Facebook Login failed

got my sgs today setup everything perfect but Facebook isnt able to log int in the accounts and sync therefor no contact from fb or events in my calendar can anyone advice. Thanks.

Hi there! I had the same problem and the solution i used was to log on using a different network (I know it sounds stupid, but it works). So if you're using you mobile data connection, connect to a wifi connection instead, or if you're already on wifi then connect to another wifi access point. Then try logging in again, it should all work.

ok but what's the logic in it?? i dont get it.

Solution doesnt work on mine with Gingerbread.
With Froyo all was ok.

After updating to gingerbread, facebook stopped to sync. Everything else is working fine (facebook app, launcher pro fb widget). Tryed to flash back to JS8 but still got the same error message: login failed, try again.
Tryed also disable platfom applications from facebook, but this did not work.
would higly appreciate if some on could find a solution for this problem. Right now i am back to gingerbread.

Ive reflashed many times with quite a few ROMs, both 2.2 and 2.3 and no luck. And on top of that Ive messed up my cameras firmware. ..

Maybe it's something to do with Facebook itself; I'm having the same problem and changing network connection has no effect.

Same problem with the latest official 2.3 fireware. Apps like flow work fine.

As for the Facebook issue. .. Coincidence that it happened when 2.3 arrived in Kies?

Edit: full fb sync works. Looks like it wasnt a 2.3 issue.

Sam problem here after updating to 2.3.3 .. On froyo it all worked flawless but now can't get it to work, and it annoys me a lot because I like to see my facebook calendar in my phone's calendar it was really handy..

i moved to 2.3.4 and last few days i am having fb sync issue. today fb sync stopped again. i entered pass many times but each time error. after that settings > accounts and removed fb then add again, somehow it worked. strange...

[Q] synergy account sync question

let me start off by saying this is an awesome rom its clean fast and great looking. The only problem ive run into seems kinda stupid but its a pain that i cant figure it out.
It wont let me sync my facebook account which holds all my work numbers not already syncd via google =(
i have tried both ways thru settings>account and sync>add account
and contacts>activities>add account neither of which do anything
I hit the facebook button but nothing happens, the google sync worked fine.
I am most likely missing something very simple so ill reserve the right to call myself an idiot first thanks in advance

Righto. Try grabbing Facebook from the Market anyway.

after a few reboots it finally gave me the option to log in but not the option to choose which contacts i want to sync..just sync all or no sync i have a lot of deleting to do >.< lol

[Q] setting up hotmail in cm7

hello,
i finally go for cyanogen, i was on french official froyo, but so many lags and force close and reboots, i was fed up...
i wanted to thanks the faq in the development part but not enough post to be allowed to...
anyway, the problem is that I don't know how setting up my hotmail account, always state that it is impossible to connect with the server ?
anyone to help, that would be sad to go back to froyo for that...

ok, so why i dont succed ? i'm not expert at all, i am looking for advice to set this up. with official, it worked properly, just needed to enter log in and passwords, now it is asking for stuff i don't know to fill in.
someone can help ?

POP : pop3.live.com port 995 SSL
SMTP: smtp.live.com port 25 SSL

Im ussing CM/ and not have any problem for hotmail config in e-mail app. Only put mail adress and password and app make the rest.

Did someone try the Exchange-connection for hotmail? I use this with the official froyo but there seems to be a bug in this function. My battery gets empty in about 6-8 hours with acivated exchange-sync because the defy keeps downloading and uploading like hell (about 30 mb per day) for unknown reasons.
I already did a fullwipe but it didn't help.
I was just wondering if a custom rom works better with that...

I'm using it on gingerbread CM7RC0 and i'm not having any kind of issues.
have you configured it to sync ALL emails? this can be a reason for such band usage.

Notifications problem.

Hi, I have an issue with notifications. When somebody typed me a message on Whatsapp or FB messenger I don't receive messages immediately, sometimes it comes in a few minutes or hours or just when I unlockt the phone. I have data and WIFI still ON.This problem is not problem of ROM cause I had it on all of ROMs.What's wrong? Thanks for reply...(sorry for my english)

I don't think so. It's happening also when I'm on WIFI. (option "keep wifi on during sleep" set up to "always")

Aft I update fb from play store now its working perfect try to download new app dude hope u will get sum changes

Push Email Delay Over 3G HELP!!!!

Hello everyone,
First of all I would like to say a BIG thank you to Viper Venom Team for developing an awesome ROM.....thanks guys.
Since I updated my HTC One x running Viper X Rom from 3.3.9 to 3.3.9.1.1 I have been having seriously difficulty receiving email alerts on time, at times takes a whole day before I receive an email notification which is bad! I dont get email notifications until I open Yahoo mail app and refresh before I see all my mails even a day old.
I have gone through most threads here on XDA and applied them but still the problem persist, this has made things difficult for me because I came from iphone 4 which the mails comes in instantly if not in seconds this is essential to me because I receive and replay mails on the move having delays of push mail will be a disaster due to the nature of my job.
Email alerts or sync works perfectly on WIFI but when I switch to 3G its totally useless unless I check my mails manually this was not the case when I was on 3.3.6 to 3.3.8 or 3.3.9 until I updated to 3.3.9.1.1 all this problem started!
Things I have done:
Turned off Power saver, I read somewhere on the forum it could be the problem but still did not work.
I have turned ON Accounts & Sync or turned it OFF but still no luck! While on 3.3.9 it was turned off and I had no issues with push mails.
I have done both soft and hard reboot.
Deleted my yahoo mail account and added it again still no luck
I have flashed STOCK and flashed Viper rom still the problem persist.
I dont know what else todo Here is my problem and I know many of users are still experiencing this problem!
What else can I do to fix this painful bitter experience am having on my HTC one x, am on E.E network. Please any advice will be appreciated!

Yea it was a mistake, by the way I have solved the problem somehow i decided to give Viper Rom one more try and stayed on 3.3.9 seems to be stable for me.
I will try JB Remix when next I have issues with Viper Rom But you talked about base 3.19 when would that be out and what features with that come with? Will that be Sense 5? lol am a newbie to this still learning Please explain thanks.

It's still Sense 4+ but it comes with little fixes here and there, for example the wifi bug is fixed and the camera is better.

ahhh men my push emails is messed up again Whats with HTC one x issue with delaying of mails

Try this app, it works for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andqlimax.pushfixer
One thing more you have to do also:
Log in to Google talk! You can stay invisible there, but it's needed for push notifications to work faster. It sends a heartbeat pulse to the Google servers that send the push notifications.
The app I linked to helps in shortening the periods between heartbeat pulses.
Try it, I get my push notifications instantly now

Thanks alot...although am yet to give the app a try yet. I signed into Google talk and suddenly all my alerts came through immediately facebook,whats app even late ebay alerts messages and other long forgotten messages .:laugh:
From what I can say signed into Gtalk has made my push emails instant if not immediately, I sent messages from my iphone 4 and in less than 5 seconds I get it on my HOX :victory: unlike before it took 15-20mins at worst had to check my mails manually by refreshing my yahoo mail app.
Well I will monitor this has time goes on if later on my mails are delayed while singed into Gtalk I will install PNF app but so far this has totally fixed my frustrating email delays :victory::victory::victory:

My joy was short lived still experiencing this frustrating notification delays, anyone with new suggestions?
