So I have a droid incredible Rooted running Skyraider Sense 3.5 Have a 16gb micro SD card filled up with about 14gb of Music... Now after I transfer all of the music when I'm in the actual music player (HTC sense music player) It's fine when navigating a playlist, but when going back out to the long list (the one that has all the artists) there's about a 5 second lag with the little wheel spinning top right corner (I assume it's searching the SD card) Help Please I listen to music all the time and this is very annoying. Much thanks
I have even less on mine (about 4 gigs of music) and the sense music player is too laggy. when i try to scroll through the list it is so slow. I ended up replacing it with doubleTwist. I moved the sense player to a backup folder and now i only use doubleTwist. There is no lag. Works great.
It also has nice widgets, though the free version only comes with one.

Is there currently a way to point the HTC Sense music tab to another app? CHTEditor doesn't have an option for "music" in the "applications" section. I'm not trying to change the icon, just the target app when selected.
I'm currently using the T-Mobile HTC HD2 (Leo).. And like many with BIG music collections, I'm a bit tired of the Sense music player's lag when it searches the SD card EVERYTIME at startup. I've done all the file organizing tips, and I've done the startup link tip, but with over 12+ gigs of music it's not helping much. BUT... I've been using an alternative music app called iMulator and it loads SIGNIFICANTLY faster! And for those that like the bigger album art like zune, and ipod touch/iphone, then it's a lot easier on the eyes. Other than A_C's version called "S2P" which is very similar, I haven't seen a better alternative. These 2 apps work WAY better than the Sense player and it would be great if we could get the re-link figured out for the home tab.
Any Suggestions? Thanx in advance for your input.

Bump... Yeah, the Sense 2.5 Music tab is pretty, but picky/buggy.
Any one found a solution??? I would like to be able to use S2P instead of the Sense player, using the tab....
wow... 7 months later and i'm still bumping this thread... lol
I have a original Rom on my AT&T Tilt2, with 8GB microSD Card. I noticed that when I bring up the media player from TouchFlo and try playing an Album that the Songs are all out of order compared to the Original CD.
I have all my Songs Organized in Separate Folders for each CD and listed under the Correct Artist on my SD card...plus they appear in the correct order when opening the Windows Media Player...but the TouchFlo player seams to mix them all up.
Anyone else experience this, know what's going on, or have a fix for this?
Thank you
Yup, I've noticed this too. Doesn't do it on every album, seems kind of random. Overall, the HTC music player is pretty lame, IMO. I suggest you try S2P.

Yeah...it was random...annoying though...I'll have to look into the other player.
The HTC player is also pretty slow if you have a lot of music on your phone. Another annoyance, the HTC player will lump in all your podcasts and other audio with your albums.
No way to fix the song order though?
Not that I know of. I tried a million different things, both on the phone and with the media player library on my PC, and I never hit upon what causes it.
I finally gave up in frustration. Now that I have about 10-12GB of music on my phone, the HTC player is so slow that it's not much fun to use anyway.
Can somebody help me? I had a problem with isyncr copying of multiple copies of songs and I had some problems so since I only use the internal storage for music I just reformatted it to fix everything. Now the music album art is showing up in the sense music player but not the sense music widget.
I have tested the music widget on 3 different roms and get the same problem
Also I formatted from the phone from windows.
I think I fixed it. The problem seemed to be the gingerbread roms, not sure why it messed up on SR 3.5 too at first but it seems to be fixed.
Hi guys,
First time poster here. Great place to share the love of this fabulous phone.
I need some suggestions on a music player. I was using Winamp Pro on my GN as i also use this app as my music player on my laptop.
I need a music app to tied me over until Winamp is patched for JB
Any ideas?
Stock GN with 4.1.1
Thanks guys.
There are tons of threads about this if you do a search.
I use Google Music. It gives me access to all of my music on my laptop, GNex, and, starting in two days, my Nexus 7. This is great because only about 40% of my music is stored on this laptop, and the other 60% was lost when I reformatted the hard drive on my last laptop and moved to a phone without an SD slot. The Google Music app works great, and even though the widget is kind of crappy, I've found that all music players have crappy widgets.
try Cloud Skipper its a great alternative. Completely free, includes a built-in equalizer, and has a nice and simple widget
Hey guys, I am currently using an AOKP ROM, and I am wondering if there is an APK out there for the TW music player that doesnt need all the TW frameworks. I've tried many music players from the market, and I have even purchased poweramp. They still don't work as well as the touchwiz player. Can anyone help me out?
what did you like about the TouchWiz music player?
i personally disliked it, and installed Google Music right away. (plus, it can stream my entire library)
other notable music players are Winamp and Apollo.
I like to manually manage all my music on my SD card, so the Samsung player works great with custom folder structure.
I like that when you hit the back key it takes you back to the song view (my poweramp just closes, so I am forced to constantly hit the 'back' nav button built into the program and its uncomfortable)
Samsung player works really well with my car. Poweramp always looses my playlists and starts from the beginning, when I turn my car off and on, and has weird effects when you change songs.
Ill try Poweramp, and the Apollo from the market really is no good. I've seen the Apollo in CM, is that one different?
Apollo used to be available only with a CM ROM. but they have released it separately now.
i personally don't use playlists, i just listen to everything i have. and from using Google Music and Apollo, both go back a screen instead of exiting the app. i also haven't noticed any weird effects when changing songs.
