I'm posting my hardware and software versions below, do any of yours match? I can't seem to find this info online and I can't seem to get the software to update OTA. Just curious...
Hardware version: i400.0.6
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: S:i400.0.6V.DH25
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build number SCH-I400.DH25
Looks right... What update are you expecting?

same except...
Baseband: S:i400.0.6v.DJ20
Build: SCH-I400.DJ20
I see that they have released the source code...any idea what to do with it to develop custom ROMS? I rooted and deleted some things that have causes hit or miss on out goining text messages.
I got a seed device pre-launch and I suspected the software would be a little behind what's available now, I just can't update it automatically. I think I'll need to wait until the first custom ROM shows up.

texting issue
My texting issue turned out to be a +1 at the beginning of the phone number. I'm still up for developing, but I don't know what to do with the source code.
I have the same problem with text messaging.

Also if you have any problems with your radios, there is a thread in android development with all the new/old radios.

Try LoStKernel (Standard if you don't want UC/UV or EXP if you want UC/UV) or the stock pulled w/ CWM that fish mentioned.

##72786# enter your msl . Then hit ok to reset . Your phone Will reboot. Then update prl then your profile your phone will reboot. Then go to recovery clean cache partion and surf till your phone melts lol ... This is what I did. Fixed my LOS has been since last Friday .. I was told by sprint level 2 support to do this. Only because of the nationwide on going network upgrading . and it did work. I'm happy as vs be. So then I reflashed the complete stock ROM then flashed v3 zdoo .. To get root then flashed the pulled stock kernel then repeated all the steps above and now my phone fly`s and no more LOS ...
And no damn yellow warning on bootup . I'm loving this phone!!!!

This worked flawlessly for me on both Starburst and Calkulin's. No loss of service in a week or more.
i'm having the same problem. I want to install the starbust ROM. anyone knows if that will solve the no service problem or i need to fix that first before flashing the starbust ROM?

LoS is an issue with the phone (most likely modem drivers) there is nothing you can do currently to completely fix your LoS problem. People report the best results with a stock kernel (Stock+CMW by Chris41g) or LoStKernel.

I don't think you want your baseband version to change. Your baseband in a way is what allows connections to regional mobile operators to get proper signals. If you flash a different baseband, you may not always receive mobile service - the service operator will see that your phone is on a different baseband and may not allow you to connect. I haven't done it myself, but sometimes there may be a baseband update for a specific baseband version.
use Odin to Flash another baseband

Hi, I have a generic tablet that I have been trying to flash but can seem to find how.
Here is the tablet info :
Model number: mid
Android version: 4.0.3
Kernel version: 3.0.8 [email protected] #2
Build number: 20120529-LY-F1.0.6.5
The device has root. Confirmed using root checker .
Does anyone know how to flash a custom rom onto this? So long as its quick and has google market I dont mind which. Cyanogen mod preferred but suggestions very welcome.
Thank you.

This one exsists but ONLY usable on device with Android 8.1.0 out of box
I took the update 4.3 and took a way to get the 4.3 stock rom, and used Kingo to root my phone.
Curious if there is a way to add custom roms again.

Wrong forum
And no. This is why you never take OTA updates if you are rooted.
definitely wrong thread but I do believe you can install safestrap recovery and then use that for installing/running custom roms but you're gonna have to go to the right forums for verizon to search and find out...I only know cause I did my friends brand new s4 from Verizon and it's on 4.3 and I rooted it, installed safestrap ONLY to create a backup rom just in case anything went wrong when we cleaned out his bloatware, and on the s4 it can run roms by using safestrap but it's not my phone to mess with so I left it as is for him...rooted, debloated, backed up and running smooth
Sorry guys not sure what forum I should be in then??
