I cant seem to get my Touch pro II to playback anything on coreplayer or Windows Media.... no AVI, MP4, Divx, wmv.... I have both coreplayer and xilisoft video converter and I cant find a setting that will allow my touch pro to play videos.
Anyone ever run into this issue? Im running a bone stock Sprint rom and cant change to another rom.
or does anyone use xilisoft to convert videos? if so what settings work for you?

Do a hard reset that should fix it.

What program is your video playing through?
TCPMP
I think i know what is wrong. I'm not converting the video. Any suggestions for what programs to use to convert the video?

I don't know if this'll help or not...but have you downloaded the FlashVideoBundle? It's a bunch of codecs which basically boost the resolution and quality on your TCPMP player. There's a thread on page 2 or 3 which has the download.
Also, what type of video files are you trying to play?
I have everything installed on the Excalibur. I know now that the problem is the videos i put on the card were not converted. Right now i just need a program to convert my avi to something playable on the dash.
winavi mp4 converter
one is the winavi mp4 converter and in my opinion it is the best.. it will convert it into 3gp, psp, ipod and mp4
pocket divx encoder is great! it will even allow you to stretch the images horizontally & or vertically so if its a very widescreen movie you're watching, you can stretch it to fill the entire screen if you want
Can this phone playback AVI videos? Or just MP4? What software should I use to convert videos from AVI to MP4?
Thanks!
Yes it can, if you want to play a divx avi though, I suggest coreplayer, it works great with my touch pro 2 (although you have have to do some playing with orientation.)
There are lots of settings (easy to use settings) so you can get the most of your screen size.
Hi everyone,
Just to a couple of questions.
When I record a wide screen 800x480 video with the phone it plays back fine on the phone. When I copy it to my PC it won't play the audio. I have tried using VLC player, and Windows Media player. No sound.
The file is a .3gp type file (I chose mp4 encoding). I think a missing codec called samr is required to get sound on the clips on the PC. Anyone know a way around this?
Secondly, I have lots of clips I would like to look at on the phone. I tried uploading a H.264 file (mp4 file) and it won't playback. plays fine on my PC obviously. Tried using a conversion program to resize it to the exact 800x480 in H.264. Still won't play on the phone. what conversion tool do you use and what codec must the file be to play on the desire. H.264 doesn't seem to work?
the tool that works for me is "Convert Any to DVD Professional 4.0.5). It has an option for Nexus one H.264 and you can also crop the conversion etc. Oter conversion programs did not work for me even though I chose H.264. strange.
I use Any Video Converter Pro.
Also used it for my Magic without problems.
Winmenc works nicely with h264 encodes, someone posted a profile on these boards. However there is a lipsync issue.
I cant seem to get handbrake working with h264 which is a pain because that is what I normally use.
I use the Energy rom and discovered TCPMP player but i can't get video's playing smoothly, so wondering if someone here can play video's well on their mobile..
Maybe i convert video's in the wrong format but they do play well on the mediaplayer.

We're still waiting for TCPMP to get hardware acceleration, while Windows Media Player has it, that's why your video works in WMP but stutters in TCPMP... As far as I know there isn't a version of TCPMP that supports hardware acceleration but I may be wrong...
you're not wrong
I've been experiencing some choppy video problems on my myTouch Slide. I know phones are somewhat notorious for this, but the weird thing in my case is that it used to work just fine and now it won't. Same video file (a movie in WMV format), same media player (arcMedia), now it won't work.
So I thought "it's probably a problem with arcMedia." So I tried RockPlayer. Same problem. Then I tried streaming flash video on Dolphin HD (which also used to work provided the video was buffered). Same problem.
So I grabbed an MP4 off of NASA's website and tried it on the native player. I don't get any video, just sound. From what I can tell this video should play just fine: H264 video codec and everything.
I'm new to Android but not new to computers and tech.
Any ideas?
Well what changed? Did you install any new apps that may be running in the background? Did you flash another rom or something since the last time you played this wmv file?
What was the resolution of the MP4 off the NASA site? If it was HD that is probably the reason why you get no video.
