I know there is an .apk around for it, but am just wondering if the new market is something Google is slowing rolling out to everyone?
When i was running a sense based rom the market automatically updated itself to the new one, but now am running Oxygen Gingerbread and so far it's still on the old market, as i said i know there is a .apk for the new market i could use to update, but am just wondering if will update itself at some point?

Anyone tried out the new beta? One would imagine you have to freeze the current version on the S2 and install the new one from the market.
I have the same question...
before the new market update i bought quite a few apps and dont have all of them installed, now when i try to download them it says theyre incompatable with my device. i even had the premium xda app installed and it wouldnt let me upgrade for the same reason. how do i fix this? thanks in advance for any help.
oh, incase its important im running cm7 nightly 176 w/ savaged zen kernel.
bump......
What new market update? Or do you mean the one that came with your ROM? Is that what was in the OTA update I saw yesterday? I just ignored it like I normally do.
the 3.1.3 market version. it did the same thing with the previous version but not with the "original" or "classic" market.
Hi all,
I've had to flash runnyDroid's rom a couple of times to get it to the perfect state I want it to be. There is one small thing though that has been bugging me, the android market didn't update by itself like the previous rom. How can I get to the newest version of the market?
Thanks
Anyone has an idea of howto prevent Android play store from updating itself on jellybean roms? I noticed there is no market updater like in earlier android versions.
I had some trouble with GMail not synching properly anymore (it was only showing mails a couple of days old, but newer the newest ones) and since delete cache/data of the app did not work I removed it.
Bad idea, since I had to discover GMail is not available on the market for DHD/Gingerbread.
I found an apk on my HDD but it seems to be older than what I had before. Does anyone know what GMail version is the latest for Gingerbread?
I also tried extracting it from Virtuous Affinity zip-file, but couldn't find the apk. Is it hidden in some strangely named apk?
How about you just upgrade your phone a little to get a proper app.
Sent from my HTC Inspire 4G using xda premium
Is there a smooth and 100% working ICS + Sense ROM for the DHD? Virtuous is still beta and though it's fast it's not as smooth as Gingerbread (from what I read). The same applies for most other ROMs posted here. Some parts not working, minor performance issues and so on.
So I don't feel like updating just because GMail isn't available from the market.
edit: If anyone ever needs it, I think 2.3.6 is the latest version for GB: Download
Try downloading any stock ROM, and see if you can extract it.
