Does anyone else notice that the contact pictures arent changing in the contacts when someone changes their picture on facebook?
Kind of, but my problem is the contact pics aren't updating at all on a new phone. When I go into Contacts and the view menu, it shows 0 for Facebook for myTouch Slide. If I go into a contact and try to link one to a Facebook contact, it says no matches. Any ideas?

Anyone having a problem getting your facebook to sync? It was working at first but I removed it from the sync menu and re-added it and now all I get is connection errors. Searched on google for it but everybody that is having the problem can't get it back working.
Edit: I've tried reflashing, going back to stock, but I think it has something to do with the app and the facebook server?
Yeah its a problem with HTC they say that they are working on it as we speak but its been a few days now.

Glad I found this thread. I switched back to an espresso rom specifically to get facebook for mytouch back.
Mine connects fine, and mine shows my friend's albums in the gallery, but it shows that I have no friends when I try to link them up in the contacts.
**EDIT: Seems to be working again.

Mine isn't working either...I thought it was just mine...all my facebook stuff works except on friend stream..the twitter works but the facebook force closes

I found this apk. for the faves app from the mytouch 4g installed it on my g2 and works perfectly.
Update: This is not myfaves app its the Faves app

VIP Call List?
First, thanks OP for posting this. Seems to work great. Long pressing on a contact brings up options which includes "add to VIP list". When I select it a pop-up says that the contact has been added to the VIP call list. What does this actually do? I didn't notice anything different after adding a few people to it.
you need my favs on your T-Mobile account. they dont offer it anymore ...

Thank you for replying. I have MyFaves on my account. I just never used a MyFaves app. before and I never payed attention to MyFaves because I have an unlimited minutes plan.
If you still have a my faves account.. THEN you need need to get a google voice number.. and put that as one of your faves.. and you will never use your minutes up..
Not true, the new google voice app sets up a new number for each person you call or text.

It was posted sometime back that tmobile has already address that issue and thus fixed it... no more free minutes.
I have myfaves and google voice... I have been trying to do that but the tmobile site will not allow me to edit my myfaves anymore.. need to call them and have them change/edit myfaves over the phone.

This is not the myfaves app we all know.. its just an app that puts contacts you choose together for easy access.. it shares same name as myfaves that you have 5 ppl you can call for free. I extracted the real myfaves apk but will not work on my G2 even though I do have a myfaves account.

You should still be able to get the MyFaves unlimited minutes to contacts through google voice but without using the Voice app. You have to actually call your google voice number and then use the menu to place a call (a pain but should still work).

That's weird because I just Edited my MyFaves on their website last night. I took my Google voice number off and added a different one (on unlimited minutes plan).

I got this last night as I was expecting to only be able to add the five numbers I already had chosen and could clearly add more.
So by any chance does anyone know what the VIP call list feature is or does?
When I looked at the rom I extracted both apks.. one read faves.apk (which is the same one posted here on this thread but has been around the forum for few weeks now) and another apk titled myfaves.apk I tried both and only one worked wich was the faves.apk, the myfaves.apk didn't work and said something about network issue.

Exactly, just like a secondary contact list. Choose who's on the list, comes with diffrent views to list, thumbnail or coverflow type.

Hello, i got this problem. I syncd facebook contacts to my dhd and i linked it with my phone contacts so that their pictures will show. It worked at first, but after i rebooted. The pictures of contacts appear in people only.. it doesnt show in messages. Need help. Thanks

Hey all,
I went back and re-watched the Google/Samsung announcement from October. The video specifically shows Matias as having a text (from the Messages app) from Andy Rubin and Andy's picture shows up there (like how it does for emails).
When I get a text message, I get the little box smiley face icon, and not the person's picture. Has anyone gotten a picture to show up there?

I am synching with google+, yes, but the contacts who I have pictures for in the messages app are not from google+; they are just normal contacts. I added pictures to the contacts manually.

Hi, I have same problem. When I got SMS I have only "SMS app logo" in notification bar. Can you please advise how to achieve photos there?
I don't have pics showing up either in notification. My contact, Google+, etc all have different pics for the person biti still only see the messaging app icon.

Weird how it is working for jstegeman. I'm getting my contact pics from my Google Contacts syncing. I would hate to have to attach all the pics manually from the phone just to get it to show in the Notifications!
Sorry, all, I just reread this. I'm not getting the picture in my notifications, but in the messaging app itself. I didn't notice the word "Notifications" in the thread title. Apologies for the wild goose chase.
