[Q] Old Desire with HD support

Hi all,
I have a rooted HTC Desire, with DeFrost ROM installed.
1. I wanna ask about, is that true if an Official Froyo for Desire HD/Z can be installed for old Desire too?
2. I was wondering, why Desire Z have a better performance rather than old Desire? Even those Desire Z have a low end spec rather than Desire?
3. Can old Desire supporting HD movie/games? like Desire Z/HD?

It's lower in terms of processor speed but the processors are next generation to the original Desire so perform the same at a lower frequency.
Put the HD ROM onto your Desire and see how you like it - it's very good

Where can i get the HD ROM? Do you mean any Costum ROM from Sub: Desire HD?

I don't think you can use any rom that was made for the Desire HD/Z on your desire because of the different kernel, the different screen size and other factors.

Just use one of the 3 HD ROMs currently up in the Dev forum, I'm using RCMixHD now and its awesome

What about battery life?
Normal like normal rom of Desire?
Or it uses much more energy?

I find it the same as stock 2.29.405.2 with my normal usage

im sure this will get moved to Q&A but ill answer here anyway. depends on what you are looking for. performance vs battery. im using lous #8 right now. its really smooth and snappy. everything seems to work fine with it. it plays nice with my warm z beta4. and the battery life is better than when i used ziggys 12.19 imo.

Desire user about to upgrade

hello dhd users. im currently a desire user and im contemplating upgrading to a dhd. my question is how much faster is the dhd? can it run n64oid without as many issues? can i p[lay goldeneye? i know the desire hd has a better cpu and gpu which is the reaosni ask. id like to stay with htc but may grab a nexus s. any info would b great. thx

[Q] Getting Stock(-like)Rom for HTC Desire

Hi guys,
as my Nexus 4 is about to arrive I'd like to flash back to stock rom (or something that feels like the stock rom in terms of usability and looks).
Right now I am running CM7, which is nice for me, but I want to give my Desire to a family member that never had a smartphone before and is basicly interested in mailing, texting, phonecalling and listening to music.
Some light surfing, that's it.
In my opinion she would be better of with the simple and easy-to-start with HTC Sense, so where can I get such a rom? Unfortunally I was smart enough to just flash CM7 without doing any backups..

Best One V CDMA ROM & Kernel?

I haven't been on here in ages to mess with my One V, I see we finally got the ability to S-OFF (awesome!) I haven't installed a ROM since at least May of last year and am still using the old CodeFireX with ION kernel from SimonSickle I haven't had any issues with it, but from a search it doesn't seem like CFX is really around anymore on here?
So are there any good ROM's that use a ION kernel and run smooth with wifi/3g? And also have we ever got the camera to work on a ION kernel?

We don't do "Best ROM" type threads here, everyone will have an opinion, and they are always different.
Best to flash the ones that look good and see what you personally think.
