My girlfriend has a Samsung Infuse 4G. She has an external battery charger and a second battery for swapping in the middle of the day. She managed to get the extra battery for about $30 through AT&T.
I just got my T-mobile SGS2 and I'm trying to get a second battery from tmobile, but as of yesterday they do not carry extra batteries for it yet, either in store or by phone.
I am wondering if her battery will work in my phone. She could order me one right now if they are compatible. It would actually make our lives a bit easier if we had interchangeable batteries.
I took a picture of them side by side. My battery is on the left, hers on the right. the only difference appears to be that mine says 6.85Wh and hers says 6.48Wh. Also mine mentions NFC right on the battery.
anyone know what Wh means? anyone know if these batteries are interchangeable? could I damage my phone if I put her battery in it, or vice versa?
if you use the other battery, you will lose the NFC capabilities
as it's build into the battery
Which really doesn't seem to be an issue since NFC isn't really in use by anyone right now.... So the battery should work? I'd love to find another battery that fits inside the stock case and extends the life of the phone.
Did it work? Update?

exactly my thoughts!!!!!
there are cautious people in this world (just like those drivers in the highway going at very slow speed)
if i was a newbie or not very well tech inclined, i would be afraid to burn my $600 phone by putting in the wrong battery
that's the most logical reason why

so he's asking people to burn their phone? LOL
no, I'm not asking anybody else to try it. im asking you guys if there's any chance of damaging the phone if I try it.
I don't know what Wh means on the battery. Does anyone here?
it's safe to do it, in case you didn't quite get the hint on my original reply
just take it out if you think that thing is burning up...
there doesn't seem any point in trying the swap now. Tmobile is offering a spare battery and battery docking station with external battery charger on their website for $50. It was just recently added to the website.
besides, losing NFC might not be a big deal at the moment, but down the road it could lead to not having your credit card available when you need it, based on the battery you grabbed that day.
often those external chargers go for $5-$10 on ebay alone. so getting the spare battery, another wall charger, and a nice docking station is worth the $50 to me.
Hey guys,
After having my Galaxy Nexus for little over a week, the battery is starting to worry me. I don't think the battery would ever last me one full day with heavy usage and I was wondering, do you guys know of a website or a retailer that sells an extended battery/extra battery or on the go charger for the Galaxy Nexus? I'm probably going out for the holidays and I don't want the battery to die on me.
I am using the GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus from Bell on Android Revolution HD (though I did notice the same battery life on the stock rom :/)
Also, on a side note, does anyone have a good site to get a USB otg adapter or a MHL-HDMI cable/adapter for a good price?
Note: I'd prefer not buying from Ebay, as I have had bad experiences in the past. Something like Amazon would be preferred.
Thanks,
Mosh

if your using the gsm gnex i would get the gnex carcharger from vzw, it charges the phone really fast(like the home charger) until you can find a gsm extended battery online or something
I'd go nuts having to constantly swap out my batteries to charge them at the end of the day. Get the charger.
Monoprice is a good place for cables. Power sources though are kind of meh.

I've got a spare battery and the factory stand that can charge the extra battery without it being in the phone on order. Not sure when they'll reach my shores but apparently "not too far away". I'm sure you could find a supplier where ever you are. IMO they were reasonably priced for genuine accessories
Thanks for the replies guys! I don't think I can get a charger from Verizon and it would probably be expensive. Oh, and just to confirm, by charger you mean on the go (without an outlet)?
EDIT: Also, do you guys know of any good websites in Canada?
EDIT2: Amazon is preferable!

You could, you know, do a search on amazon:

Been trawling the interwebs for an extended battery for gsm (like the gs2 one), If anyone comes across anything please post
Extended battery is still on sale for $24.99 I just ordered mine last night. Click the link and add to cart and it will price drop to $24.99.
Enjoy.
I'll let you know how much extra battery it actually gives once I get it but its supposed to help.
I would post the link but since I'm still so new it will not let me but just go to Verizonwireless and find it under the accessories. The Retail stores are doing the same deal as well.

Did you order from Verizon? Or from the link posted above?
I ordered directly from verizon, get free 2 day shipping as well. Its a actual bigger battery with new backplate to fit it directly onto the phone, so other then that you don't really even know you have the extended battery. I will know once it comes it how much bigger it makes the phone but I've heard its pretty minimal on the look of it. I don't know if this supports the GSM model since I am on Verizon and have the LTE/CDMA phone.
i got my car charger from expansys when i ordered the phone
Can anyone confirm that this will work? : http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-Ultr..._1_6?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1324279677&sr=1-6
I have purchased Hyperion back up batteries for my Note 2. I have used these on my S2 and S3 and they have always performed exceptionally well.
Now however, the batteries will not charge when in the phone. I have to use and external charger. Does anyone know of a fix for this situation? I have searched the entire site with no luck and also searched HF with no luck.
Thanks in advance for any help.
I remember seeing this problem in other forums and I don't think there is a solution except to buy OEM batteries. They don't cost much. I got 2 for $10 on eBay. They charge fine.

Thanks for letting us know not to buy these! Get a refund if you can.

Sorry you had to go through this. I tried a bunch of non-OEM batteries on previous phones, and they always seem to cause some of the weirdest problems (especially on my Sensation 4G - the screen would do bizarre things with non-OEM batteries). Luckily you had obvious problems - some people's lives become miserable due to subtle problems caused by bad batteries that they would never assume came from the battery.
I already bought a back-up OEM battery on eBay, though. I would recommend only New OEM batteries, though.
Im waiting for anker
I have purchased Hyperion batteries for my Galaxy S II and my original note and in both circumstances they gave me problems It seemed like the phone would run out of juice much faster than the OEM ones.
I would recommed sticking with Samsung original equipment. In my opinion, there is a reason they are less than half the price.
Hi folks,
I am in desperate need of a battery case that I can put the size of the SII battery into. I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Camera which takes the same battery as my Galaxy SII mobile. I've bought a couple of spare batteries as the camera is pretty hungry with power but need a way to safely store the batteries when out and about until needed.
I am contemplating buying a case made for the ipod nano 3rd generation as the batteries as roughly the same size but I would prefer a better solution if anyone has any ideas :good:
what about a wallet case that would work

I have gone for one of these today so just waiting to see if it can hopefully be used for what I am looking for
Cheers for the feedback :good:
i think that is a good choice the back of it seems to be able to store about 2 or 3 batteries
Hope so mate...just waiting on delivery and then time to put it to the test
I was wondering if someone had replaced the note 7 battery with the s8 one and if the connectors were the same or do you have to solder on the note 7 connector like with the s7 battery. Also would the s8 battery fit in the note 7. I am looking for a no soldering solution as my soldering iron broke and my note 7 battery died which will refuse to turn on even when plugged in. If you know where to buy a replcement note fe battery that will help me as well. thanks in the future to all those who contribute to helping me.
Edit
Bought a Note 7 battery off ebay but then power and volume stopped working. They let me return it still and got a note 8 with a new installment plan, to have the same success show them the Note 7 recall page on the sprint website even if they keep trying to refer you to samsung. I got the $100 off as well so it is worth it in my opinion note 8 is sick, only thing I hate is youtube keeps cropping to fit not a lot of videos have stretch and no xposed yet.
Tried battery and it's wider unfortunately so I can say for certain that won't fit. Also the lead is different shape so even if battery did fit it would need soldering.
