Motorola Roadster TZ 700 Question - EVO 4G Accessories

Does anyone have one of these units. I cannot get mine to read the contacts from my Phone Book. It pairs and request access to the phone book, but only reads the number. Does anyone's unit read the phone book contacts as it is suppose to?

just bump this thread, how do you like this unit? it looks really nifty, but how is the text to speech function?

M1000 Advice

Hi,
New to all this, but I have had my PDA for over a year now, provided by my business.
I require some form of Hyper Term for the PDA, but need to purchase a 232 lead. Does anyone hear know where I can get one cheap, or have the pin outs so i can make it myself.
Next thing, it will not receive notification that I have voice mail, and will not receive text messages.
Also, are there any upgrades available for it that are worthwhile doing?
Cheers
Vince

FM Radio for HTC Wizard

Ok so this is my first post here, so if I drop a clanger, please bear with me.
I've got an HTC Wizard (T Mobile Vario etc) but there is something I'm really missing.
Does anyone know of anybody that makes & sells a wired hands free kit with a built in FM Tuner? I would have preferred a built in FM radio in the phone (yes I know, I should have got an Atom), but I didnt & now I have to live with it.
I know Nokia & Sony Ericsson do external tuners for their phones. It should be easy with an Wizard because the only connections are via jack sockets.
I have turned EBay upside down looking for this type of thing, but all I can find are cheap looking plasticy things from China that run on watch batteries! I was looking for something a bit more up market.
I'm sure I can't be the only person in the world that
wants an FM radio bolt on for their Wizard!?
Or am I???????????????????????????????????????
you can get a fm radio sdio card which would add fm radio to all pda's with a sdio slot
the Wizard uses MiniSD, and as such won't work with any SD I/O cards. Afaik, you can't get an SD I/O > MiniSD converter either?
This is not good news. I too have seen the SDIO cards. I think all they do is bleed power from the device, rateher than being truely integrated. But never seen a mini SD devive
Anyone seen anything combined into a headset?????
Plenty of radios that are basically stuck on a plug and two earbuds;
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0002EQXFK.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
But I don't know if they work together with the Wizard for e.g. voice commands (which I personally don't use, so doesn't matter to me)
Yes I am aware of the type of radio that you mention. As I said in my original post "I know Nokia & Sony Ericsson do external tuners for their phones". Problem is they dont have the correct plug to use with a wizard (ie 4 conector, 2.5mm jack plug) which is what you need to listen to MP3 music (for example) then maybe switch to a phone call & then listen to the radio all using the same headset. The Motorola one is close, but the pins on the jack plug are not correct Something like this would be great, ie a headset (with microphone) + a radio. Am I asking for too much?????

I guess you are
Could take some cutters and a soldering iron and work some magic with that :>
Hi, have a look on the following link, it is the one i am using.

N I C E !
It almost fits the bill. If only it could use the bluetooth connection to use the MP3 player on your phone (in stereo of course). I think I need one of these N*k*a (sorry I nearly swore) & A2DP. Assuming the T Mobile ROM ever turns up will A2DP work on a wizard?
Why is it that the BIG 3 phone companies look after their phones with good accessories? Come on HTC, your phones are great, but they need to branch out & support the phone range with some add on goodies.

You're right about that. I had an SDIO WiFi card for my magician. Whereas the battery would normally last a few days, it would be dead within an hour with the WiFi card in.
Hello any news on this yet?
Hi,
I have been searching around for something like this too. Unfortunately no luck.
Any of you guys find something interesting?
rohseq
Sadly not. I too am still searching the internet for something, but so far nothing that matches the criteria has popped up. Its becoming more & more annoying :x Every time I see something its a specific product for one of the big phone manufacturers. Clearly they put a value on selling accessories (presumably for a good profit) to enhance their phones, whereas most Windows powered phone owners are left to fend for themselves with stuff off fleabay.
Makes me wonder if its worth going down this route again So far I have had an original SPV, E200, C500, C550 & now a Vario (Wizard). Next time around I might go back to the big "N" & enjoy the benefits of buying something from a fully supported product range.

I have dug and dug - can't find the company on BBB online- the address brings up a residential location, on Gmaps you can even see someone's pickup outside the garage.
I cannot find the business listed on the FL Dept. of State corporation search (www.sunbiz.org)
I ran the phone number listed on the site and found this:
This site is a scam so don't use it they will rob you
communicareinc.com — This site is a scam and this is the email address that they use [email protected] and Phone: 1-888-357-0451 the claim to sell gsm unlocked cell phones

on 03/25/2009 I dont think So cherry. I Received the Sony Bravia Tv i purchased from them. Maybe you had something wrong somewhere.
So, why is the number linked to a different business name, that also "sells phones"? - although there was a positive review- though it could be BS...-
hate to be so salty, but I straight up emailed the guy and said that if a successful transaction were to take place, I was certain I could send more buisness his way-thinking of everyone here of course. More specifically, if someone on XDA said they bought a TP2 from this site, I would be much more inclined. Any research anyone else can do to verify/disqualify this place would be great.
all those lil sites are bull!! I emailed back and forth with some guy from 1 of these sites, I asked him 2 send me a pic of the phone and I would buy it. The no count Ass**** sent me a pic of a TOUCH PRO!!! and 1 of those factory pics u can get on any site, unbelievable...
To play safe, just buy from HTC authorized reseller. Why bother how much they sell and you will have worried free and no headache.

[Q] I'm looking for an One X NFC antenna

So a friend of mine wanted to open up his phone.
And internally he massed something up, and now his NFC Doesn't work anymore.
I suspect it's the antenna sticker.
Does anyone know where to get a new one?
Ofcourse I googled, and tried Ebay, but i can;t seem to find any!
Thanks in advance
I'd say he needs to get a new case
Never saw a sticker alone on sale

That's awful, really. However, I know that some guys are just selling NFC antenna for different mobiles online in recent days. So maybe this time you can google "NFC antenna" and find them. Of course, most of the manufacturers like Sunshine Good Electronics only deal with wholesale business. Therefore, you need to be patient. I really that the result that I am seeking for is on the second page last time.
ej i tink hes right you need a new back housing, i got one from ebay a little while ago, it was like €22 or something like that.

Replaced Sony WF-1000XM3 charging case, need to sync with buds

As the topic says, I lost my Sony WF-1000XM3 charging case and bought a replacement. The site says I need to go into a Sony repair shop to sync the earbuds with the case, but I found a site that sells the replacement case stating you just need to write the bluetooth MAC address to the case for the earbuds to sync them. It refers to the NFC Tag Data Writing Application, and I'm wondering if this is a specific app or if any NFC tag data writing app would work for this? Alternatively, if anyone happens to have a copy of the service manual, that would be awesome as well.
Thanks.
i have the same problem

Did you manage to find an NFC app for this as i am in the same boat as you, if so could you tell me the name of the app and where i can find it. I have so much spare time at the moment, being in lockdown, so i would really like to have a go and sync the case to the ear buds myself. I dont have any knowledge on how to do anything like this so it will be a challenge for me. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, actually, I did. BT Tag Writer is the app that I found that worked exactly as I needed. One thing I didn't realize was that you can't write a tag that's re-writable, it has to be a one-time-use or else the app will error out for you. But otherwise it worked perfectly and my earbuds and charging case are completely synced.

Could you eloborate a bit more? my charging case got wet and is no longer working. I was going to buy a new/used case off of ebay but I'm not sure if it will work or not. steps to get it setup would be greatly appreciated.
What exactly do you want to know? The NFC writing will only work if it hasn't been written to previously, which means you don't want a used case. The chip is only really useful for pairing the earbuds to a new device using that instead of Bluetooth. The app I used is located here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fi.siika.bttagwriter
I guess I was not clear that it must be a virgin case to program the NFC chip. Since mine was used off of eBay that was not an option. Plan B worked, I disassembled the cases and swapped NFC chips. Bit of a pain but it worked out perfectly.
