Like i see it, it's not normal.
I would sent it back.
That does not look normal at all. The second picture seems to show a hole more than a gap. Maybe its misaligned? Either case, I think you should get a replacement.
Not normal at all. I would send it back for a replacement.

Not normal. Looks like when they machined it they got a little carried away on that side.
doesn't look normal to me either . you should get a replacement for that

Hi,
My phone is in pristine condition, however today I am somewhat angry that a piece of metal coating had come off the 'back' button. The picture below is not my device but it's and similar illustration of what I am explaining:

I am wondering if HTC will consider this under warranty or just cosmetic damage. And any tips to cover it up. Thanks
** SNAP ** mine two.
Yeah mine too. So annoying :-(

So here's the deal.
One day, I dropped my defy "accidentally" inside a water closet. I put it up high in the shelves and suddenly it drops down to the closet.
now the left part of the screen is unable to be touched anymore. as could be seen in the screenshot below. the green areas are the ones that are broken

as this is a surely hardware problem, are there any other solutions than:
a. buy a new LCD screen (hard to find)
b. buy a new phone
thanks for the help guys
bump..........
Sorry
Since it is a hardware problem, I can't think of any other solution besides purchasing another LCD/phone. I'm sorry.
That said, I have put my defy underwater many times. The touch screen stop working when wet, but I had no issues with it once it dried. Maybe the problem was from the impact?
Hello Desire Z community.
I have met following issues with a Desire Z, and with a little bit of searching it appears that the ribbon might be broken inside the phone (The pictures are enormous):
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, after opening the phone and taking a look at the ribbon, it *seems* to be fine. There is no clear tearing in the ribbon, and it seems like it is OK overall. Can someone of you confirm whether this issue is caused by the ribbon, or by some other variable (screen, bad connectors maybe)?
The screen is distorted, and opening the keyboard "changes" the distortion. Also touching the ribbon while keeping the keyboard half-opened modifies the distortion.
This is my dad's phone, and he rather uses the phone in this condition than his Galaxy S4 :highfive:
Video of the issue:
(Yes, I recorded it without too much effort, don't hate me )
So I had my lg g3 started flickering suddenly, I didn't know what to do. this issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9SqLlDOU1E
After a little research I found this solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y12XCmAYTbw
I tried it and it worked fine for now(a week passed).
but since i have done the paper thing, my wifi signal is very low, even when my router I very close to me.
Any knows how to fix it? maybe change the placment of the paper?
Thanks.
Put a piece of folded paper between processor and body. Make sure paper push the processor and the size of folded paper nearly same as processor, so pressure on full processor not only at one point and put a small piece of folded paper on camera connector. May be it will solve your problem. Good Luck [emoji106]

Hello,
I don't know if it was always like that or if I already got dirt into my earpiece.
To me it looks like the right two thirds of the grid of the earpiece are blocked (filled with something, maybe dirt). I will try to upload am image tomorrow.
Is it the same for you? I tried to get out or with a vacuum cleaner but it didn't change.
You can see what I mean on this picture

lol, never paid Attention to it. But you are right, I have EXACTLY the same right two thirds of the grid "blocked" .. Seems to be standard? Haven't found any issues with it so far..
That's as intended, the right two thirds are just cosmetic to make it look symmetrical, the speaker hole is only in the left third.
Hi there, I have too "dirt into my earpiece". Is it so on purpose or not?
Me too
I contacted my seller and he say me "it's normal". It´s no dirt but some like protective foil against dirt / dust.
