Hey all,
Got a stupid problem caused by myself...
But don't know how to fix it..
I changed "menu bar font size" to standard in "User Interface".
But this is way to big.
I wanted to change it back to 800 but there is a little problem...
I can't change it by typing some numbers.. I can only choose from the menu..
Is there a way to fix it with "regedit"?
Thanks anyway!
Greats,
Leek1001.
Hi leek
You can change the font size with this reg. key:
(HKEY LOCAL MACHINE)
System/GDI/SysFNT/ in the SysFNT you will find the letters (HT) in this is the value normally 900 you can than change what you want, unfortunatelly I'm not sure whether it change also the menu bar font size, give it a try it don't hurt.

Nope didn't work to bad.
Thanks anyway.
Any suggestion's?
Greets,
Leek1001.
well I found it, thanks lumisab you gave me the right direction.
It's in: HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/System/GDI/SysFNT/GWE and not GDI
In GWE is a map called 'menu' and in there, there are two maps
- BarFnt
- PopFnt
There I changed both 'Ht' to 800.
Greets,

For the life of me, I can't get this to work since upgrading to WM6 (Black Edition 2.0). Whenever sending a text or email, nothing comes up in the To field when typing. I've already tried searching. Any ideas?

A long shot since you come from US... but even though... have you somewhat changed any of these reg entries in order to change your keyboard mapping - in case, change them back to what it was:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\keyboard layout\Preload]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\keyboard layout\Preload\1]
edit: and you have checked 'Suggest words when entering text' under Settings -> Input -> Word Completion ?

Yes, I have. I'll give it a shot.
That did the trick. Thank you very much!
Keyb mapping ok + autocomplete
Thanks!
It works so the only tweak to do is (read from wiki) :
Modification to keyboard hack. The above solution does not work for the Hermes the following new settings are required.
Goto the following registry entry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oem\Qwerty]There is a key called 'Layout' and it is in Decimal.
The default value of English ROM is 20409, and Chinese ROM is 20404 (both are in hexadecimal).
The suitable value for German Hermes keyboard is 20407 (132103 in decimal).
The suitable value for Spanish Hermes keyboard is 2040a (132106 in decimal).
Probably Hermes use 20+country ID (409=WWE, 407=German, 404=Trad. Chinese, etc...) format for keyboard layout value.
Does anybody knows where and how i have to change the registry file to modify the color of the operator and date text in the HTC Home plug?
Thanks in advance

I also would be interested in this. Then I could match them to my clock color!

I like your theme, can you upload? thanks
yes. would like to know that as well. I tried to use white background and those text color from HTC home is unreadable.
there are some entries on registry; I tried to change them pointing to a specific font on windows dir, but no success.
nevertheless, since my version don't have the tab entry on registry, I don't know if it is reading settings from registry...
Try yourself to see what you get and please report.
that would be interesting.
cheers

I was wondering if anyone knew the reg hack to change the startmenu/softkey font to Arial..
The great majority of users I know use a replacement start menu of some sort making it as easy as going to the options. If you want to change the default start menu's font I am relatively certain that it will change everything that uses the system font. I would find the reg-edit for you, but I don't have my registry editor installed right now, you can probably find it on Google.
Kevin1a, unfortunately not, mate. I've changed my system font by SPB Tips and Tricks and it did not change the softkeys' font. And SPB changed three types: main font, menubar font and popup menu font.
I also tried SKTools, but I did not find any option to change them.
In fact, I really want to know how can I change the softkeys' fonts too.

Can anyone tell me how to change font sizes?
I have tried nueFonts, INGChangeFonts and Advanced Config, as well as editing the HKLM\System\GWE and \GDI registry keys directly, as described here and here. The registry values are being changed, but the fonts do not. Exception: I found one app, Mauro Venturini's Shortcut Creator, that seems to be paying attention to these registry settings. No others do.
I am particularly interested in changing the font size of the pop-up menus that come up when you tap a softkey.
Thanks!
change the Ht of PopFnt
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu\PopFnt

Thanks for responding... but as I mentioned in my initial post, these registry keys are not having any effect on the font sizes on my device (with the exception of one application). I'm trying to find out why this is the case.
i think it has something to do with the theme you are using...
there was a time when i uninstalled all my themes, the menu changed back to the WM6.1 style.
Dear friends,
I have problem to read contact No., it is very small.
How can I change font or font size to bigger one?
My phone model is HTC touch hd, Windows mobile 6.5

With best regards
E. Mahmoodi
Hi esmaeil
You can change the FONT size on you phone in your phone registery!you need for that the registry editor, I put underneath a download link, if you need it,OK to change you have to go to the key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/GDI/SYSFNT,in the sysfnt you will finde the letter (Ht) tick on it inside you will finde the Value data with the numder 900 ,normal is it 900 it can be more or less, but thats not importent.Change the value to higher=Biger letter, lower= smaler letter that's it
