When i tried with integrated IE browser to check Japanese sites (with Shift-JIS or UTF-8 ) it fails easy, because the installed fonts doesn't support Japanese fonts.
I have installed MS Gothic, which have Japanese fonts. The speciale smaller 4MB file is succesfully installed, i can now use Japanese fonts.
But there are some problems:
- Fonts that don't use MS Gothic are still visible as blocks.
- Fontlinking doesn't work (from MS site)
I have tested in IE with my selfmade html page to check UTF-8 encoding with MS Gothic and standard font. Only MS Gothic selected font works.
You can see, there is more work and tweaking needed for good result when i check Japanese sites on non-Japanese WM5.
Oh yes, Opera 8.50 don't work very well.
Your help is welcome!
I have T-Mobile MDA Vario here, but this is general problem for all WM5 mobile telephones.
(I'm anime fan, that's why i check many times Japanese sites)
Many links checked but no much effect:

And some special registry tweaking which doesn't help very well:

There are more information on the site self.

hi!
Hangle No.5 is not Japanese Support,
Thas is Korean Support.
So i Suggest
if you like CAB install, use Lats Japan No.5 from
http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=781630#post781630
or if you llike Flash ROM with Japanese
pls try Japanese Support ROM image on your Device.
This ROM made with O2 Exec english ROM, add wince.nls and japanese Fonts.
Good luck!
Have tested the cabs:
Japanese cab (i use korean/chinese/jap cab) works good.
No need to modify registry. The values are already inserted.
The change to Japanese mode is not needed. That is already done.
This in Output.
The characters in Internet Explorer are now visible in Japanese sites.
But the input is not good. (http://asukal.seesaa.net/article/9216384.html)
The Japanese IME boxes are TOO BIG. They're made for VGA mode, but not for smaller QVGA, for my 320240 screen.
Please fix the problem. It's like 2x zoomed keyboard input.
When i have first installed Bagoj's IME, the floated box is seen here.
But the Japanese IME boxes are not seen.
After softreset, the Japanses IME boxes are now working, but too big (VGA mode) and the floated box (which you can select modes) is now gone.
Something is wrong here.
I have already use keyboard switcher, but it doesn't much make effect?
Oh yes, because the calendar is viewed in Japanese chars, i can change it to English words in settings. Now it's good.
The only point are the char '/' which you use for directories. It's now like Yen character.

Hi all, I've been digging in xda-developers for some time for a software to input Chinese characters, let it be in SMS, or even composing emails in WWE rom.
So far I learned that Droid can only read but cannot write.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469199 this link here is either dead or no people know the answer.
I even tried the msjh.cab but I don't know how to input in sms.
So I brought this here, maybe anyone can show me something?
do you want to input Chinese by pinyin or strike? also, do you want to input simplified or complicated Chinese? I have a few software like A4, PlumSIP6_1008 for you which are for Chinese simplied.
finally there's reply
I need pinyin simplified input. But so far I haven't see anything that can input Chinese Characters in eg SMS.

is it? I tried HelloNasty's rom before. But XannyTech still the best (personal opinion). Anyway, is there any other ways?
Chinese Input
You should try - CE-Star Standard for WM5/WM6
http://www.mobem.com/products/Personal.php
Various versions available, which include Pinyin, Stroke, Handwriting recognition (which I bought, but don't use).
Has worked perfectly on WM6.1 and WM6.5 Xannytech ROM.
Switching between WM6.5 keyboard and the CE-Star keyboard is a little slow, but works well. Also toggle between CE-Star English mode and pinyin mode sometimes a little irritating. Suggest that once Pinyin Mode is working then switch to WM keyboard for English and not use CE-Star for English.
Chinese Input PS
PS When you install CE-Star it will change your language settings to Chinese, so things like GoogleMaps will start to display all menus in Chinese, Just set Language to English in Regional settings, and everything is back to normal.
Does anyone know how to enable the spell-check and suggested words for non-English languages on 4.1.1?
In addition to English which works great, I have e.g. Swedish as an input language. Selecting this doesn't spell-check or use in-line completion. Other languages are the same.
Any ideas?
I've bought myself a sony smartwatch 3 and it's been great. But I can't seem to find a decent android wear keyboard app with support for dutch language (preferably T9 keyboard). I'm using TouchOne keyboard now, but doesn't support dutch language.
Any ideas?
