Titanium Backup
SUFBS
SetCPU
Shoot Me

are there any out of the norm apps you guys use?

cachemate, shootme, gscript, better terminal emulator pro, boot control, root explorer, led me know, sqlite editor, SUFBS, dalvik explorer, torch (built-in CM but also available in market), and all the others already meantioned.

Cpu Tuner. In my opinion its better than Set cpu. Gives you more options.

Gotta have Titanium if you keep flashing roms, easy and painless way to restore apps and data. Worth the $5.

How do i get titanim backup to work?
I already have perm root and granted it permissions, but it doesn't load any of the apps on the phone. I was gonna use it toget rid of the bloadtware on my bell desire z.
I just switched from a galaxy s so i'm still learning the ropes of htc's implementation.

Ok, nevermind. Such a noob. I just updated busybox and it's working now.

U remove the apps? Did it stay after reboot?
Sent from HTC Desire Z using XDA App
nope, they are long gone. i used titanium to remove bloatware from my sgs before i switched to the desire. it's also really useful when flashing a full firmware coz you can back up and restore apps + app data in batches.

Titanium was fixed the other week to allow removal of system apps on the Desire Z and HD (before we had S-Off).
@jark99: yup. Just be sure to know exactly what you want to remove, and be careful not to remove important sys apps. One rule: if you're not sure the app should be removed or not, don't remove it.

Root and use a tool such as root explorer to delete the relevant .apk from system/app/ directory. Oh and next time, use the search!
Regards.
Root and use Titanium Backup to Freeze the app, then after a while you are sure the phone is still working properly you can uninstall the app using Titanium Backup. If strange things start happening unfreeze the app.
free solution
root and use 'Antek app manager' to freeze the app, it's free.
freeze is available in Titanium Backup pro only, (paid version).

Is there a way to stop an app connecting to internet without having to disable alla data connection?

I use DroidWall. It's free on the Market, but it does require root. I'm thinking most if not all of your choices of an app to do what you are asking will require root.
Wow thanks. I already have that app and I thought I'd read it trough thoroughly but there you see.
Anyone know if you can disable apps from starting at all, e.g. Social hub?

For freezing apps you could also use app quarantine, I like it best.

Easiest way to remove basic superuser and install superuser elite?

Is it as easy as uninstalling the first .apk in the system folder and reinstalling the new one back in there? For some reason I don't know if that will work just that way with superuser.
Uninstall super user go to market purchase superuser elite and enjoy ??

Yea I thought I tried this like a year ago and stuff got messed up. Maybe I didn't change the properties after installing it and moving it into the system folder (with root explorer) but something didn't work.
Actually I may have been mistaken it might be just the unlocker you have to purchase on top of the basic app.
Dude you want the pro version well idk if it requires an unlocker or there is another standalone app for it but download from market "fast uninstaller " and delete the Super User app and install the other pretty easy..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Superuser elite just installs on top of superuser. It unlocks extra features. Not useful without the basic superuser.

Best Rooted Apps?

Hello Everyone!
I just reciently rooted my HTC One V and have gotten some decent hacking apps [ Faceniff, DSploit ]. These work and dont work from time to time. If anyone can suggest some other great hacking apps, or just apps that are good ( Which require root ) please reply or post a link below!
Thanks,

Just beware that on Cyanogenmod for our phone, network tweaks kills reception and WiFi. Only reception will be seen.
I recommend Rebooter, Solid Explorer, and Titanium Backup.

My best apps would include...
Here are my best 3:
1. AirDroid - allows remote control of your phone from a web browser
2. Fing - General network tool include ping, traceroute, network scan etc... very nice indeed
3. Wi-Fi analyser - shows wireless signal strength and channel use for all nearby wireless network
Enjoy!

I'm using RhythmicRom along with rom tool box and I'm having issues with the boot animation I select through the toolbox. Basically, lol, it will update, but no bit anim will play... any input?
