Hi Guys,
I'm running all stock and the phone works fine on Wifi but the widgets/apps dont seem to connet to the internet or update when on 3g. So far, I've been trying the Facebook app/widget, Twitter, XDA app and GMail. I'm thinking it has something to do with a setting but I cant find anything that fixes this.
Any and all help is appreciated.
I had this too after a bug update last week, a factory reset helped to solve the problem

Failing other solutions, I guess ill have to give a Factory Reset a try. Ill update this thread when a solution is found.
Thanks, Zakraket!
I've the same issue. Actually using TW 7 ROM. But the factory reset doesnt solve it.
Xperia X10a running BB .67 (For X10i).
I hope someone find a solution.

I can't use my browser to surf on the web, the page doesn't load.

K 7 - you might get better results if you start a new thread. Yves - have you tried rebooting your phone?
I have this exact problem. HSDPA working fine, Google maps running smoothly, everything syncing. Yet my browser just doesn't work. Tried rebooting. Using an Orange phone flashed to a generic ROM
Hello, I'm new here and I have the same issue.
On Wi-Fi, everything works fine but on the network provider's data, internet browser is not working (facebook widget, updating weather or agenda work OK).
Any news since this thread started?
Thank you
Ive been experiencing the same issue. Not sure if it has anything to do with the htc homepage but i set it to google and i havent had the issue since.

Getting rid of all my custom APN settings seems to have cured this issue.

What is your own?
I'm proximus too and this problem is annoying me!
Is anyone experiencing problem connect to market after firmware update? I couldn't find any answer on google tech help or HTC forums how to bring it back to life.
Did you wipe before flashing?
Well I just hit update nothing else. I downloaded it trough wifi with no problems and all other functions are working fine so far. As I can see other people are able to connect but can't download. Shame on google....
Yes.. it sometimes not responding at all or takes longer times in comparison to prev version, also connection errors appear which was not an issue before.

Hey all, I was hoping someone else has had this issue and has fixed it. I'm running a stock unrooted phone and when I connect to wifi, it connects to the AP and obtains an IP, but I cannot go out to any website or use any app that needs a connection (facebook app, etc). Things I've done:
Restarted phone
Factory reset phone
rebooted router
Tried other roms
Sent to samsung (they did a SW update) x2
Forgot the network, then reconnected
This is getting extremely frustrating as it's been this way since I've had it, but it got worse with the ICS update. Anything that anyone has tried and actually worked? The funny thing is, when you reflash the phone or do a factory reset, it works for about an hour then stops. Thanks in advance!
Have you ever connected that phone to a different wifi?
I encountered an issue a few months back where something went wonky and i had to completely reset my router and set it back up. Have you tried that too?

Yes, I've tried different wifi AP's and none of them have worked, while others are on them including mine at home. I have not reset the router and reconfigured it because it's a cisco and as such is a pita. I have looked through my config and cannot find anything obvious. But still, others are able to connect just fine.
Same issue here. Never noticed it until recently. Reflashed LE1 and it worked for a couple of days. Going to flash the galaxy note modem tomorrow.

I know it's a shot in the dark, but some said it worked....
Try to disable the "UPnP" in your router.
Let us know....
premiatul: I can't find anything in my router for upnp. If anyone knows how to disable it in cisco ios 12.4(11)T1, I'll gladly try it.
Autx: please let me know how that goes and if it works. Thanks!

Is darkside wipe a temp or permanent fix, from what you've read?
Noone else has any info that may help? I would really like to get to the bottom of this. Devs: could this be a driver/kernel issue over a hw issue?

Honestly, whenever I'm running a TW based ROM I find that wifi takes awhile to connect. Any AOSP (CM/AOKP) for me is nearly instant.

I'm running a stock, unrooted device. It connects to the ap and gets an IP address just fine, but data doesn't go across the connection when I go to the internet.

Thanks for the heads up that the note radio didn't work. Also, the new official update didn't fix this issue either. Maybe I'll just have t-mo replace the device since it's not happening to everyone. Thanks all for your input!
Quick question.
Did you De-bloat your phone? Ie did you remove any apps from the system directory?

Not since the last time it returned from Samsung. And it's completely stock and unrooted right now.
I did a factory reset and the wifi came back steady for the past day I was slot more selective with my apps as I think this may have been the issue.

I'm glad this worked for you. I can't tell you how many factory resets I've done and it fails every time within a day. I bit the bullet and did a t-mo warranty exchange. Seeing as so few people actually have this problem, I'm chalking it up to my having bad luck and got a lemon. I hope the new one works fine.
I'd rather have a new one then the same one fixed lol

Ok so I've had this same problem on the M7, and now I'm having the same issue on my M8. I'll post the screenshot of the issue I'm having. It happens on every Rom that I use. I mainly use ViperOne. But in order to test out the problem I flashed other roms as well and found the same problem. I've even done the play store fix that I found in a couple other threads and it still gives me the same issue. And I'm hooked up to WiFi majority of the time and still get the error. No matter if I'm on network or WiFi, the problem persists. Even tried different play store apks. If someone could lend me some knowledge on how to get rid of the problem, I'd be eternally grateful. It's a pain trying to update apps and it won't work because of the error. Screenshot attached. Thanks to all!!

Try the following (try turning off wifi and then re-enabling it before you try any of these to see if that helps)
1) Allow unknown sources in settings
if that doesn't work
2) delete the cache for the play store app
if that doesn't work
3) Uninstall playstore updates and reboot
Finally if all else fails - delete your google account - reboot and then add your account.
Anyone else having this problem? On my girlfriend's phone since the latest update for Chrome, everytime you try and do anything it crashes and asks you to send a bug report. I was trying to work out whether this was a z1 compact issue or something specific to her phone and haven't been able to find anyone else with the same issue.

No such issue here..
Tried clearing data of chrome app?
If that doesn't help try uninstalling update and then update again..
