Couldn't get this to work, tried both kernels from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822618 and couldn't get past the white htc incredible screen after flashing. I'm currently running myn's warm 2.2, maybe an issue with that?

looks like a more manual version of setcpu in the screens they showed
I use it on my wifes eris and it works great. Strange, I was just going to ask if this was something that could be developed for the DInc. Also I hate setCPU. Puts me in boot loops with cm 6 nightly.
Hey Evo-board,
My friend has an Evo and I recently Rooted and got him Myn's ROM, but he's having some pretty bad battery life. I've got him some battery tweaks but it's looking like the phone is draining pretty badly. Any ideas, or even a ROM you'd suggest. Any help would be great. Please and Thank You.

Wipe and reflash the rom. I don't like the battery tweaks and that will clear it away. Next get a kernel with sbc. Sbc kernels and myn rom give me great battery life.

Swyped From Eva Running Myn's RLS4.95!
Also, be sure that (if it is rls4) you aren't using the 1.9 pri, or the most recent radio with the htc 17 kernel. They aren't compatible with the 3.70 software, cuz rls4 is based off 3.30. So id suggest rolling back to the 1.77pri, and to the last radio. Or you could leave the newest radio and use a different kernel, other than htc. 17. That should handle it. Btw, myns has great battery life

The easy way. (download everything you need from the links and put the .zip files where you put your rom so you can find them easily)
Do a full wipe (data/cache/dalvik)
re-flash rom
Then, without rebooting, do the following:
flash the #15 kernel from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876590
flash the 1.77.003 PRI from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715485
in that order and don't reboot until you've flashed all 3 in that order. Battery should be much better (I'm at 70% after having been unplugged since 2:30pm and it's 8:30pm now) and your friend shouldn't have any lag problems or any problems whatsoever.
If you don't wanna go through all that, MikFroyo's rom works with all the new hardware and it's fast and efficient. I spent over a day figuring this out lol because I wanted Myn on my new hardware Evo as well.
Wow that's great, Thanks for all the help. Unfortunately friend isn't around for me to help change that for him. But first thing tomorrow i'll reflash and do those two other flashables. Thanks a lot guys, really like this board a heck of a lot more then others.

What is the best Kernal to run with Warm Z (RLS1) Evo?
I used stock and enjoyed it just fine. But if your a flash addict and/or just wanna try something new head HERE to netarchys kernels and give an sbc a try if you havent already. See my signature for the kernel and setup I run as my daily. Also, check THIS site out. He has put together and tested/compared many if not all kernels and roms. Enjoy
i just went back to this rom from rls5 theres just too much crap in that one tho i did keep the radio updates from that rom and flashed 4.3.4-cfs-havs-more-nosbc (More Aggressive HAVS) from netarchy its nice fast and not hard on the battery so far
I ran warm z for a long time with no issues. Loved it. Try Net's kernels and Ziggy's at ziggy471.com. Every phone is different and responds to kernels differently. Best to try a few out and see what works.

I did the same (RLS5) had too much
I saw the warm ROMs in some of the other forums, and I was wondering if we had one for our phone, I don't recall seeing one, but I may have overlooked it. From what I can see, its a very smooth looking ROM. If we do, what version of sense is it, 2.1, 3.0, or 3.5?

No you can't I'm not to for sure on what it will do but DO NOt Do It . I heard it will Bork your phone

It will. Evo ROMs only on the Evo, and the same with all phones
In the 50/50 chance, you'll either brick your phone, or it simply won't flash. I've seen both happen.
definitely.... do not ever flash a rom that is not made for your phone.
However, If you are looking for a good rom. Then here are some suggestions.
Sense-
Synergy warm 2.2 rls 1 or warm 2.3 rls 1( warm 2.3 is the newest version. It is a huge rom due to it being sense 3.5 )
Aosp
either MIUI or CM7
With Aosp roms they will take less space on your phone but can be more finicky at times and require a gps fix. But once you do then the roms are great. I flash a rom sometimes once a week just to see whats out there.
My two favorite roms are MIUI or Synergy Warm 2.3

Would you try and flash a ROM designed for a Galaxy S onto your phone? No, because it's not made for your phone. Same goes for the Evo 3D and Evo Shift.
