Is there a way to send a signal to your phone to power it on? I know that the company Asurion can do this. It is a new feature now. I have heard about this here and there but never have looked into it.
Wrong section should be in q&a
from my phone duh
Maybe remote in ssh style or wireless adb and give the command shutdown.

Not possible unless the phone isn't really off. If just the screen is off, sure, it's very easy. Check out WebKey for full remote control of your phone.
Take a step back and look at what you're asking:
You want to turn on the phone, using the cell radio, while the phone and said radio is off. Quite simply, this is impossible unless you have the phone turn itself on to check-in for a "turn on all the way" message. What Asurion does is tag the phone and send it commands, but they can't do that if the actual phone is off and/or the battery pulled out.
You're cellphone is never truly "off" unless the battery is removed from the device.
There is likely a way to do it, but this guy **points thumbs at self** does not know how.
http://news.cnet.com/2100-1029_3-6140191.html
Granted its an old article, but still gives light to what is possible.
And to the OP, I know what you are in reference too... I remember reading a while back that if a powerful enough signal is provided to a device the article was about wirelessly charging batteries from a far distance using towers rather than things like the touchstone and powermat type devices, and the device is able to interpret the signal and activate certain processes, it was in fact possible to charge wirelessly from a-far.
Same concept would be applied, but it would require a downloaded application to run 24/7 on your phone (on or off), unless you powered down by use of battery removal.
Why's everyone so quick to say that this is impossible? If it's impossible, how come with some phones, when the phone is off and an alarm is set, the phone will power on for the alarm to go off. I've seen it done. I'm sure a similar method could be used.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is imposable. I have read a few articles back in the day and even talked to a guy that worked in government security one day (I was selling him a phone) He was a manager over a department where all they do is watch for hackers all day long over networks for all sorts of corporations likes banks and what not. (there is a whole lot more to it than just that) Anywho, When I found out what line of work he was in, I could not help but ask him all sorts of questions. It took him a while to answer even start to answer them. We became buddy buddy I suppose enough for him to shed a little light on a few of mine. When I started asking him a couple of questions about some things I have read bout cell phones he was very very vague to the point where it looked like he was trying to tell me things without actually telling me. I was only able to get him to clearly answer one thing. I was asking him about GPS's in phones. He basically told me that most manufactures put many different alternate ways to access things on a cell phone. (did not specify what) He acted like it was government required or something. (Which I doubt) but he went on to say that there is a signal that you can send most phones that will send a GPS location back to the phone even if the phone is off. After he told me that I asked him about powering on the phone itself or powering on a direct (call) connection without the phone even coming on. (I have ready some pretty weird things) he basically was like "look there is no way around anything unless the battery is out of the phone, that's all I'm going to say" And I was all like "ok man". I also work for a phone company. Which is where I heard about Asurions new features. One of them which they claim, can wirelessly turn a phone on if it is off and the battery is not dead and call it for you or located it if you have lost it.
Which is basically why I am here asking these questions.

What's the point of this anyways. I never turn my phone off, there is no need to.
This is for when you might have lost your phone or if someone stole it and had it off.

Your the guy that bought an EVO from a dude that claimed he got it at best buy without checking the ESN. Then you come on the boards and ask how to activate it because it's not working. Then you start a whole new post asking if you can flash an EVO that has been flashed to cricket, back to sprint..... go away dude.
No relevant knowledge to post but i sure as hell want somebody to check into it.
Im expecting a tutorial by the end of this week. Guys get to work!!!!!!!

The phone is not off then. It's asleep. Big difference. Here's a simple test. The night before an important job interview/test at school/whatever, set an alarm. Hold the power button and choose "Power Off" from the menu. Go to sleep. See what happens.

I encourage anyone concerned about the availability of the 3 button download mode, or other issues, to comment on the Samsung Facebook page. I already posted a comment and got a response I find somewhat disturbing... maybe there is strength in numbers.
http://www.facebook.com/samsungmobi...omment#!/samsungmobilecanada?v=wall&ref=notif
Make sure he doesn't duck the question. 3 button means that experienced end users can actually fix a bad flash (lol @ Kies) without having to lose their phone for a month (Allgamer is at the 3 week mark now after sending his phone in).
Hopefully they will provide an answer. I have since returned mine back to Future Shop. I've tried 4 other phones hoping to be able to do an exchange, but all of them had 3 button recovery disabled. If they release a fix for this I will buy the phone in an instant.
I saw your post over there...
Exactly what I figured their response would be... I for one am not holding my breath for an update through Samsung to enable 3 button recovery.
They messed though by inexplicably letting some through with it enabled...Makes it hard to justify why some have it and some don't... If anything, expect an update to disable it on the ones that have it enabled!
I hope otherwise, but in all seriousness, the majority of users will likely never have to use recovery and the average user out there is not an xda-developpers member. Yes, Samsung will have to deal with bricks but probably in their mind, they are making it slightly harder to do 'unauthorized' stuff.

Meh, I am not going that far. Recovery mode is a nice to have but it is not going to deprive me of the best phone on the market by miles (there is not a phone that is going to be better than the 3GS for at least 6 months or more, nothing is in the pipeline that comes close)

Until you accidentally brick it, then you are paying $60 a month while it goes off to get fixed. Yes, it's awesome hardware, but without 3 button, it's not worth it to me. I'm also stubborn enough to demand a resolution to this issue before forking out the money a 2nd time

Samsung Mobile Canada Hi Jason. 3 button download mode is for internal firmware functions and is not recommended to end-users. It’s typically used by technicians to service malfunctioning phones. Modifying the internal firmware on a mobile phone device may void the warranty. What function you are trying to do? Maybe we can help find another way. Feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-SAMSUNG and we'll see how we can help. Thank
sounds like they could fix it but might not if your dumb enough to flash your bell sgs and have the 3 button combo disabled best of luck to you

If I am unlucky enough to brick it (which, despite my rants, is pretty hard to actually do in practice.... as long as you are flashing with a stable laptop it is not going to brick), then I'll get it replaced under warranty. The odds of me flashing it again after Froyo is out are near zero.
See, unlike WinMo, you don't have to re-flash Android to customize it, nearly everything on the phone can be customized in-line. All the stuff Cyogen etc. are doing can be done without flashing the phone, so you don't have to worry about bricking it
I learned from my years with my HTC dev. that re-flashing every few weeks is a huge pain in the butt, and I don't plan on doing that again with this phone.

Again I dont live there so its really not a bit deal was just kinda asking but they are pulling all of this data for traffic stops I do get those quite a bit on my bike the below is from the article
"Michigan State Police officers have been using a device called Cellebrite UFED Physical Pro for the last couple years. The device scrapes off everything stored on the phone -- GPS geotag data, media (pictures, videos, music, etc.), text messages, emails, call history, and more.
Michigan State Police have been reportedly regularly been scraping the phones of people they pull over."

Google keeps track of apps downloaded, usage, contacts, emails (gmail), texts, GPS data, and basically anytime you use your phone with the Android system. They are worse than big brother. If you so choose they can also use gps data tagging everytime you take a pic, better than satellite spying.
tthe epic is not supprrted by this device. if you go to the cellebrite website it lists what devices are. 99 percent of the phones ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE WIRELESSLY.
if you select a device it lists how it connects. i found the evo on the list and it says you have to manually hook it up with a usb cable. same thing with the galaxy tab and the continum. this thing doesnt scare me. im pretty confident in my ability to hard reset my phone before the cop gets to my window.

Just another way for the government to take a dump on the bill of rights. I'd really like to know what BS loophole they hide behind to get around the 4th amendment. After they do away with the 4th they'll just work their way up the list. Next thing you know they'll be living in your house, taking your guns and not letting you speak out about the whole thing.

HA! Nice...can we see? J/K
Good point. Apparently it needs to be placed next to the device. You can refuse to give it to them.
Agreed that it's not about having anything to hide, it is indeed the principle. Fourth amendment is supposed protect our privacy and the courts have processes in place for authorities to collect evidence. This device cracks open everything in your life and all information about you that comes across your phone. It might seem trivial, but does anyone else need to know about your shenanigans, deepest secrets revealed via text to your best friend(s), banking information, and anything else? Not ok IMO!
Agreed. They should NOT be allowed to look into your phone. EVER. Unless they HONESTL beleive it to be packed with drugs (which would probably take FOREVER), then no. I Will NOT hand it over. Thank god for clock work mod, and the 10 minutes they spend logging data. means you could pull battery, go in, wipe data, and have it done before they can do ANYTHING. No i have nothing to hide (privacy is not HIDING), but NO you may not read my, or my freinds texts of problems. Just not gonna happen.
Easy answer...write your congressman and lawmakers to make this illegal without warrant.
carry a ****ty prepaid phone with you and just give that to the cop. I would prob have one in my car for just that if I lived in mich. I mean for a speeding ticket they get my ****ty phone and I get a ticket. But obviously if i'm busted for something serious and get taken in they would get my phone. But the second senario is not really what i'm worried about.
The article was updated with a press release by the Michigan State Police. They only use the device with a warrant or consent.
The Supreme Court of the Ohio ruled in State v. Smith that mobile phones are now akin to laptop computers in that they can be seized but not searched until a warrant has been issued. With California (who would have thought they would be the one to rule that way) giving an opposite decision, this will probably end up in front of the Supreme Court of the United States for a decision before long.
For now, turn your phone off when the red and blue lights come on.
they can't crack the epic as of now, not even on list of cable supported phones.
so really doesn't even matter (for now) .
still kinda scary that they do this, and they're allowed to.

I have a major problem with the Power for my Epic. It is not rooted or anything fancy. The charging port is broken (yes, its all kaboom). I can only charge the phone by taking out the battery, charge the battery with a charger (available at Radio Shack for only $40!) and put it back in. The problem is...the phone won't turn on! I had to declare war yesterday until I finally forced Google to provide an answer which was to remove the battery, hold the Power button for 15 seconds, put the battery back in and turn it on. Hallelujah! It worked! Then later into half of the day, the battery was low, so I properly turned off the phone in order to remove the battery to charge it. And now the phone will not, I repeat, will not power back on under my command!!! I have tried and tried everything, alternating different ways and amount of seconds of waiting and holding the Power button....nothing! What can I do? I came across mentions of the Hard Reset button under the battery cover. I can't find it. Where is it? Also, is there any other way to make this work? I have to fight this every time I am done charging the battery. No, I repeat, it is not the battery since it works in another phone. It is the phone. Please help me! How old is the phone & do you have TEP?
Sounds like you need to take it to the Sprint store for replacement.
If you have TEP & it is over 1 yr old then it will cost $100.00 to replace it.
As far as the reset button......that's a myth.....some people have claimed to have it, but money has been offered for a picture of the magic button & no one has produced even one picture of the magic reset button (that I am aware of)......most of the Dev's on here will tell you the button is only a myth.......
It might be a year or a little less. I don't have TEP. The phone is all I have and I would rather not replace it, cuz Samsung doesn't know how to increase the 512mb to 1gb of RAM, so a lot of apps are making the phone freeze cuz RAM is always maxed out. I'm thinking about getting the blue S3, but really want to use the phone until then. I dunno why it won't power back on. I managed to get it to work once then it just cries cuz I take battery out.
I would suggest some options that require rooting & flashing a custom ROM to make the phone work as it should. But with a damaged USB connector on the phone (as I understood you to say you had) you cannot flash anything. There is no way of increasing the RAM in the phone, but the internal storage can be increased to alomst 700MB by converting to MTD. I have been running CleanGB MTD (slightly overclocked) for a long while now & this phone continues to amaze me. It handles everything I throw at it without any problems. It multi tasks great. Stock it may not be as good, but our Dev's here do a great job & have turned this phone into a great device. The RAM issue has not been a problem for me yet & I push this thing to do way more than it is supposed to do.
If it is less than a year old then the replacement should be $35.00 think. It's a handling fee Sprint charges with no TEP for warranty replacements. Sounds like you don't have an upgrade coming yet either.
Hopefully one of these other guys will have some insite into how to help this situation, but I am not sure what to do with a bad usb port.
monke30butt, will you help me one-on-one through PM or Messenger if I were to decide on replacing for another Epic? I really love the phone, just not happy with the RAM. If what you said is true, then I am interested in what you did on your Epic, so I can do the same. I don't do much, but I have themes, locker, launcher, other customs that takes up RAM. If you could help me, I would be willing to exchange for a new Epic. If you can't, I could try to risk the S3. The Epic is so glorious with the camera quality (compared to mom's phone making green look yellowish in aquariums), that Epic makes the green so deeply dark and lushy.
And I wonder how to add a stabilization feature to the camera's video?
If you need help, I can try to lend a hand.
For my current setup: All I did was root the phone, flash Clean GB MTD (The Peoples ROM is said to be good too), adjusted CPU speed with SetCPU & adjusted SD cache size to make the best use out of the class 10 memory card I installed (it flys now!!!). I didn't do anything special. The Dev's that cook up the ROM'S, mods, & various fixes should get ALL of the credit for the improvements of how the phone works. I just used what they posted.
They say the CM roms are very good too, but I have not personally tried them yet. Trying to decide between TPR next or CM7 w/crespo modem.
Yes, I've rooted this phone before and well, I don't know how I was able to do it, but I got it rooted, which is amazing for a retard like me. It was so kool. I can't remember what ROM I used and I got heavy help thru a chat on here and some people helped thru texting, etc. Then later, I had problems and it was hard for me to solve and accept updates and many things, so I went back to stock and I don't remember how I did that. Everything you said that you used are way different than what I used, so I guess those were developed way after the time I was into rooting and those wasn't available. At the end, when I went back to stock, the Epic place was slowing down and people were moving on, but surprised me to see some activity on here, especially from ya, so thanks. I will consider what I want, exchange or get S3. Another reason why I went back to stock was that with GO DEV Launcher EX, there was a glorious blue theme that was so perfect that it was everything that I wanted. When I rooted, I wanted to do that, cuz I wanted a nice theme for locker, text message, contact, etc, but I found out that GO made it possible for all of that without rooting, so it made it so much easier for a lil retard like me, but I do miss the plentiful of RAM and removal of Sprint's junk including that stupid Optimizer, etc.
Well, that explains your RAM problems. The GO products are nice, but they eat your resources.
Go to the development section and go to the rooting sticky. Watch QBKing's video a couple times. Even my 2 year old could do it after watching that.

Yeah. GO are very devious. I've always wanted to start Wake Up GO DEVils website to force them to listen and change. One example, in the Dialer, they took away the ability for us to dial a number and select Text. The only big button available down there is Call, which is highly offensive to thousands of deaf customers. Hundreds of emails, GO DEVils continued to ignore. Plus, they do random "air push" (I think is whats the name) notification ads and adding icon ads. Want to know the shocking thing? Mine are free (maybe one was paid, I dunno), but majority of what I downloaded and used are free. Not once do I get any junky ads. Okay....how about mom? Tons of ads!!! She and I use the same thing other than hers are pink theme (which are a paid feature) and those are loaded with ads. Did the GO DEVils ever listen once to correct this and behave? Never!
Lol that's go for ya... if you decide to stick with the epic and want to root it... you can pm me for help or hit me up on gtalk... I am pretty active on here and can walk you through it... gtalk is xda username at gmail.com....

It looks like Radio Shack is trying to scam people. Their $99 price is for new account only and it doesn't include new line, either, that I had done for my Epic. The new line price is $199. So, I am leaning toward replacing the Epic with another Epic. However, I do need to know something. GS3 have Stabilization for the pix/vidz, which is something that I seriously need since I always do pix and vidz with my smartphone. Epic does not have that. Is this a hardware or software feature? If it is a software feature, are there any camera app on the market that includes Stabilization? If not, I will fork over the money for the GS3. Btw, now I see two people offering one-on-one help. That makes it super hard for me to decide and pick one.
If I do decide on staying with the Epic, then rooting will mainly be for the RAM space as I will continue to use GO software and themes that I love.

I still need to know about the Stabilization.
ive asked a couple time on here before about this but all i ever get is smart remarks. i have a s3 that i have had rooted and put hell fire rom on it.idk if that has anything to do with the problem. i been running hell rom for about a month with no problems. and one day i wake up and my phone didnt cut on or nothing. i never droped it. so i know its not that. after messing with it for awhile i figured out that the phones led comes on when connected to a power source with out the battery in the phone. it will not do this with the battery in it. i have tryed booting into download mode. it never worked. im curious to think it is a battery issue. but i cant be sure. and before i waste my money on a battery it would be great to get some help on what to do or what the problem is..

yes. it didnt reconize it. but maybe im just missing somthing..
if you connect to your computer does it usb wizard come up saying "QHSUSB_DLOAD"?
my phone is in the same situation as yours right now. completely bricked
How is it even possible to get a complete brick by not flashing anything? Just wake up one morning and your phone doesn't turn on? Doesn't make any sense...
I have and the S1,2 &3 flashed 100's of ROMs and usually the only thing that can hard brick a Samsung is flashing a ROM/Kernel for another phone or a bad flash from ODIN.

If you think it could be a battery issue, try going to a local place that sells the phone and just ask if you could try a battery in your phone.

thats my plan. although i did ask walmart and they said no lol.
You did something that youre not telling us because things dont just break randomly, and/or without cause 99% of the time.
I dont help people that try to act like "i dont know what happened, it just magically stopped working maybe a unicorn tampered with the motherboard while i was asleep" kind of nonsense.
The guys on here are trying to help you and youre not giving any information at all. So go and waste your money and buy batteries, service calls from a repair center.
But "i dont know maybe im missing something", and "i dont know what happened" is not an acceptable response from someone seeking help.
So go ahead and pulll out all the four letter words and insults, but until you start to pony up some good information your phone will be dead, and you can begin preparing it for its next stage of "life" which would be a desk decoration or christmas tree ornament

stop being so mean bro. if i knew anything else i would tell you. ive had tons of android phones and have fixed all my problems. i understand you need more info. well so do i. everything i told you is the truth. and 100% true of what happen. nothing has ever happen to me like this. if you cant help, thats fine. i understand that. but just say that. dont be rude and disrespect to me just cause "you think" im lieing.
I'm just thinking from Windows perspective, considering MS can corrupt files if you pull out laptop battery before shutting down the windows. How about with Android? If I pull out a battery before shutting it down, will anything in N2 going to get corrupted?
Here is why I'm asking. For anybody with Zerolemon, you can probably relate to this. The battery is huge and TPU case is tight, so on one occasion when I was taking case off I pulled the battery out as well. And in general, while I'm switching between TPU case and Defender mod, if I pull out a battery in the middle of use without shutting down N2, would it cause a problem?
i've tried it when its annoys me

I don't think so. I've done it countless times, but I switch ROMs so often that *maybe* the slight software defects go unnoticed. I think its fine though.
Just a guess here, but I would say yes to this an any other electronic device BUT.................we have come a long way in the IT field!! Most Servers (I said Servers, not cell phones?) have an internal battery that prevents (in a way?) this sort of thing. I can pull the plug, but its still several seconds before it actually shuts down (depending on WHAT was actually running when I pulled the plug.)
With that said, and after I thought about it, maybe not. just like letting your battery die? Phone will shut itself off automatically to save settings, so there maybe a little juice just for this?
Just a thought.

The answer to your question is "it depends." It's like running a stop light. Maybe it's OK, maybe it's disaster.
I've been using Android since 2009 and I DID have one incident pulling the battery. I needed to change batteries and powered down. I was in a rush so I pulled the battery before it was fully down. Big mistake. When I put the new battery in and powered up I was at the factory reset. I had to reinstall everything. Very bad.
On the other hand, I've removed the battery, either on purpose or accidentally, many times over the years and only that one time did I have a problem.
I've been pulling batteries for years with no ill effects... He'll that's how we fixed glitches on blackberry and htc devices.

I do it all the time and never had a problem. Android is based on Linux which is in turn quite different from windows. You don't need to shut down Linux either. You can just pull the plug out while you're in the desktop and apart from the fact you'll loose any unsaved changes to your documents there will be no ill effects.

I have been pulling my battery for years, even in the old Windows Mobile & PocketPC days. The only thing, I could think of, is to be careful about **(in my opinion) is if you had something writing some type binary file to the external SD card.

Then you're lucky. The file system is still open and can get corrupted.
That's not to say I haven't done that, but pulling the battery from a running system is my last resort, not my first choice.

No. I've been pulling batteries on over a dozen devices for years. Nothing will happen.

This is true.
I dropped my phone, my battery fell out,v and all my data from Simpson's tapped out got corrupted. Rare, but it can still happen.

Listen to this guy!! I have been in IT since 1983, pulling the battery could cost you millions! ($1.8Million to be exact) The good side, I got 50 shares of stock to fly to Dallas and rebuild server! :good: Listen to John, last resort.
What I have found with Android, as stated, if you have something open, you lose it AND you sometimes get 1/2 way up (Android Guy), then have to use power button to shut it off, then power button to cut it on. Good Luck!

In general that's the point of using a journaling file system, but it is not complete immunity from corruption.
Rare, but not impossible.

I agree with you 100%, not completely an assurance with a product like Visions Solutions ODS/OMS or MIMIX for journaling BUT, worst case, both servers are in same Data Center and you lose power and generator does not kick in? Best case, you only lose last transaction, role swap to target, activate user IP on target, let users work, switch them back when ready on source system, let journaling catch up.............
I've don't that a few times I guess you can tell John? Oh, and if you work for a Casino company, that property is losing 'X' hundreds of thousand of dollars a minute because all machines automatically shut down and you have some a** reminding you of such every 15 seconds or so and how they have to give customers free food and drinks to keep them from leaving and you need to work faster !! I should have studied harder in college and been doctor or lawyer like my mother said?

It amazes me when I give a common sense best practice coming from far more years of experience than I would care to admit to; then having it dismissed in an off hand fashion of "it hasn't happened to me yet, so it can't be a problem." It only takes one time.

Back on topic and to the OP, this guy (his name is John?) seem to know a few things. LISTEN to him!! You can pull that battery a million times successfully with no problem. It only takes ONCE and all hell breaks loose (like your in the middle of Android update or camera was open and you loose all you pictures?) there are other options, soft reset or ask someone here. You get an answer pretty fast.. ........
The only other thing I can add? Backup your phone often and move backup to your laptop, desktop, USB Drive.......Whatever. And if your into rooting and flashing ROM's, Titanium Backup is a must!! I think I paid like $9.00 but its a life saver!! I have mine auto set for 3AM Monday?,
Either way, good luck!
John,
Since we are all friends here, quick funny story. I worked for payroll processing company. we were doing new internet project and along the way, it never worked correctly. They hired this white boy (I will explain that later!) as president of some crap from M.I.T. and as I used to work for IBM, he wanted me. He had this bright idea to upgrade and do re-org on DB as same time. In planning this, I found IBM White Paper stating "Not to do this unless instructed by IBM Development?" I did not test this, I just showed idiot this paper? His thing was, "Don't worry about it, I will do it myself?" My thing to my direct manager..............I was told to leave him alone. I always knew DB2 and Orcale did not play nice. I know DB2, not Orcale, but I know they are not friends. Friday he did it, Saturday I was on my way to dallas!
Now said white boy as an a**! A A** to everyone around except me and another brother. He treated us like pets for some odd reason. BB (I use initials) leased a Lexus on company because he told him he was tired of putting mileage on his car? I got suite at hotel because I was working MAD hours and r.oom was killing me. One hand, I hated him. He dropped my bosses budget from $5Million to like $250K? but hey, he was hooking me up?
The VERY next Tuesday upon my return, he wanted to talk. Idiot had plan for Friday to again do this. My thing was, we need to bring in IBM Development. His thing was.,"I have 2 Masters from M.I.T, I don't need IBM!" I told my manager AND his boss at the same time (I'll never forget cause it seems like yesterday) "Don't call me this weekend and if you I will immediately resign!" Now me and my manager were like brothers, he** I loved him more then my actual brothers! We had travled the together, our families knew each other. He knew I was serious!
Friday I go to Happy Hour then Liquor Store for bottle of Remy' Martin and case of beer. 2:00AM I start to get hammered. 8:00AM doorbell rings, its my manager, he just tells me to read this! A note from CEO, fly to Dallas, fix AS400 (AS400? that funny cause they have changed Server name like 3 times since then?) and I will give you 50 shares of stock and anything Hardware Support needs? I'm drunk and tired and don't feel like packing crap. Manager says, I'll take you to PHL and go with you, we can get clothes in Dallas? Hum................
After my return, a few things changed!!! I personally had lunch with CEO (he was in another city, saw pictures, but never met him?) He told me this could never happen again. I told him I told his choice idiot, my manager, and 3 other VP's days before his planning, NOT to do it. He told me if I have any trouble out of idiot, call his cell phone and gave me his cell number. After him, idiot and I meet. What can we do to prevent this?
1. Don't do it again, bring in IBM. Done
2. The 11 guys in my department have been doing my work remotely and helping me on this internet project. They need new laptops. Thinkpads. 1.5GHz Duel Core with 2GB of memory (Hey, that was huge back then!) Done.
3. I have really been busting my a** from 7:30AM to 10:00PM 7 days a week. I really need some rest and get away. Additionally, I have no clue whats going on in my department............................I would have been fine with weekend in AC, 45 minute drive. Me, 11 people in my group including manger AND their family's flew to Disney. We had 2 hour meeting in conference room on Friday and partied like he** until Monday!!
Like you stated, it's one in a million pulling that battery, but if you get that once, there is a HUGE price attached!
Hope you all enjoyed my story!
