Hello, I was just wondering what the differences between this phone for AT&T and the HTC Fuze for AT&T?
Also, would it be possible to run Android on the Tilt 2 or the Fuze?
Thank you.
The fuze is the touch pro 1, and this is touch pro 2. TP2 has better perfrmance than fuze and more ram, processor, rom memory, higher screen and a better touch pad

I understand that the codename Rhodium refers to the HTC Touch Pro 2 series, but what does the codename Manila mean?
Also, wasn't the Rhodium called the Fortress at some point? The seem like the same design.
Manilla is Touch Flo
Fortress (Tilt 2) is the AT&T TP2 soon to be released.

Thanks. Why is the codename different for ATT when all the other carriers use Rhodium for the TP2?
Hey folks,
I still stick with my TyTn II but it’s time for a new deveice I think the Rhodium is a good upgrade but all these different models are confusing me:
Rhodium 100
Rhodium 300
Rhodium W (which has CDMA is that right?)
...
I ve been looking around and I have no idea which carrier provides which model. Also I want to know what is the difference between all these models.
For example the T-Mobile version looks very different to my but maybe the hardware specifications are the same?

Which version of HTC Touch Pro 2 is better ???
ATT Tilt 2
or
Tmobile's HTC Touch pro 2
For me, ATT Tilt 2 looks attractive in features...
What do you guys say ??
Who is your carrier? Or are you picking carriers too?
The ATT versions is the only one that will get you 3G on their network. But it also has a row of near useless symbols and punctuations on the top row of keys, instead of numbers that every other version of the TP2 has. You have to use the Fn key to type any numbers on the ATT version.
I would guess it would depend on what carrier you want. However as noted before if you want to use 3G in North America then you are left with the Tilt2. I dont mind the punctuation symbols as I only use numbers once in a while. My Kaiser had the embedded numbers and I did not find it awkward at all.
For me there was no choice. I want to use 3g in Canada so it was Tilt2. Just be thankful you can get one in the States from a carrier. Rogers here is still selling the Tytn for $200 with 3 year contract. I got rid of that phone 2 years ago when it was 2 years old.

It all depends on tastes but have a look here and see what members prefer most:

I presonally prefer the unbranded version (dont care really about 3G)
ATT Version has 3 3G bands while T'mobiles version has only two - out of which one is unique only to T Mobile.
Also
Built IN FM in ATT's version (Tilt 2).
But T Mobiles version by default have no FM Radio. But we can install and use it. I saw in my frineds mobile.
Though, it played, He had difficulties in scanning and playing the FM.
I have a T-Mobile (GSM) HTC Touch Pro 2 and would like to use it with Sprint (CDMA) service. Can I do this and what do I need to do to allow this to happen?

unfortunately you can not do this as it is a hardware difference not a software diff
You would need to either buy or maybe trade someone for the CDMA version. Different hardware inside.
hi .. can i turn my t-mobile touch pro 2 in to cdma? the reason why im asking is because i wanna go to sprint and i read that the touch pro 2 has the hardware already for cdma,.. so can someboyd help me with this? thanks
No, like most Rhodium models, T-Mobile Rhodium is a GSM-only version featuring only GSM-compatible hardware. Only the devices sold on CDMA networks like Verizon and Sprint have GSM capabilities as well as CDMA.
nope, sadly you can not.
However, currently if you start a new 2 year contract with Sprint, you can get the Rhodium400 (Sprints version of the Touch Pro 2) for only $199.99.
Since (I assume) you already have one Rhodium, you are well aware that it is worth every penny of the 200 bucks.
yep i know.. if i go to sprint i would just get the evo 4g
