USCC and Sprint are both CDMA...correct? Is it possible to get the desire to work on Sprint?
Sprint has either the Hero, or Evo for HTC Android phones. I can't afford a freaking Evo, and have a Desire just laying here.

Wait, the Desire does not use a sim card though. It is the US Cellular CDMA version.

As you know Sprint are the only network which will provide the htc evo 4g so far, is it possible for me the preorder the Sprint HTC Evo 4g to the UK and unlock it so it works on Virgin Mobile UK....
Short answer.....no.
Funny that there isn't a European version of the EVO.
Looking at the inside LINK: (iFixit), for developers, wouldn't it be just as easy to make one with a HSPA/WCDMA/GSM chipset?
(see CDMA chip on second page on iFixit)...
Still waiting for a European version of the EVO!........

I am on at&t and I got A Inspire 4g it is is Great Condition no Scratches or anything it is only a month old and i was wandering if if any one would trade me a Canadian G2 so i can use At&ts 3g and since the inspire 4g is new and the G2 is getting dated i would need it to come unlocked so i can use it that is a must and preferably i want it rooted so if you are serious about this you can just reply to this thread and email me your phone number and if you want i will send you a picture of the inspire
bump for your cause.
There is no canadian g2. Chances are you won't get 3/4g with it on att anyways

I'm sure that is what he means as well. The Bell Desire Z is fully compatible with ATT's 3G network.

The Inspire is just the ATT branded version of the Desire HD, which came out around the same time as the Desire Z/G2. And both phones are fully compatible with ATT's HSPA+ "4G" network.
What don't you like about the Inspire? If its the lack of keyboard, you should try Swype. But you would have to play some games in order to get it loaded, since Swype is not a Market app.
Where are you located? In in Ventura CA and am kooking to trade for an Inspire 4g for ATT. I have the Desire Z unlocked on ATT. Its in great condition. Maybe we can figure something out.

I know that the inspire 4g is the same as the desire us I just
ment that the phone itself is new. And I am talking about the desire z
but I thought if I put that in my post nobody would look. The reason that
I want a g2 is that I just love the way it looks and I prefer a hardware
keyboard. And to the person that asked I live in Somerset,Ky Zip Code 42501
and of you are serious about the trade then private message me your
phone number and I will text you

Every GSM phone has a sim card while CDMA phones don't use sim cards so you wouldn't be able to put in a sim card to activate it
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Dont waste your money. If you want an Android phone and on a GSM network you may look into the Samsung Infuse or something similar. But CDMA phones cant be used on GSM networks and GSM phones cant be used on CDMA networks.

Well heres the thing...I haven't had a phone since August and I'm on a tight budget right now. I've been looking at HD2's on Android but most of them are in New York (I'm in NJ)... The last phone I had was the Samsung Vibrant and it was terrible.. Phone calls were lost ETC (mind you, I had it rooted.) Before that, I had an HD2 and bricked it trying to get Android on it.. I've also been looking for a G2X, but still, thats a LOT more money than I was hoping to shell out.. I saw this add and kinda got really excited, since it was real cheap ($100..hes willing to go down to $75).

I found this on Google in less than 20 seconds...
Thinking of unlocking a Verizon Wireless LTE phone for use on AT&T's network, or vice versa? Think again. Verizon Wireless confirmed today that its LTE phones will not "be compatible on other LTE networks in the U.S." because "the phones will be on different frequencies," according to Verizon spokeswoman Brenda Raney.

Can you guys get to the Phone Info screen with the radio menu's? I heard they were taking that out of Sense 4.0, but if not this might be worth looking into. Rezound dev's have it working on GSM now with S-Off running MIUI, If this phone has "hidden" CDMA radios we could have a lot of cross platform dev's without them all having the same phones.

It doesn't. Nor does it have LTE. thus phone will never work on Verizon save someone opening it themselves and transplanting some CDMA radios into it using sorcery.

The AT&T model won't work on Verizon either. The Rezound is a world phone that's why it works on GSM.

Hey all,
I just picked up an unlocked HTC 10 to upgrade from my Nexus 5. Completely loving the phone and wanting to get one for my brother as a gift. That said, I've seen the Sprint version on sale locally through Craigslist for cheap. Does anyone know if the Spring version will work on T-Mobile?

It will not, sprint has a weird baseband thing where only sprint phones work with sprint and no other carrier. Sorry!
I don't mean to necro this thread too much but I was wondering if having S-Off would overcome this or is it a hardware thing?

Sprint hardware code is WHL when unlocked model is WL..
See below how the LTE band support varies between them..

Yes it will. I actually tried this. There is a guide to unlock the sim on the sprint subforum. I followed that guide, popped in a sprint sim and changed the radio mode and It worked
