Got my wife a DHD for christmas.....converted her from the dark side a.k.a. the iphone
She loves the phone, can't get over how much better (or unrestricted as she's been saying) it is, but she's giving me awful grief over the icon she can't get rid of.
Since changing over to it there is always the call forwarding icon in the notification bar? She is receiving calls without any problems so they're not being forwarded and when I check the settings for call forwarding the numbers are correct and call forwarding for all calls is disabled.
I've compared it to my regular desire and all settings are the same
Anyone?
I had the same thing on mine for the first few days then it disappeared. That's with Orange UK.

Okay, so T-Mobile USA "upgraded" their voicemail system yesterday. Aside from having to auto-enroll 5 times so far and create new passwords, the biggest change is that they no longer send a text message to notify of a new voicemail. On most handsets from other manufacturers, there is some kind of icon or notification when you get VM (my girlfriend's Nokia 3650 has a little icon that turns on.) I can't find anything similar on the PDA2K - nothing seems to happen when I receive a voicemail.
Has anyone else on USA T-Mobile figured out how to tell when they have a new voicemail? I've been missing my VM notifications all day and increasing the delay in returning phone calls.
Thanks!

phone t-mob?
most probably a problem on T-Mobile's end in that the notifications aren't getting sent to your phone to tell it u have a voicemail. The Blue Angel does have a voicemail icon... I'd give them a call and they'll probably sort you out with a SIM update for it.

Are there any ROMs that address the lack of in call notification (ie missing, dropped calls, etc), or apps? I just got this phone a few days ago , so I'm still figuring it all out. And, so far, that is my only hang up.
Thanks

+1 with the same question... I am missing important text messages while I am on phone calls due to lack of notification. I think I can workaround this by installing a third party SMS app, but I'd rather stick with stock and have a notification for incoming texts. This has not been an issue with all of my previous phones / ROMs (Cliq, Droid Pro, SGS4g, G2x).
Any Gnex ROMs correct this missing feature?
Haven't tested with sms, but when someone call me while I'm in a different call I get a notification.

Call waiting (received a call while on a call) seems to work fine. I am missing audible notifications for sms/text while on a call. The sms appears in the notification bar, but there is no sound. Do any AOKP/CM10/stock-based ROMs address this?
I'm looking for a new Text-To-Speech app that announces the name of who's calling and who's texting me. I just uninstalled Voice Alerts because it doesn't announce names without cutting out and worse, it doesn't stop announcing caller's names long after you've declined the call. I also used SMS Alerts and some others, but each one ends up failing.
Does anyone else use an app like this on their GN2?
Hmm... guess no one like to use TTS announcements instead of ringtones like I do. I did find and am trying out "Call Announcer". I had a minor problem at first so I contacted the Developer who replied fairly quickly. It's working so far.
I've used Full Screen Caller ID for quite a while: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androminigsm.fscifree&hl=en
Besides the bigger contact picture, it will announce calls and read text messages.
Turn on driving mode under touchwiz. (You will find it under the quick toggles in the pull down notification screen.)
I am not 100% it works the way you want it to, but it does announce who is calling and who sent you a text message. Play with it.
I was wondering how that was happening on my mom's note.
I have a t-mobile branded 7T that I unlocked and global'ified to use dual SIMs. as I live overseas, I have both my t-mobile sim (for text message for 2FA) and my local sim. To avoid accidentally picking up the phone for scam calls, I did unconditionally forwarding to my google voice number. But because of this, it now shows an annoying notification "forwarding all calls" that can't be dismissed.
I've gone into the notification settings and deprioritized it as much as I can (so its generally on the bottom and "minimized") but wondering if anyone knows a way to get rid of it for good on a non rooted phone?
I have my eSIM configured in my Pixel Watch LTE, and all is working fine so far. However, from time to time I'd look to have my little son wear the watch, when he is out and about alone by himself, so he can call me in case he gets lost, or I can find his location. Generally, this works, but the problem is that the watch also rings when I receive calls: The eSIM is a MultiSIM of my Vodafone contract, so it has the same number as mine in my main phone. Of course I don't want my son to receive my phone calls on the watch.
Is there any way of disabling incoming phone calls, or the the notifications / vibrations of them? Or, ideally, disabling the signaling of any incoming call except if it comes from a certain number (like my own landline)?

I haven't received the watch yet, but it should have Do Not Disturb settings which you should be able to configure as you wish. For instance, your son could receive calls from Starred contacts only, while all the others are blocked.
Edit: See here
" Do Not Disturb: Turn off all notifications and silence incoming calls. Press and hold to customize exceptions for priority and repeat callers, alarms, and media sounds. "
That's the perfect solution, thank you very much!
