Is it possible to video chat with an app for the G2? Thoughts?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
Cant you just use the Yahoo Messenger app? I just bought my G2 yesterday so I have not tried it, But I used the Yahoo app to video chat on my HD2 running Android 2.2. I hope this helps.
It should be possible also with Fring or Qil but without a front cam, you'll have to be in front of a mirror or something.
I though Google was developing a portable mirror to go with our G2.

there will probably be mirror accessories one day.
Its possible with Tango I use it all the time. It has somewhat good quality.

When I tether my phone to my computer it works great. I get kicked off when I go to utube while watching HD videos. Well it doesn't kick me off it starts to buffer. can I get a kernal that would allow me to watch HD on utube?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
It's not really the kernel you are having trouble with as much as the 3g speeds..... 3g is bad for streaming videos it works when it wants to lol.... there is a lot more data to process when using hd and 3g just can't keep up

So 4g would be alot better then. thank you for your reply

Well i said skype because the op wanted me to choose between 3 apps in which fring was not one of them

Skype? Skype is trash. If you download from market it freezes and you have to re install, so you need the 2.0 apk, it loses connection way too easily, and call quality is ****. I say **** skype... but that's my personal expierience

Hmm will have to look into fring
Just tried tango, call quality is worse than skype but connection is more reliable

Google Plus video chat works fine on my unrooted devices
Yeah Google plus video chat works fine but gtalk is more widely used than the Google plus, I think.

Skype.
What kind of connection are you using?
Is it a quality issue on your end, theirs, or both?
I see Google+ mentioned a lot; how does one initiate video chat from the phone?
