clock. The sense widgets are tied to a lot of things in the framework and other files so the no you can't just install a sense 2.0 widget on original sense.
Oooo .... yea I remember the Desire Z flip clock ...
Thanks for replying bro
--Incredibly SkyRaidin'--
no problem
I would like to get the HTC sense clock with stopwatch/timer and so on to work with MIUI. From what I've read other places this is probably the WorldClock.apk from the sense rom's. Is there any way to install this?
If you want the HTC Sense like clock you would probally want to download "Fancy Widget" and download the theme for it named "H7C Clock" I think. Though it doesnt have the same shortcuts, you can edit the setting to make the clock launch applications by touching a certain part if the clock. Hope i helped
I've heard there are other ways to change the lockscreen other than Lockbot and Widgetlocker (both get forced closes & devel's don't have any solutions). I'm running the EC05+ ROM and just want to change from the stock TW lockscreen to the HTC sense lockscreen which I have got the APK from another thread. Any suggestions or is this an impossible task?
I heard there was HTC sense ports being worked on, but none were ever published. The lockscreen information is stored in the androidpolicy.jar, I don't think we have an app (other than maddoggin's) that can change the lockscreen.
Check the Themes and Apps section of the epic forums.
we have all the normal google lockscreens built into the framework, which is how they were enabled by maddogins port.... htc lockscreen would be a major overtaking
even if i have the htc sense lockscreen apk?

Yes, the htclockscreen.apk relies on rosie.apk(sense itself) and other various framework files to work. Not just an installable app.

OK, well a little disappointing, but otherwise sufficient. Thank you all for answering my question.
No problem. That's what we're here for

Hello Friendz ...
Here is a clone of HTC Sense Rosie 2.0 for your android device. In this apk some sense widgets force close like Sense Calander. And custom wallpaper not fully apply to some xhdpi screens.
If someone mod this apk and add "allapps" image on top of launcher.xml i will appreciate his work. Then the app will looks much closer to Rosie 2.0. I have already add allapps.png image add in drawable folder.
Thats it. Hope you enjoy it and dont forget to say Thanks.
