helpp i try to load haret and i get a white flashing screen ... anyone have a fix?

Flashing White Screen
This is happening because you have the incorrect panel type in your default.txt... not sure which provider you have, but mine is Sprint and my panel type needs to be set to 3. It's gonna be 1, 2, or 3. Good Luck

ok i got it to LOAD but now im in the hero and htc loop
right now im trying the hero ui not using android at the moment
ok i got it to load... and i got android [the one g1 has] soo is there any way to change the resolution so that it fits?? because andoid doesnt seem to fit

im using the super hero build and it is flawless with the vogue. no more crashes for me and all is working. i cant believe we have hero on our vogues already

I do as well but for me the moment i boot into harat I get a minor blur the the whole thing i could never figure that out.

i dont see a super hero anything.. jus hero... can you send me a link to the one your using? like can u upload it somewhere?

what i did was download android 1.5, then downloaded super hero build and replaced files in android. then replaced again with the jackshero ski1.6. this method should give you all the files you need and also be the most stable. for me anyway. you will want to extract the resources.zip. it will make a media directory on the root of storage. then put everything else on the root of storage outside of media folder. then simply run heret.exe.

Edit your default.txt
If you want a different LCD density, add an option lcd.density=xxx after the ppp options. 160 is default, 128 was the old "hiRes". Google Maps only works at 160.
If you don't want it to connect to data, add an option ppp.nostart=1.
I dont know if everyone has this issue or only myself....
My screen seems blurry, especially on linux boot, I attempted the lcd density adjusment as per above but can not seem to get it as clear as it used to be when massey started the project.
anyone have idea's? Am I possibly making a mistake? is everyone running into the same results?

all the sudden i keep going back to the htc logo screen and reloading everything all the time

you have to have the latest pointui installed. then enable it in today settings and then after it boots up disable it. then install the point sense suite cab. re enbable pointui in today settings. then switch themes in the pointui settings to point sense.

ive been testing this new Xrom build for a few hours and it has hero theme with clock/weather widgets and runs very smoth and fast. i recommend trying it.
all you should need is the latest mission package zip (includes android 1.5)

thanks im trying it out now.u dnt have to edit the default.txt. right?
edit: i tried it 1st i had to edit the default.txt. [already had one from a previous android and it worked fine]
but now its saying unable to mount data or something like that...

HTC One XT (S720t / T-SCDMA) - RUU, Custom ROM, Radio Stack

I have rooted my HTC One XT (S720t) to be at least allowed to do something with my device. China Mobile delivers the device totally locked up and hardly allows any useful software. Successfully installed Google market app but the ROM seems to have a feature to make sure it cannot be used (always crashed right after opening, others have also reported the same).
Unfortunately my company is bound to China Mobile so I was unable to buy a standard S720e if I want to enjoy 3G.
Rooting and and installing custom ROM was quite smooth and easy but it seems that the flashing the Android Revolution HD ROM has messed up my radio stack/baseband (at least within Android; bootloader still states the old correct radio stack).
I never had problems with the radio stack so I am quite new to this topic and have the following questions:
1. Do I have a problem or not?
2. I made a backup before flashing, will this also bring the radio stack back to normal? If yes, could I extract it from the backup and flash it manually via fastboot (device is rooted but S-ON)?
3. If 1 is not possible, can I flash the backup and then somehow dump the radio stack image?
4. Does anyone know where to get the shipped ROM for this device? S720t seems to be a very rare device and I cannot find anything. Have asked HTC but not sure if they will provide it to me to fix my device.
5. Does anyone know how to get this rubbbish China Mobile parallel market out of this phone and run the standard market (that would be already enough for me - I need Skype for my work). Full control for sure is always nicer.

no one is gonna be developing for the xt here. even though we have the same chipset. You should go to xda.cn, and join one of their QQ 群，to ask for more info on any ports of roms for the XT. good luck bro

Thanks Kluvj, was unaware of that website. As this website probably has more users I also might find some answers here by understanding the background better - that is easier than in Chinese. But I will definitely check it out...

Thanks, could you let me know why it will not work? Are the devices physically so different?
Have installed the ROM and everything looks fine besides the radio stack under Android stated as unknown. Bootloader states still the China Mobile radio stack (any idea how to backup this one so that I can flash back in case it is messed up?).
<Update>: Everything on the device works normally (also Wifi) BUT mobile is completely dead. After using recovery the old system is back but baseband still unknown and mobile network dead. So got myself a tablet for couch surfing now...

Finally managed to find the stock ROM, use the way described in the forum to get back to stock ROM and now everything is working again. Thanks, guys.
Main problem is, that the stock ROM phone is completely useless without apps. None of the apps that I have on my other phone are featured in the Chinese parallel market. No airline apps, no newsreaders, nothing. Just useless cute games and some standard apps and even the market application is in Chinese only.
A mighty phone - and nothing to do with it except listening to music, playing games and chatting. I am wondering how HTC can allow totally crippled phones like the S720t to be marketed. Crippled and no option to break out of the jail. Phone will go back to the shop tomorrow, even my Incredible S beats the S720t easily. This phone is a living brick.

I have downloaded a ROM from some Chinese filehosting websites (had to register first) and then got the file. Did a google check and cannot find my orginal DL-link anymore. Try to look for variations of ROM_ENDEAVOR_TD_ICS_40_HTCCN_CHS_CMCC_1.zip Can also upload the file somewhere; PM me how and then the phone can be brought back to original status again (check the stickies).
So far found no way to flash custom ROM (did not check for some weeks now). Easy solution to have access to software at least is to unlock the device and install the google app set manually, that will bring up the google market and that already made me happy.

I initially tried to flash ARHD but it would not boot (bad boot.img i think), the ROM above works fine for now.
It is rooted and has Google Play.
If you flashed a wrong boot.img, that rom as the correct boot.img in the zip so you can extract and flash it.
Only downside is that it is slightly older (android 4.0.4, sense 4.0).
I will look for updates later as i just got the phone yesterday i haven't had time to properly look around.

Oh, thanks. That is actually the first custom ROM that I have seen.
Can you confirm that the radio stack is working/compatible?
I have Google Play installed now, just need to download the package and unzip it locally - but I would like to get rid off all this China Mobile rubbish and especially of their own app shop because it interferes with Google Play.
Might try that version later by myself (btw my original phone only came with Android 4.04. and Sense 4.0).

Yes all works fine and all the chinese crap is not there. only a Chinese webbrowser, but you can remove it and install what you want.
just before I installed the Rom I had the OTA which updates sense and the os, ARHD also has the updated software, but hopefully the guy will update the Rom soon .

i didn't know this was released in china

Yes but he mentioned there was a problem with the radio stack/baseband therefore couldn't use his mobile.
From what I understand, the hardware for HTC One X and HTC One XT are pretty much the same. The only difference is the custom OS from each carrier.
So my question is, can I install any 1 of the custom ROMs from here for the One X on the One XT?
Any help would be great.

I think the HTC One XT uses another kind of mobile technology like SCDMA. Therefore, most ROMs here would work, but mobile wouldn't.

From what I understand, SCDMA is the Chinese variant of CDMA, and only works on China Mobile. You would have no luck trying to find a ROM here that supports SCDMA so try going on xda.cn

Currently in the process of download the ROM from the above link, which seems catered to the HTC XT model. I'll report back later.

Teclast P85(A8R1) or Explay Informer 801 Rom V4.1.1

Yesterday I downloaded Jelly Bean for the P85 (A8R1) this is a Teclast Rom V4.1.1.The link for this rom was found on an Asian site.I had a lot of trouble downloading from the link ..
I installed the rom on my Tablet had to change the language to english (no biggie) Australian English
The rom has to be install with LiveSuit.
I have rooted the rom with SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse Modded this would not root ICS but works great with JB
Also included with the download is a patch to install ApexLuncher & DSPManager more too..I have not used the patch myself like it the way it is...
And every thing works Very Well.The file is over 400mb The file has everything you need to install the Rom inside..

Try to factory reset, if that doesn't work, download the original firmware (ics or gb) and flash that, see if it fixes the problem. Also, there is an 'unroot' option in the rooting app, if you think rooting your device caused the problem, you can try that.

minhduycr1 I have just check my rooted tablet and you are right about not being able to see the tablet in Windows Explorer.Sorry I had not checked this as I do not use the Tablet much at all..The way to fix this is run unroot then reboot the tablet and all will be good again. My tablet was running Great before I unrooted it just could not see the the tablet in explorer.
Will have a look for a better rooting program that does not cause this to happen...

Just uninstall the old root file and install this one P85 (A8R1)

Everything works fine now...

Small issue with the brightness, when you get to the lower levels it doesn't adjust correctly, it jumps from very dark to bright not proportionate to how much you adjust the brightness. This is problematic for me because I need fine control over low brightness levels because I do a lot of reading. So I think I'll have to switch back to ics or gb. Other than that it works well though.

Thank you very much for sharing this and providing a download! Without you I would never had found this ROM and still stick with ICS. It runs VERY smooth on my Single Core P85.

I had to unroot first and then reroot with the updated SuperOneClick. That's got me up and running again. Nice n'nippy too.

I have a problem with this ROM. I have read-only access to both extsd and usbhost. I tried everything to fix this but I didn't find a solution. E. g. Titanium Backup or Battery Monitor Widget can't write on external sd card. Anyone else having these issues or maybe a solution?

Frank I don,t any trouble with the SD card reading or writing to it...

All I have done is installed the patch file just for a few goodies..
And used ZhuoDaShi-2.2.15 to remove all the installed Asia Apps after I installed the rom..
Sorry I can't help you anymore than this...

I tried SuperOneClick (at first the wrong one, then after reinstalling the ROM the correct one). I also tried with ZhuoDaShi - always the same. I tried both with the patch and without. Do you use Titanium Backup, ES File Explorer or Solid Explorer? In settings "memory" everything is listed as internal memory. On ICS this was different - external sd and usbhost were shown as external.
Furthermore there is a problem with CWM. It works with every ROM I've ever tested except for this JB ROM. "data" can't be mounted so CWM is useless. And I bricked the tablet when I tried to reboot from CWM. It's repaired now but the problem with sd card now let me revert to CM9 where everything works fine again.
Maybe I get CM 10 work using the files/drivers of the original JB ROM.
Maybe you've got any more ideas?

I had a go at this yesterday and found the same as you Frank.Installed two versions on CWM both ended with a black screen on reboot.And had to reinstall the rom both times.I cannot believe that you can install CWM boot to the screen and after rebooting It dies sad.Also the EXTSD whats the go their you can play music videos and the like with player from the OS copy paste to the EXTSD but it is not showing up on the storage screen and the OS won't use it weird.I find this a damn shame as I like this version it is best one to me anyway..

Root access
First of all, thank you for the JB rom, works like a charm on my P85 single core. I just have one problem, can't seem to get root access using Superoneclick. Put my tpad in usb debugging mode, made sure the drivers are installed, and press root button. But when it's finished I check for root access using several apps from market, and they say I don't have root access. Tried a couple of root uninstallers also, and no one can remove the chinese apps. Anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong?

No mate I have not tried any of the CM10 or the AOKP..But to install them make sure you use 4.0.4-v1.0 or 4.0.3-v1.04 something you can install CWM on first...

The only thing I can think of is have you used the right root file here is a link to the right one...I had no trouble rooting 4.11 with this file..

The only root uninstaller you need is the one you used to install root in the first place..
To remove the Asian program's Apps you don't want is ZhuoDaShi-2.2.17-setup.exe .But remember this program is all Asian (no English)

Install the program run it and wait for the Tablet to be found then click on the Briefcase with the cross on it will show you all the programs on the tablet just tick on the ones you don't want then click on the circle with the cross in the middle to remove the apps...

Maybe there us a way with a different (modded) CWM version. I don't know. I'm on CM10 from the above linked vietnamesian site. Atm it works quite well. Still testing it. It is based on JB 4.1.2 and a working CWM is included. You need a working CWM before flashing, though. E.g. Original ICS ROM.

[App] Custom Google Now Header Image | GoogleNowPic_2.2 | 2013-11-24

Hi there,
My app GoogleNow Pic allows to replace the default Google Now portrait header images by a custom one.
Please note:
It only works on rooted devices!
You can use this only when having Google Now installed.
It's mandatory to start Google Now before using this app, since GoogleNowPic need the default,
downloaded images of Google Now to be able to replace the correct ones!
There are four different portrait header images for dawn, daylight, dusk, twilight which only can be downloaded,
when activating/using Google Now at these particular day times. So you have to use GoogleNowPic in worst case 4 times
until you have replaced all of this images.
There are two installation options available via app menu:
(Install sample image)
... is a demo mode which merely shows a (app included) sample image - in order to prove it works...
(Install custom image)
... allows to use your own image which must be a png file and 720 px in width and 307 px in height.
Provide your image there:
/sdcard/cgn/image.png
... start the app and use the menu option to integrate your custom header image into Google Now.

Hi guys,
I am sorry i didn't posted the "how to" last night, because i noticed Google Now replaced my custom header image when periodically refreshing.
So after some testing i probably found a way to fool Google Now so it does not replace/update your custom images.
Since injecting your custom image is pretty complicated, i decided to provide an app which will do the job.
I probably will finish and provide it tomorrow night.

Lol, that being said do you think this would work on the HTC Evo 4g lte? I downloaded the beta and the sample works but I can't find that same file to replace the actual Google now image , if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi blu_ninja,
I checked HTC Evo filesystem structure and I noticed sd card paths are differing a bit from the ones in HTC One X.
I am going to optimize sd card recognition of GoogleNewPic when i am back home and will provide an update in the evening.

currently I am on Android 4.2.2 and Google Search app v 4.1.21.1657903.arm.
I didn't use GoogleNowPic for or longer period, so I didn't notice that it doesn't work even on my device.
By having a quick look on the current version of Google Search.apk I noticed that they changed the method of providing/saving the header images.
The only chance to bring it "back to life" on different devices, is making it a Xposed Framework App.
I will check this next week - so please be patient and keep an eye on this thead.

I can handle an xposed module, i use xposed, but you don't think that very similar android and google app versions will respond to the app without needing xposed?

Hey, since the official BBM for android is out, and not compatible for our devices, is there any other way round to get it working? Installing an independent APK did not work for me.

Yes, Our device falls under Desire C category on the Play Store's Dev Console (Mostly). Even the Desire C doesn't support BBM. Anyways, I'm gonna get a new phone in a month but having BBM for the WFS would be great

I managed to update my WFS to android 4.2.2, but I am unable to download it from playstore, if any body knows how to install it on our devices can you please share with us??????????

Ofcourse, cause you just midified the Operating System 4.2.2 but not architecture of your CPU (armv6)
BBM min requarment is armv7 achitecture of CPU
