Hello, does anybody knows if it is possible or how to play music from my android to my car stereo with a bluetooth connection? Once it is possible to do this with calls, i thought that may be a way... Thanks

just connect both devices to Bluetooth accept the connection on the stereo from the device and play music ^^
Not sure if this should be in accessories or not but I've been looking into getting a head unit for my car and have been wondering whether there is good android integration on decks these days. I was looking into the Kenwood excelon series but I didn't know how well they function with the e4gt, Google music, usb, and bluetooth. I've tried searching the Internet for my answers but have gotten various answers, so I decided to get your guys input.
Not sure if blue tooth connectivity or usb would be better- I've heard that id3 tags won't show up by way of bluetooth in some cases. I want a deck that I can select my music from since it's against the law to use my cell phone while driving here, and I would like to continue using Google music because everything is in the cloud. If need be I could always put music on my sd card but that is a last resort. Any ideas, suggestions, experiences? Thanks!
Edit: I don't know if this is useful but I forgot to add I'm running stock rooted gb el29 until ics gets fully stable (I know it's pretty much there already but I'd rather not bother with bugs right now)

U can try adapter to stereo u currently have...bluetooth adapter works great for talkin on phone and listenin to music or usb if u want to read music and charge phone at same time..
But would an adapter allow you to select music through your stereo or would you still have to select music by way of your phone?

I have the KFC-x794, a tad old I know, with the hands free addition. Works for me. But I had to get the bt adapter because the USB only works a crapple.
Love how autocorrect took KDC to KFC. Must be hungry...

I hate the chokehold that Apple has on stereo integration yet no love for Android. I don't get it.
All the id3 tags work fine on your desk? Also does Google music work with it?

That looks like a decent way to use the stock radio, how easy was it to install for you?

Not sure what you're asking me. Tags for over the bt adapter to the display on the head? No. They don't work on that for me. But the player works fine.

I have a sony deck, and the stock music player app works over bluetooth. MP3 track titles show up on the deck, I can pause, skip tracks forward and back, and fast forward/rewind using the controls on the deck. I have tried a couple of different music players and only the stock Touch Wiz player can be controlled from the deck. I can listen to other music player through bluetooth, but loose the deck control.
FYI I've used calk's GB and ICS roms, stock rooted, and Blazer GB with the sony deck.

Perfect that's more or less what I was wondering and it seems to be predominate that only the stock player works with id3 tags showing up on the deck.
Has anyone figured out a work around to get Google music to work?

I have a pioneer 80prs and he one thing that sucks on Android is the bluetooth lag.... When watching a movie and streaming the audio to the headunit the video is a second or two ahead

I'm trying out a friends pioneer this weekend and I'm almost positive I'll get a pioneer deck or a Kenwood excelon. They seem to be catching up with android use finally according to reviews. I would say it's partly google's fault and partly stereo brands. I imagine it's hard to plan to integrate android when it is so fragmented.
Just out of curiosity, has anyone here tried using a tablet as a head unit? I'm curious how much audio quality you would have to sacrifice..

Check out mirror link head units... I believe Sony has a model coming to the states soon... supposedly they support full integration with your phone...
As far as the tablet goes, if you can run your audio through your usb your audio quality should be as good as the quality of the music files on your tablet and the quality of the sound system in the car...

That looks absolutely amazing! A bit on the high end of what I'm doing to spend but it looks like it would be worth it. Do you have the appradio2?

I have a habit of listening to BBC world live via the BBC app
However , the playing often stops itself
I have made sure that I have got enough free ram, around 100mb.
p.s. I use a Sony Bluetooth headset to listen
Do anyone have the same issue ? and how to solve it?

Is the playback stopped because of the fact the app is killed or because the bluetooth connection was dropped?
I am using Galaxy Nexus with the 4.0.4 official rom

Hey! Wondering if you guys could help me out, I have an old HTC incredible s that I want to leave plugged into my stereo and stream music from my gs3 to it, preferably over blue tooth since I never use wifi. Is there any way to set this up?

I can't remember the name of the app, but there is a program that allows 2 mobile devices (tablets and/or smartphones) to connect this way. The app for the host device is a paid app but each addon device utilizes a free controller app. In this instance, your HTC would use the paid host app to be used with a stereo, TV, computer, etc and your s3 (and any other phones/tablets) would use the free remote control app. I'll see if I can find it again

I'll keep my eye out for something, I'm always trying to find different ways to make everything work together at my house...
I am on stock ROM rooted and I have an issue. Bluetooth only works for calls but not for any type of media no matter if Pandora Slacker and so on or YouTube Vevo Video and so on. Also NFC won't work because it uses Bluetooth as well. So does anyone has an idea what is going on or has a fix for that? Thanks.
