SoundArk Prototype

Hey guys,
This is a little prototype I am working on called soundark.
The whole concept behind it is based off of a amphitheater how its shape allows the sound to bounce off and be directed to the audience.
the soundark has ho need for batteries or power source it takes the audio emitted from your phone and directs it towards you. I hope to make them more solid but for now its just a prototype but eventually I plan on making them for other phones but for now the first one is made for a vibrant and other galaxy s models
SoundArk Keeps your audio from being washed out!
If you like the project and would like to see further progression please rate
I will soon post a video showing you the prototype SoundArk in action so stay tuned!!!
Pretty cool. I like the design. I know this would work well, because I find myself cupping my hand over the speaker to direct the sound in front of it. I can imagine something designed specifically for that purpose would have a lot better sound, and it looks great too.
Very nice. I am interested on testing one out when you are ready for production!
im hoping to put them in production i hope to build many more for more phones not only the galaxy S vibrant im hoping to get it done very soon this was the second build that is much more effective then the first version
i will be building more models and experimenting with different types possibly including a speaker version if interested in my project pm me
I like the idea, however the way you have the multiple ways to place the phone in (horizonally and vertically) is kind of redundant. An idea would be,to place the spot directly in the middle and have the middle pane rotatable. Just my 2 cents great idea though
Edit:,oh ya and a spot for the usb cord possibly?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
cool, I aam interested in getting one
i dont want to burst any bubbles, but have you seen this?

@bdroc
Have you tried the clingo sound sphere?
looks like it is universal, hopefully it'll be able to hold a 4.3 screen phone
At $35, wouldn't it make more sense to buy a set of portable, rechargeable speakers to plug into the headphone jack? I've bought a couple of such things for my employees for $20, which sound great, even in a loud warehouse.
@toma, no i havent...i dont plan on it, but it most likely holds a phone that large judging by the pictures
@jriot...the plus, im assuming, with this is that its also a stand and it has no wires. but i agree 35 is a bit steep for a plastic dome.
if it folded into a small package that would be cool

Anyone planning to get the Sound Station dock?

This one seems to have flown under the radar a little in the Accessories forum with most interest focussed on cases and cables, but I'm really interested in getting this.

It does seem a bit pricey, but I like the idea of having an accessory that doesn't require another damn cable/adapter. At this stage a lot of unanswered questions, particularly how good the speakers are and how much a hit on the battery life it'll make, but I'm definitely getting this if the reviews are good.
Anyone else planning on getting this? Has anyone seen any reviews/videos of this yet? I've googled it a few times but haven't seen any hands-on experience of it.
hmm...under the description it says that the power is generated from the battery, which means the sound dock does not charge the SGS2 while plugged in and playing music.
What a bummer.
This Sound dock doesn't have a speaker! It just reinforced the sound.

Are you sure? In the Clove description it says:
'This dock is compact and has a sleek design along with an in built Seine acoustic amplifier and built in spakers.'
Just look at the picture
There is no usb input, just a little hole where the S2 Speaker is.
There was a video, but i can't find it
There is a very similar universal sound dock which a mate uses with his iphone.
Basically it ust amplifies the sound. Its a piece of engineered plastic which uses no power.
If this is the same then i wouldnt bother.
Cheap pair of PC speakers would be way better IMO
Yep, this is just like the Griffin AirCurve for iPod/iPhone

[Q] Camera quality?

hey really stupid question, but i noticed my friend's infuse camera takes super awesome gorgeous photos day and night, with almost no noise and comes out SUPER crisp. and i was wondering, is it possible to replace the actual rear camera of the SII with an infuse camera? would that in anyway improve the picture quality? or is the problem with how the SII takes ****ty ass night pictures a software thing? could someone shed some light on this please? i mean if it's simply as easy as using a different camera app, which would you recommend? i'm on ics, and i tried installing to use the miui apk, but its not working, so i guess that one's outta the equation. i know there's a lot of experienced people prowling these threads, so please shed some light and don't flame me. thank you guys and girls!

A/B Partitions -- And How Good Is The Projector?

About to buy the Z2 and have been researching here. I find that the phone has A/B partitions, and in the "Massive Links" thread there's a link to a dual-boot patch... unfortunately that link is broken.
I am suspicioning that Oreo would break dual-boot anyway, but I sure liked multiboot on my old Razr. Any prospect for this?
Also I find that no one here criticizes the projector mod. Is it actually useable? I mean is it bright enough for a decent image and are colors decent? Any idea what kind of light engine it has? How far away can you project with a decent image?
The projector is decent enough in a dark room. I've used it a few nights to watch movies on the roof with my kids, they love it. I had it going from a foot above the floor to my 10ft ceiling. Colors were good, it was not 'crisp' but it was also being projected onto my roof that is textures not a smooth surface.
No one knows how the A/B partitions work?

So I finally got my free projector and it is great. Tried watching without the screen wasn't impressed but after the screen arrived I was happy (Wish app was my friend here $16 72" screen. Projector has it's own battery lasts for a 2 hour plus movie easily. I would not expect it to be watchable in a sunny area but I pull the shades hang up the projector screen and get a very nice watchable 72 inch picture.

Few Qs: stylus, PPI, case, camera etc

I never realised pen tech has finally matured. Wow!! At least with the Note 9 and iPad pro and surface book 2 I tried, it's like writing on paper! So I'm changing my whole workflow and am seriously considering this phone.
So a few Qs please:
1) is the stylus as lag free and responsive as the Note 9? I.e. decent lag?
2) is there a mini more portable version of the stylus just as good? (Like the s-pen in the Samsung?)
3) is the screen's relatively low PPI (346 compared to my Mate 10's 400+) going to be an issue for reading Kindle books kind of closeup (6"). I know it's not technically "retina" at this distance.
4) is the camera actually that good? I've read it's brilliant but the aperture is larger than the f1.5 on the Note 9 so so don't see how it can be that good unless in lots of light. It can't be better than my mate 10 as that also has a larger aperture but perhaps it is because it uses three cams so can let in more light I don't know.
5) Most importantly despite searching hard I can't find a case that can house a stylus. Has anyone come up with a workaround? This is Note taking size yet they've failed to think about any means of housing a stylus... I was thinking perhaps stitch a loop into a case.
6) what is the latest update on the best version to buy?
Thanks to anyone who can help with any of these.
