Contact Pictures not Changing???

Does anyone else notice that the contact pictures arent changing in the contacts when someone changes their picture on facebook?

Kind of, but my problem is the contact pics aren't updating at all on a new phone. When I go into Contacts and the view menu, it shows 0 for Facebook for myTouch Slide. If I go into a contact and try to link one to a Facebook contact, it says no matches. Any ideas?

Cant send picture as attachment through gmail app [REOCCURING]

I'm trying to send a 2mb picture from the gallery or camera gallery using the share option and the gmail app. It just seems to queue the messages in the outbox and never sends them? anyone else experiencing this issue?
If i use picasa, does it resize the images?

after i cleared the application data (which wipes everything clean), i was able to send them..

Well i guess i should update this topic to unresolved, because i'm having the same problem again trying to send a picture from the gallery. I dont see why i should have to clear the data everytime i want to send a photo through email.

I haven't had any issues with this yet. This used to happen with my OG evo all the time. I was actually impressed when pics sent with no issues on this phone.

this issue is super annoying, it seems to be with ANY attachment, GMAIL doesnt sync.

Picture in Notifications for Messages?

Hey all,
I went back and re-watched the Google/Samsung announcement from October. The video specifically shows Matias as having a text (from the Messages app) from Andy Rubin and Andy's picture shows up there (like how it does for emails).
When I get a text message, I get the little box smiley face icon, and not the person's picture. Has anyone gotten a picture to show up there?

Yes you have a picture there? Did you have to do anything special? Are you syncing from Google+ or anything?

I am synching with google+, yes, but the contacts who I have pictures for in the messages app are not from google+; they are just normal contacts. I added pictures to the contacts manually.

Hi, I have same problem. When I got SMS I have only "SMS app logo" in notification bar. Can you please advise how to achieve photos there?

I don't have pics showing up either in notification. My contact, Google+, etc all have different pics for the person biti still only see the messaging app icon.

Weird how it is working for jstegeman. I'm getting my contact pics from my Google Contacts syncing. I would hate to have to attach all the pics manually from the phone just to get it to show in the Notifications!

Sorry, all, I just reread this. I'm not getting the picture in my notifications, but in the messaging app itself. I didn't notice the word "Notifications" in the thread title. Apologies for the wild goose chase.

Cannot open some photos

I've been having a issue trying to open my photos lately. I keep getting a icon of a contact peg with a flash/symbol or a lightning of some sort when I attempt to open some pictures. Pictures do show on gallery as normal, but when I open them the look like it's going to show then I see that darn icon. I tried all sorts of photo app to see if its the stock app, but its not.

[Q] Is there any way to backup contacts WITH the HIGH RESOLUTION contact pictures?

I recently backed up my contacts through the Samsung online service as well as the sd card option.But the problem I am facing is that when I restore them the contact pictures tend to degrade in quality exponentially ! Is there any way to back it up without losing the quality?
NOte : Rooting is my last resort and my device is the International Note 2

Well i have set some of my contacts with picture thru gmail and some from the phone.
The ones fron gmail always appear clear and perfect but the one from phones are not so much

I am facing problem with Gmail backup also
When pictures of most of the contacts are big the sync shows syncing continues and cancel sync also don't work

it has to do if they are favorites(starred in android) or not!
all the favorite contacts have high quality pics and all that arent "starred in android" have small pictures
a small walkthrough i have found is to have internet connected, sync on and the contacts that you want to edit you press the star at each contact one by one
and you wait for about 3-4 seconds and then you press again the star so to be removed from favorites contacts
plz try and let me know!

If synced through Gmail, open the contact on your phone and wait a few seconds, it'll sync the picture to the one stored (high res).

People is there and offline app that backs up contact with the HQ photos?
