ya thats true, but whats the difference if the popup is shown on home or in the drawer. if u have many apps you can sort easily. for example u can put the shortcuts from folder organizer in the launcherpro dock. not in the main one, but on the side docks. anyway it would be nice to sort the apps in the drawer too

Maybe not what you're hoping for but with ADW Launcher you can have your apps divided into categories and you have buttons at the bottom of the app drawer to switch between categories.
Launcher Pro lets you hide certain apps from the app drawer so if you can hide all the stuff you don't use or already have dock/homescreen shortcuts for, you might not feel the need for folders.

Try Power Strip on the market! It's free

...and hasn't been updated for a long time

Mhm..
Folder Organizer looks quite nice, but are there other apps?
Because i hate the folder in the HomeScreen with LauncherPro! The folder icon itself is ulgy and also no animation..
With Folder Organizer i would be able to change this or?
The only problem with Folder Organizer is its permissions..
Your personal information
read Browser's history and bookmarks, write Browser's history and bookmarks, read contact data, write contact data
Services that cost you money
directly call phone numbers
Network communication
full Internet access, view network state, Market license check
System tools
automatically start at boot
Why calling access? Why reaing browser history?
And then you have to pay for it? For spying...

Doesn't the touchwiz launcher have an organizable app drawer?

Smart Shortcuts is the best for me, just create shorcuts with launcherpro to its categories, really good, the best is know, i've search a lot, waiting for MIUI rom, folder is really iphone like !

Ever tried xdesktop? It does all the things you're looking for

Wow, how cool is that?

Use go launcher and drag 1 app onto another. That creates a folder. Very cool launcher!!

I can strongly recommend you Apps Organizer, it's not as overkill as Folder Organizer is and delivers nice custom-iconed folders for your launcher.

Go Launcher.

ADW Launcher?

Is there a specific reason why I can't see ADW Launcher in the Market?

Should be able to, I have it installed from the market.

The search engine for the market is not that great. Try reformatting the way you type ADW launcher, or just search launcher and look through the list. At one time I think it was "ADW.Launcher" but I am not positive.
Its there if you just type adw in the search but there's so many friggen themes for it that its kinda hidden next to the bottom of the list. Great launcher...

Try searching for anderwebs. That should make it easier.

i couldnt find it at first but it is definitely in there its just so hard to find because of the overwhelming amount of themes and stuff lol.
Just scan this image with a bar code scanner

I agree. You'd think it would work well on an OS from a search engine company, but what do I know?
just use appbrain

Fix what? The fact that it is the 50th on the list because of all the themes? I don't think he can fix that.

Fix the way the launcher is set up in the market search. It needs a new tag to differentiate it from themes. Whatever, I was just trying to help you help yourself.

This should work. It's actually named "ADW.Launcher" in market.
I have found it, installed it, but selected the default launcher, and now i cant get back to ADW no matter what i try. I have uninstalled and installed, and when i go to "manage applications", the only option it gives me is to uninstall. All the other options are greyed out. Any suggestions?

The folders i mean is shown there under games utilities etc. Really need to find an app that can help me
I use folder organizer for this, accepts custom icons'n all..
Only cons. Can't lock folders within, you'll need a 2nd for that.
But don't think there's any folder org* which does this (able to lock folders )
Left Bottom:
Games folder, includes 16 games.
From Top Right:
Tools folder: 12apps
Info folder: 4apps
Market Folder Includes diffr. markets..
With no txt labels:
^^it's my current, No ugly folders If you ask me that is, and all apps i folder is not to find in appdrawer.. (LauncherPro ability)
But main answer, there's plenty of free folder org. in market, free-ones as well, mine is the paid Folder organizer as said, but free ver. got almost same functionality
Ok ive dow.loaded Folder Organizer but I dont have a clue what im doing, how do I just create a folder then when I click on it it opens the box with apps in! Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Go launcher makes folder icons that look exactly like the iPhone. All you do is drag and drop one icon into the other.
Sent from my Captivate.
Open folder org. And organize all inside. Long press move to desired folder, make new if you want. To the right you see a dropdown menu, like on left side. Right side lets you add new icon, sort, unistall and so on.
To add to homescreen, add shortcut/folder org folder/choose folder. Done
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Or just make the folder u want, name it what you want, and open the app folder, from there move the desired aps to desired folder, all apps is listed there with folder name, press left dropdown and check another box. Simple as that. This is under labels btw, same goes for above.
Hope it made you sense.

Lock screen wallpaper w/ QuickPic?

Is there any way to change the lock screen wallpaper if Gallery 3D is uninstalled? Titanium Backup Pro won't restore Gallery3D for some reason, and it won't install from the Market, so is there any way to use another app to change it (such as QuickPic?)
Or would it be easier to edit some file manually?

This is the weirdness that I get without Gallery 3D installed. If I click the blank option on the bottom, it let's me pick from only the few stock Samsung wallpapers. If I click the Gallery option on top, Settings freezes and force closes. I have tried reinstalling QuickPic, fix permissions (G3D still won't reload from my Titanium backup), etc.
Any thoughts or ideas on this one? I can live with it, but it's annoying to know some folks are enjoying nice, custom lockscreens and I can't, haha! And I would rather avoid going the Widget Locker route if at all possible...

subfolder and placing icons programs

Hello, recently I've gone from ios to Android, and I was looking for a couple of apps, essential for me, that should work on the page of apps.
I state that I do not know if they exist, given that I've looked everywhere without success.
Ios are the corresponding :
folders in folders

Folders in folders makes it possible to create subfolders, with this app in the apps menu, go to generate, for example a root folder that contains subfolders like multimedia audio, video etc.. . Grid lock the opportunity to place the icons where you want the apps, leaving gaps between one app to another.[/IMG]

Thank you all for your help, for my bad English, is the fault of google.
i asked this question last week about folders within the app drawer. problem was i updated rooted modded my gs2 and as the updates got better and more functions unfortunately the create a folder option disappeared within the app drawer and it doesnt look like it will be implemented in ics either. if it something that important to you i suggest going back to gb 2.3.3. or find a launcher that has the option to create the subfolder i the app drawer i havrnt been able to find a launcher to do it so stuck with adw ex.
hope someone can help you be intresting to read if they can
I'd like to find a launcher that gives the possibility to create subfolders, to date I have not found, and I must say that I have tried several of the launcher.
If by chance know the name of a launcher that can do this, let me look that I run to try it.
you can try Folder Organizer ... you can create subfolders
Go launcher ex let's you create folders in the app list.
Sent from my SCH-R760 using Tapatalk
Thank you all, I tried folder organizer but is not for me, go for the former launcher allows you to make some folders but not subfolders.
Calmly is all (and here it is the calm served a lot because it seems that no one uses or affect the subfolders), the launcher is called tag home launcher, not only gives you the ability to manage apps on the page of a kind of subfolders, but I'll be available in the main form, that, to be placed where they are the widgets (which technically does not know his name).
I hope I can serve others, and if you found other similar apps because if I communicated to me very interested.
Thanks to all

[Nova Launcher] Perfectly replicate Google lollipop launcher

Alright, so since I had an HTC One M8 lying around after upgrading to this bad boy I decided to go ahead and change the RUU on the M8 to the GPE edition and load the new Lollipop 5.0.1 and fell in love with the new launcher. The animations are beautiful along with the design changes, so here it is. I have went through and tested everything on here to make sure it looks and acts just like it does on the GPE edition. Of course you won't have Google Now to the far left (which also got a nice little UI overhaul in lollipop) but, that's what the long press on the home button is for. For best settings you will need the prime, but this will still look pretty dead on without it. Steps are simple:
-Download the file below
-Using root explorer, (or whatever file browser you prefer) place the file in /storage/data/com.teslacoilsw.launcher/backup
-Open Nova
-Long press open spot -> settings -> backup and import -> restore or manage backups -> lollipop replica -> yes
-Enjoy having Lollipop home screen

The Google now launcher does not have the animations, the correct grid sizes in the app drawer, or the same looks as this does. But, if you want a 3x4 grid that looks like the DPI is extremely too high, be my guest.
No need to get ugly. I didn't realize that the GNL didn't meet your needs. It doesn't look near as good on this phone as Nova, but it does have the great google now integration.

Nova is awesome. I just switched from Apex Pro, and I'm so glad I spent the $4 to get Nova. So much smoother and faster animations. I've got the Google now widget on one of my home screens. Not as seamless as the GNL, but it gets the job done.

Not uncommon for people to get upset when reply says what was said wouldn't work or be as good.
