Just In Time compiler..
For more info on compiler, try googling or wikipedia..
If it's not enabled by default, probably not required anyway. The phone already runs at a lightning pace.
Cheers.
Since Android 2.2 the JIT compiler has been included & switched on by default.

Hi all,
A very quick one... can you name the ROM you're happiest with at the moment and the one you've had the most success with.
Thanks!

how did you manage do install it without new bootrom?
if you mean the bootloader, yes, the stock rom flashes the 0.80 bootloader.
iirc there's a guide around there to flash custom roms also with the new bootloader.

Hi,

The 2.6.29 sources I have been using to compile the kernel.
Happy downloading.
Thanks a lot for this.
No worries. Hopefully the GPL police will stop annoying me
thanks, very nice
Thanks for share.
btw, what patch did you done in this src?
felata: diff it with vanilla sources...
feeyo: as i'm one of called by You as "gpl cops" - i'll try to stop annoying You
thanks for yours contribution!
essential files are missing....this *might be* goldfish sources, but it definitely wasnt patched for the hero..
?
What's the point in that file?
Just pull a head from http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=kernel/msm.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/android-msm-2.6.32

AOSP mainstream kernel, however we cant use it without heavy patching, because HTC phones need proprietary libraries that only HTC has.

There isn't a NAND version of this file.
I'm curious as to why you haven't PM'd me yet. Do you not want to work with the other devs?

Yea, I'm well aware of that. Trying to get him away from the dark side and see the light .
(He's obviously got some kernel code chops... he got BLAC booting on NAND, pretty much on his own.)

Would love to have him here. The more, the merrier.
Herrickwong, Hasn't HYC always made all of his changes open and available for all to see? You should be able to find all of his commits.
As I understand it, NAND has been using their own hacked up RIL, they haven't adopted mine yet.

on frx6 yes but our frx7 is using it (not yet released). Thanks to you who made it nand friendly. The old one was not friendly at all :-( ..
hey guys i brought something new iv'e been working on.my personal kernel based off of chonix's (jhonnyx) updated trinity kernelwhy should you use this compared to anything else?:
1: For fun
2: It has every overclock option i can pack into it,including:
"core" overclocking from ezekeels live oc
GPU oc from imoseyon
IVA oc ported from dtrails razr kernel <-a first for gnex as i know
CPU oc from morfic
3: It includes its own hotplug driver:will tisdale's generic arm hotplugging driver which performs better than intelliplug in my testing
4: it has actual hard coded voltages, smartreflex isnt even built in the kernel
5: it has ziyan's (daniels) new ram timings which give even better memory bandwidth
6: it has scu speculative line fills and full zero mode enabled for the processor <-NO DOUBLE LINEFILL
7: it has the 3.10 wifi drivers courtesy of jhonnyx
8: it uses TEUV voltages
9: the con kalivas linux patchset that no other gnex kernel uses, courtesy of poondog
10: the pvr governor ang gpu oc have been modifed to work with each other
other than that, its just one more modded to sh*t gnex kernel, but its mine and i want to share it as it gives me great battery and performance and its unique
i listen to requests,if there is something you want, speak up and we will talk about it :good:
btw, dont start any "this runs better than kernelx" bs here. thats disrespectful.
if you have a problem, dont get angry, write a post and we will troubleshoot
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE,YOU LOADED THE KERNEL.
i will NOT enable the double linefill from mpokang, mwisbest clearly showed everyone it cause memory corruption.
(clearly im not good with op's)
and my thanks go out to everyone on xda as there are way too many people for me to credit, thank all of you very very very much for your hard work.

@Kamin4ri do you think it'd be possible to make Oreo kernel support the same aftermarket panels as Nougat kernel did? It's only touchscreen that is not working. What kind of info could we provide to help to debug this? It would be insanely helpful for all of us with bricked phones
