Hi guys,
I have a Desire with HBOOT 0.75 and CM7 but want to use the Revolutionary tool to get S-OFF now. So I need to upgrade my HBOOT to 0.93.0001...
I tried to install:
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed
because I read it contains HBOOT 0.93, is that right? But I got Error 131, that means I have to use a goldcard, right? Is there another way to upgrade to HBOOT 0.93?
Thanks for your help!

Im running CM7 = CyanogenMod 7.1.0RC1.
This one is S-OFF? How? I wanted to get S-OFF using the Revolutionary tool before updating to 7.1stable...
There is actually a CM7 Hboot and that's what I was talking about. Check http://alpharev.nl and maybe this can get you s-off.

Thx, used AlphaRev 1.8 with no problem!
Upgraded from HBOOT 0.75 TO 0.93
[hi,
1. Downgrade to YOUR original STOCK rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
2. Once installed go to settings, about phone and firmware update. you may need to repeat the step a few time.
3. HBOOT 0.93 installed.

I also have Hboot 0.80.0002 with S-ON, that link explains how to download Hboot 1.00.0002 to 1.00.0001 but doesn't work with 0.80.0002.
I have rooted and installed CM7, would there be an advantage to upgrading the Hboot or to getting S-OFF?
Im A Noob With This Desire But I Have Hboot 1.06, If I Turn S-OFF Can I Root?

Thanks So After i Flash CyanogenMod Can i Flash runnymede?
After flashing the froyo ruu, I have checked in my hboot and it still says alpharevx s-off. I'm slightly confused. Is it still safe to carry on with flashing a recovery and rooting again?

It's ok, flashing ruu don't restore your hboot...

Yes you can flash a recovery and get root again as long as you have S-OFF. Because Revolutionary changed the HBoot to 6.x. flashing an RUU with HBoot 0.80/1.00x cannot replace it. In case you want to get rid of S-OFF, you'll have to follow this:

hello, as i said my wildfire with HBOOT 1.01.0002 and it's written that it's S-OFF but when i try to flash recovery it wont. i rooted my phone before but i installed stock 2.2.1 rom recently. so do i have to make the whole process from the beginning and downgrade then S-off and all that stuff?
PLEASE answer me i'm afraid of bricking my phone and i do really need to root it now. will there be a problem if S-off while it's already s-off?
This also happened to me when I re-installed the stock ROM on my Wildfire. I did the whole process from the beginning again and it worked like a treat.
Message me if you need any help.

What method are you using to flash the recovery? Fast boot is not enabled on that bootloader version. You must use the pc49img method.
Flash the Revolutionary HBOOT
Fastboot flash hboot hboot.img
Or you can use the dd if of method.
