help ... xda exec won't start after rom flashing

somebody please help ... just flashed my xda exec with the latest rom and now it won't start... When trying to hard reset it and just after pressing "0" in the white screen it won't boot... I plug in the mains charger and the orange light won't show either (so I can't know if it's charging). I'm not quite sure but I suspect that the main battery's red plastic lock-switch was in the "unlock" position during the flashing (but the battery was 100% full just before). Is that relevant ? Could this have drained the backup battery and that's the reason that it won't boot now ?? please help...

hello there..i've also got the same problem....i've download he rom update software from 02 uk...after install in my exec...and hard reset..it hang in the boot screenn...
please help..all the pda genius....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm worried!!!!!!!!!!

i've also got the same problem...i've update the rom after dwnloas the rom software update from o2 uk....after suceesfull install to my exec...i've hard reset as per instruction.....but..it just hang in the boot screen mode...
please helppppp all the pda guru's and master!!!!!!!!!!1 i'm worried!!!!!!!!!

... what's the "bootloader mode" ??... (it's not documented in the user guide, is that a sequence after pressing 2-3 buttons together or something like that ?)

Put the Universal in bootloader mode by pressing Power + Light + Reset, which brings up an un-backlit screen with "Serial" at the top, and "v0.XX" at the bottom. (A lot of people get an error message if they are not in bootloader mode. They can install the ROM a second time. If you are in bootloader mode, you won't get an error message.)

dear kumar..i've tried for a few times...eventually i've tried to reinstall using the old rom..but its still hang....
i've contact o2 custpmer support ..they asked me to send it to the service centre...then i ask how to send and the charge would be (eventully i'm in malaysia right now) but they ask me to call the service and warranty centre personnally..
i've called them but the line was so bad and can't hear them clearly. Even so i've given my email address for them to email me their correct address for me to sent it..and their email address for me to communicate..but until now..no news....
please help me sir!!!

U shld better get it replaced .

What ROM did you guys flash? My suspicion is rising that one of the new AKU3.2 ROMS is the culprate, and that there is something wrong with one of them.

still stuck at serial and 1.00
hi.. i had installed WM6 on my o2 exec, i dont know why but had some signal issues with it, so i tried to roll back to 1.30 from the official O2 site... 1st time i tried to update, the PDA got reset just at the begining of the checking process... i tried again 2nd time this timed it just died.. now hard reset as well as the bootloader both just get stuck at the same damn screen "Seria" on top and "1.00" at the bottom.. i've kept the piece on charging for several hours now... no matter what i do, nothing happens.. just the same screne for hrs and hrs and hrs.. i removed the battrey and put it back... stil the same screen... someone pls advice... its just breaking my heart..

trouble with rom update
Like Acer, my device has a trouble with the rom too. In this case, I'm trying in bootloader mode but the rom doesn't instal. The first screen shows only the rom which is going to upgrade and when instalation finishes nothing was upgraded. Can you help me?

I flashed my Uni with ROM Pdaviet 2.10.10 clean version.
Now, my Uni cannot boot at all
I have tried to enter to bootloader ..... but it still does not work at all
Please, all master of ROMs, help me ......

i too had the same problem, after installing the rom update from o2 site...
i had to send my set to servicing then only i got it right..

I do not know how, but now my Uni work again
and now, I install Pdaviet 2.10.10
It's working now .....

I had the same problem, i had to send it to the O2 repair canter, they fixed it, but was returned with out the up grade, now im afraid to re-try.

Got the same problem here after using PDAVIET...
No upgrade working

This happens with the uni sometimes regardless of rom. Remove the battery wait 5 minutes enter bootloader and reflash. If it doesnt work reflash again just the CE os rom. It will kick out in one of those. It usually helps to flash to operator stock rom first then back to wm6 or cooked WM5. (You have not hurt the device, the uni is a picky girl but always comes back

Imate Kjam Will not boot

Hi all i am new to all this i tried to load a newer rom on my Imate it had an error and froze did a reset and now it only comes to the 3 colour boot screen i have tried a hard reset but no luck and have downloaded the offical rom again i can get into the bootloader screen by pressing camera button and on and connect with the usb the thing is how do I load the rom the Program"RUU program" says u must have a active sync connection and it will not work in the bootloader it says usb in the left conner but active sync will not work is there any other program that doesnt use active sync to load the rom to my phone i have been reading the forum and seen similar problems all with the reply load wizardlove cant find the it all the links are broken or doesnt excest I need to get my phone running asap and if i send it in it will only be returned inn 6weeks they say I am from south africa and the guys here can be a lot of help coz the know nothing so if anybody can help me please it would be great thanks

Which is your device a G3 or G4 ? post the IPL/SPL...? of the phone to determine the version. As far as it gets to bootloaders (tricolor screen) you are safe,its just a bad flash,nothing to worry,you'll soon have it working fine.
Which rom were you trying to upgrade to ? and what exactly were you doing.First, is your phone SIM/CID unlocked,if you were trying to upgrade to a latest wm6 rom,its essential to have the phone CID unlocked
Secondly,while in bootloaders, Activesync doesn't work,you got to have a working OS on the phone to sync with activesync,but when in bootloaders and usb appears in the bottom of the screen,you can flash the rom.

K Jam hangs at blue screen
Hi to all,
I have a K jam more then 1 years old. Now It is giving some probem. There is no display but only light in the screen but I make call and recieve calls!.
First time when problem arised. I pressed 3 battons(2 left side and 1 up side)the screen will became perfect and when I remove the battery & reinserted, the problem arised again. When I asked some 2 to 3 mobile service mens, thay told that there is a problem with OS (By reinstalling the OS it will be repaired). I think probem is with the strip connect motherboard to the LCD, that could be cuted but service mens told no, it is problem with OS.
Where I can get the OS, WM5 is preinstalled in it.
Still it did not open the mobile. Please help me

Phone bricked during flash of roms??

I have a huge problem and I hope you guys can help me. I tried to flash the orbit (german) artemis of my brother. First flashed the uspl and everything worked fine. At the end there came this penguin picture and the screen stayed black/blue. Then I flashed the rom (MossisROMV3.0GER Windows Mobile 6.5).
HOWEVER: Right then the battery of the laptop went down and the pc switched off. Unfortunately we couldnt plug it in, since we didnt have the cable with us. Now after pluging in the pc there were some connection error notices. Since I didnt know how to proceed I removed the battery of the artemis. I thought I should repeat everything from the beginning on. However the phone always got stuck at the blue o2 screen showing the data:
IPL 3.04.0001
SPL 3.04.0000
GSM 02.88.90
OS 3.13.0.0
Softreset and harrest doesnt make any difference. The phone always gets stuck here.
Is the phone bricked?? Why then does it start? Please help me out asap, since the phone is needed. What can I do?

first you are NOT CID unlocked (SPL 3.04.0000)
so you can only flash german orbit ROM on the phone to revive it
1. get to bootloader (press and hold the record button and reset the phone using stylus)
you will get the tri colour screen
2. connect the phone via USB to PC (no need to look for activesync/WMDC connection in this case)
3. and run the RUU (official O2 german ROM for O2 Xda Orbit)

BTW i have official o2 UK ROM in my 4shared account
look for the link in my signature
you may try your luck on that

after installing a wm 6.5 ger rom i must say i dont like it at all. can you recommend me another one? i think one with htc touchflo would be great, but which one is it?
If i want to flash a new rom, do i first have to flash the original rom before proceeding?

Diamond rom error!

SOS!!! im not computer specialist so i made a mistake.... I used this ROM
Benko's Ultra Lite & Clean Windows Mobile 6.5.3 ROM , the full and prime version... I didnt make any hspl spl etc... Since then, Im not able to put our phone's old Rom because when it is syncrhonised and im trying to install the Rom, my phone disconects and it shows a Red, green blue, whit picture with this:
DIAM100 MFG 64M
SPL-1.40.OliNex
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0X32
.....HELP MEEEE!!! :'(

you are in bootloader mode...you can flash any rom you want simply using the customRUU.exe included in the rom

restart the diamond from the red button under the stylus and hold the volume down.
the diamond will rise again with a screen with colored stripes, connect the USB cable and flash the rom

im trying to do it and it just goes on black screen, disconnects and then nothing..........................

Okay, download an official HTC rom for your device in the language it came with (look up wiki pages for diamond, you'll find them there).
Hook up your phone to your computer and since it is already in bootloader (the red/green/blue screen) just double click the file you just downloaded and follow the instructions on the screen.
Don't worry...your phone will be fine.
btw...your spl is 1.40.OliNex......that looks like unlocked to me (hardSPL)

you can flash a rom connecting your phone through usb...then you should see usb instead of serial..then flash using the software you use abitually

it only writes serial... doesnt go to usb mode............. :

this is strange..try to hard reset your phone...press soft reset then keep pressing volume down and center button till you see a grey screen then press volume up and you are done

well im such an idiot! all I had to do was to rename the nbh file to diamimg.nbh an di was renaming it to diaming! this is it! everything is fine! thanks for your time! god bless you all guys....!

[Q] Rookie Mistake

Hi I have and IMATE PDA2k EVDO and I tried a d-two rom and I now have the device sitting on the 4 color screen every time I reset it. Any idea how I reset it back to defaults so I can load another image onto it, I have the original image. any advice would be appreciated.

Actually I just fixed it.
Anyone know of any WM5,6 or 6.5 roms that work on this phone. The EVDO network is dead here in Australia so I just want to convert it into a PDA.

For the love of God... if you are going to make a thread saying "Hey guys, I broke this, how do I fix it?" Do not EVER update with "I fixed it!" without telling us HOW you fixed it.

I thought it was such simple fix it did not requiere explaination. To enter the bootloader you do the following
Press Power + record (above the volume slider) + softreset at the same time.
This puts it into the load mode so you can reflash.

hi nid help... i followed the instruction on how to upgrade my ppc but it seems that the download link for win 6 does not exist anymore and now im stock in the boot loader i think the screen only shows "serial and below shows v2.07" i cant use my phone anymore i tried to reset it and emove the battery but stil it only shows serial... hope you can help me guys tnx...godbless

Yea so did anyone figure out this whole problem with the white boot loader screen? I'm no where near a programmer or anything but I think my boot loader version is out dated. My HARRIER, not blue angel, is stuck at a white screen that reads Serial(USB when connected to usb of course) and v1.02. I've had a Harrier before this and it had the four color screen for boot loader. Am I on to something here?
Oh btw I already tried to reflash the rom over and over but updater keeps saying it can't connect.
