So point is to collect all web shops with some interesting accessories on one place, so that is easier to find something for your phone.
I think that it will be nice to make a small collection of various sites and online stores where can be purchased various accessories for XPERIA X8. This way it will be easier to find some accessories and compare prices on various stores.
I have couple of sites where can be bought some stuff, but it will be great if rest of you will suggest some links, and I'll add them in this first post, so that we make nice collection of available stuff for XPERIA X8.

Housing... You mean like replacing the front cover as well as the back? From the looks of it, you'd need to take the whole phone apart with special tools to be able to get the front off.

Oh wut. Why would you? That'd make your phone f**k ugly, and you could always just buy a second battery and carry that around with you. Cheaper option too, you'd think.
Even then, the battery life on this phone is fantastic. Well, compared to an iPhone. My past phones (Sony S500i, W580) could last days without a charge.
Yep complete housing. I've seen offers for "replacement housings with special tools" for several phones. Seems to be just 4 easily accessible screws. Guess I'll just have to wait and see what shows up.

You just need something to adapt USB on car thing (lighter), and it's easy enought to find. On "dealextreme dot com" website for example.

there are already "back cover" replacements over at ebay. They have the black one.
btw, the back cover of my x8 is a little loose, specifically on the part where you stuck your fingernail to open it. with its design, i think the back cover is prone to looseness. i even returned it to the store, and the replacement cover is still the same....anyone who has a problem like this?

My cover is "squeaky" it hasn't got a perfect fit.
I supposed this would happen if I started playing with firmware updates and such
I have that kind of problem too, but because it doesn't "hold" the battery correctly.
So sometimes the battery moves and I have to open the phone to put the battery back in place to turn on the phone again...
On that subject, does anyone know where to find complete faceplate / cover for X8 ?

It's been a week since I've ordered, and current status is:
"Confirmed,Payed,Unshipped"
I'm quite sceptical tbh. But then again, I knew it was a gamble. I'm in no hurry tho, so guess I'll give it a couple weeks before starting to pester PayPal for my money back. I'm checking the order daily, and will update if anything change.
I'm sure you'll get the product, eventually...but I'm suspicious of their customer service and product quality.

OK, I am having a case crisis for the Universal.
It is too heavy for pockets. Carrying it closed for protection has problems (don't know about hinging that screen that many times, voice call doesn't work, can't see who's calling, etc.) so I will probably end up carrying it face up, and need protection for the screen. So the case is a must.
Here is what I could find that is available for the JasJar. Please share your opinions, experiences.
- The case that comes with JasJar: I am not going to say anything.

I am also particularly interested in those that do buy and their feedback. Initial impressions are that it is going to add significant size to an already existing large size, it it gets much bigger we'll need a backpack.
I think that a vertical hanging case will work best becuase of the length of the unit. I have a T-Mobile pouch with a belt clip that came with my HP 6315 and the Jasjar fits perfectly in it. When I clip it to my waist there is a big bulg since it is in a horizontal position if I am wearing a suit jacket or an outside hanging shirt. I think if it was just hanging vertically it wouldnt even be noticeable.

It is just great. Unfortunately Vaja don't make a case for the HTC Universal yet.
Vaja once made a great case for a Sony PDA that also had a swivel screen. It was super thin but provided protection from scratches. I cant remember what the model of the Sony PDA was but it was several years ago. I put the case on the Clie and never took it off. The top part would just slip off screen so you could swivel the screen around. I have purchased several cases from them and this one im mentioning was the best ever. I am going to email them right now and make a request they make a similar case for the Universal.

Not a problem - it swivels out of the road!
The XDA II is the same length, slightly longer actually, just not as thick or heavy.

i just love my jasjar! the last few days i have gone without a case. this was one of the reasons i liked the idea of the rotating screen. i feel its safe in my pocket with the screen protected.
OK so guys Forget about expansys.... I mean I always heard bad stuff n them, but my first purchase from them will be the last. I order my case, and after several days no change on my order, I called them and they said that I would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get my case.... :shock:

I got my Jasjar from Expansys USA as well.
I don't have any experience with him, but madmonkeyboy (www.madmonkeyboy.com) has been highly recommended as well.

Case with belt loop for X1?
I lost my mobile once because of a belt clip.
Since that time I prefer a case with a belt loop but unfortunately I coudn't find one for the X1.
Does anybody know of such a case?
There's a company called Waterfield (www.sfbags.com) that makes custom bags. I bought a suede slip cover for my ipod from them. I've been asking if they would be willing to make one for the X1 and they responded that if they had enough interest they might.
I have yet to find another place that makes a simple slip cover (I don't want a big case, I just want a soft cover to prevent scratches to the screen/lens). If anyone else is interested please let them know you're interested.
I'm going to try a Touch Pro case from them since it's only $9 and hope it fits, but they custom cut them to the exact phone specs and the Touch Pro is a few mm shorter. I'll let you know how it fits and if it fits.
EDIT: Funny you posted that today James, I received a second email from them too, so I've changed my order and am going to try it out as well.
It would be awesome if Waterfield made an Xperia case. I have a wallet and a case for my DS made by them and nothing else I've seen comes near to the quality and usefulness of them. I think I'll get in touch and put in another request for an Xperia case!
EDIT: Got a reply from Waterfield saying that their case for the Android phone will be a pretty good fit, though it would be 0.2" taller than the phone.

PDair.com has a whole range of cases for the Xperia X1 now. You have a choice of booklet, flip-up, vertical slip-in, horizontal slip-in, crystal case.
X1 case
I got a PROTECH leather case for my X1. Originally designed for a nokia N85, the X1 fits like a glove. It's well made and very slim. No belt hook (thank God, coz they totally ruin your look). My only concern is the right, open side. It's exposed and the only thing securing the phone inside is a leather strap with a magnetic latch. Although the phone won't slide out, might be a problem if you accidentally drop it on the open side. Got it from Cellucom here in the UAE.

Be careful buying the Leather cases from ONLINE. i live here in HK and Shenzhen, and i know they make the copy version looking the exact same but its not the same quality leather plus the inside part that touches the screen of the galaxy note is different. personally i used the original leather white case for about one month then i switched because even the originals will wear down and start to peel away depending how ruff you are with your cases.
Personally now i carry the ZENUS Case and i love it alot more.

I have one I am not using but when I sell the phone I am sure the new owner will want it. I bought a used White Note and decided i did not like white as the phone was to conspicuous already, . Regualar cases are too bulky so I began looking for the blue Samsung flip cases to cover the white up. but decided after actually using the white one for a few days, it was a PIA to take a call on and decided not to deal with any case and just skin the phone with Decalrus.com
I too have been looking for the international flip OEM case in white...no luck. I've seen a few on Ebay and when I asked the Sellers they said it would fit. Upon researching I found they would not fit. I saw a review on Amazon where someone said they bought one on expansy, but they are sold out of white, they do have the dark navy though for $24.99. Please, if anybody has for sale or knows where one can be bought, do tell Thank you.
Hi everyone thanks for the tips on finding a case. I found one on ebay that the seller states is OEM and its for the international SGN and shows pictures of the battery clips for reference and says its NOT for the At&t version. The price wasn't bad either $13.99 with free shipping. Seller does not have perfect feedback but for $13.99 i took a gamble. Ill post back after i receive it and comment on fit and finish. Thank you again for the help and responses.

I contacted this seller and asked if it was the Samsung case, because my experience on eBay has been with sellers in Hong Kong or China that they make their own and put Samsung's branding on. They replied this morning and it is in fact not an original Samsung. Ugh....maybe you don't mind that, but I do....I want real oem dang it!

You never know, it could look and function just as well as Samsung's........but whenever you see a seller claiming an "oem" item and you see they are from Hong Kong/China/etc...ask them if it's real oem and not made by their factory. The seller did reply that the case was made with the "finest craftsmanship". But please, if you think of it, let us know how it is when you get it.

The fake original cases you see on ebay are made of **** quality leather and the glue they use is not great at all. plus the soft valvet side that actually touches your phone is extremely different, and the cut out hole area for the ear peice is to wide, and the Samsung logo on the back is made from a very cheap shiny plastic. If you live here you can buy them for around 4-5$ USD.

My only issue so far. The sharp edge on case bezel lifts the screen protector.
*UPDATE 1*
I received my Zagg Case Friendly screen protector. It works perfect with the Magpul case. It's also the HD film and it's really smooth to the touch... Unlike the original Zagg film. I definitely recommend this to anyone buying the Magpul cases when they become available.

I received my first wireless charger yesterday and it works perfectly with this case. The charger is the powerbot on Amazon. And charges pretty fast.

Where did you pick up those cases? I called magpul direct as soon as they made the announcement on their FB page 2 weeks ago and they said that they were "shipping to distributors." So far I haven't been able to find anyone that has them listed for sale.
I want one of these very, very bad. In fact I have called magpul monthly since November when I got my Nexus 5 bugging them to make a case. And now they have!!!
Just gotta figure out a way to get my hands on one now...
I ordered them direct from magpul. They normally don't sell direct, but I chatted with the lady on the phone for a few and she let me order them. But, they do in fact have them. So, it shouldn't be long until they show up at dealers.

According to their email the other week, they should have all the normal colors they make for the iPhone.
I don't have a wireless charger, so I'm not sure on that part. I can't use one one either way, because I have a Scosche Magic mount plate between phone and case.
I have no leads on dealers as of yet. I was told they are being shipped, but not to whom.
How are the buttons? Easily pressed or rigid like most other TPU cases?

The power button has a noticeable clicky feel to it. I do find that you have to press the lower part of the button to get a consistent press, because the one raised rib goes around the edge and is the same height as the button.
The volume rocker doesn't have any clicky feel to it. Because of this, it's kind of hard to tell that there's an action unless you are looking at the screen.
Those things I can live with. I've already gotten used hitting the lower part of the power button and I don't use the volume button very much. I also ordered a Zagg case friendly screen protector to hopefully eliminate the lifting issue. Will, report back once I've installed.

Magpul told me that the first distributors that they shipped to are Midway and Brownells. Been checking at those sites several times a day with no luck so far though...
I was a little sketchy about these based on the CAD image, but these came out AWESOME. I would definitely rock one.
I really want this case. Soon as I can find it...(I didn't see it on amazon when I searched the site on my N5).

Yea i called Brownells and was told they dont have a date on when they will be in and also had a online chat with Midway and was told the same thing. This sucks.

I kind of feel bad guys...kind of. I guess I got lucky when I called last week. Like I said, they usually don't sell direct. That's why I didn't tell everyone to call Magpul asking to order.
On a side note the case has been great. It has a strange feeling to it. Rigid, but still soft textured. Can't wait to get my case friendly screen protectors tomorrow to fix the bubbles.

Case-Mate has a tough case available soon that seems to compatible with the dock. Only downside is they didn't cover the charging-flap. Wich make it look weird and a lot of the side unprotected.

I made a request if there will be other docking-acceptable models and another tough-model that covers the flaps.
That would be ok if the uncovered flap bit, matched the bottom half, the magnetic charging is definitely accessible.

The official Sony smart window view case will work with the dock when the front of the case is folded to the back. This is what I intend to buy.
Just received a batch of these (10 for $16) from a seller on aliexpress. They're from the same factory as the 'terrapin' cases made for the Z1C.
Very light plastic with rubber finish and holes in all the right places This was my fave case for the Z1C so glad they're making them for our new baby. Gonna keep a couple and the rest are going on fleabay :good:
Now I just need a phone to put inside it

From the pictures I've seen of the smart window covers, they have a cut out for the magnetic charging, you won't even need to fold it open to charge it in the dock.
I've managed to only find one video yet of the thing in action including, how you attach it. Sadly it's in Italian but you get the gist from the video.
It looks like the inside of the cover that attaches to the back of the phone is some sort of sticky? plastic that attaches to the glass back, rather than the usual plastic type tray that clips on, this does make it more form fitting, I don't know how secure or long lived it would be though. Take a look and see for yourself. (This is for the Z3 but the Z3c also has a version which will be the same, just smaller)

That's annoying. They've gone from one extreme to the other. I suspect a lot of people with the CM Tough for the Z1C, like myself, ended up cutting a gap for the magnetic charger.
TBH that's the only port I really need access to. I very rarely connect the device by USB and the SD and SIM both go in the phone when I get it and come out when I sell it.
Here's hoping for some well designed tough cases.

But now I've seen a description of the charger dock and it says the pins are compatible with our without a case, and the window case seems to be very thin material anyway.

Hey.. was just kidding.. I will certainly have a cover for this phone considering that this is a phone I intend to use for at least the next 2-3 years. Been using my GS-II for the past three years with a cover and is still looking pretty good all because of the cover. But that said, seeing this beauty without the cover is a treat it in itself
Really waiting to see the official style cover from Sony for this phone similar to the one for Z3.
Received a hard shell case from eBay this morning, will protect sides but not much protection top and bottom, nice and thin. £1.95 on eBay delivered. I'll post some photos when I get the phone, maybe tomorrow.
I must admit, after seeing the video, and not having a glass phone before, I'll be looking for something that's probably Gel for bounce, non flip & definitely with a cut-out for docking port only. I've had a good look on Amazon/Ebay etc. but it's too early to tell as the phones not actually out yet. Hopefully the clove case will do for the interim until the pictures a bit clearer and thee's some user reviews on the various options. Definitely needs a case of some sort though that's beyond doubt.
