[Q] Desire only recognize limited memory

Ok so this is my problem:
I have a 16 Gig MicroSD class 6 card.
I've partitioned it with ROM manager and then manualy changed the partitions sizes, I've increased the ext3 and the swap partitions sizes with gparted.
Later on I've inserted the card back to my Device and Flashed a fresh copy of the ROM.
The device still can only see 147 Mb or free space whereas I've partitioned it to be about 1 Gig of size.
Any one knows any way to make more space on the card then ~150Mb?
Do a search on data2ext and data2sd.
Good luck.

I take it your using a normal app2sd rom, not the newer data2sd or data2ext.
where are you looking to find your stats? if its in settings/sd & phone storage these wont show the amount of the app2sd partition, but they will show the amount of a data2sd or data2ext partition, because the latter two fools the phone in to thinking its internal storage, the former just moves parts of an app to the ext partition on the sd card so isnt classed as internal storage.
If you download an app from the market called quick system info it will show you the size of your app2sd partition to see if its worked

[Q]Using Azrael 4.0rom with a2sd. Market is showing insufficent storage. Help Please

I have an issue with installing apps. When i go on the market and try to install an app, it tells me insufficient memory. Even Titanium wont install apps but i can see the available space there.
Here's what i can see
System Rom: 367MB (108 MB Free)
Internal: 446MB (271 MB Free)
SD Card: 7.40GB (3.32 GB Free)
SD Card (a2sd): 493MB (25.0 MB free)
It seems like all the apps are in the a2sd partition. Which isnt bad, but its not letting me install anymore apps into it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

[Q] How do I move apps to the external MicroSD card?

I'm a bit confused here. I'm running Juggernaut 4.1.
Titanium Backup shows:
System ROM 615 MB
Internal:2.11 GB
SD card: 12.0 GB
Ext. SD card 32.0 GB
How do I move apps to the Ext. SD card.
If I use 'Move to SD card' it moves the app to the 'internal SD card' (12 GB )
not the Ext. SD card (32 GB card)
Is there a way for me to run apps from the ext micro sd card?
Yes there is, you need to use Link2SD. You will have to use a computer to partition your external microSD card and then Link2SD can create a mount script for you.
www (dot) madteam (dot) co/2011/09/30/link2sd-guide-and-usage-tutorial/
(cant posts links yet :/ so decipher that for a good guide)
Word of caution, people have said that using Link2SD, everytime you wipe then flash a new rom, after you use Link2SD to create the mount script again, your apps will still be there and pop back up after a reboot, thus no need to backup apps like normal. This NEVER worked for me, I always use Titanium to backup ALL of my apps, flash a new rom, use Link2SD to format the partition for apps, reinstall them with titanium, then re-link them.
Good luck Its a great program.

[Q] CM9 - Storage is mixed up

I tried searching the cm9 thread but i couldnt find anyone with my exact problem.
When I check the storage space available in the settings, the total space / available space does not add up.
Here is what I see:
Internal storage
total space: 1.97 GB
Apps: 542 MB
Available: 1.37 GB (fine)
Internal storage
total space: 11.50 GB
APPS: 1.21 GB
Pictures, Videos: 332MB
Audio: 1.52 GB
Downloads: 97.62 GB
Available: 31.88 MB
According to my calculations there is ~8.40612 GB missing here.
SD Card
total space: 29.71 GB
available: 20.64 GB
Is it calculating the space used on my SD Card against Internal storage and then not even breaking down the space used under the SD Card?
I am so baffled right now...
Hi
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 running CM9. I just recently filled up my storage of 5,77 GB. I googled the missing storage space problem and found this post. Now I found out where the missing space is. It seems like the system settings within Android do not account for the space used by ClockworkMod. Therefore, in my case, my backups of the device were using all these extra gigabytes.
