Openfire Wildfire Froyo [RLS1] [11/28/2010] - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Android Development

i ported openfire from wildfire.. It is without sense.. and i think its slower than other one.. i didnt tried it too much.. but, its smaller than scoot cyanogen rom..
I think its a good step to port more roms from wildfire.. im working on rom with sense... but its really hard..
here is download link

working all on NAND
thanks to clemsyn very much

Can You add screens?

It looks same as Clemsyn's build to me.

no his isnt a wildfire port his is from somewhere else, but either way its still AOSP android so it will look the same no matter what, minus a few apps our fresh froyo build is really close to it if you run it stock too

Hey Bro nice work, May be you & clemsyn can get Sense working on it, that would be awesome. Can't believe I fell in love with HTC sense when I first saw it on Hero

That might not be possible. Our kaisers are pretty ram limited. Unless its on the dream then were not getting it. Ever.

even if they do get it working its not going to fit on nand at all

Then we can install system on SDcard [Ext2 Partition] & Data on Nand like the Super Hero ROM from incubus. Anyway, installed your ROM looking good one issue
it can't Detect my SD card [2 GB Fat32].

is it as stable and fast as clemyn's froyo?

I agree, one way to do it though is to increase the system size using atools and then install data on SD partition (ext2). I do hope I could help out but my kaiser is down

This is just a vold.fstab issue...easy fix.

It is a little bit slow but stable as rock; I can't find any enhancements or new features other than clemsyn's.
Clemsyn's Froyo build has worked best for me. No offense to other Chefs but all of kaiser community is just amazing.

No offense taken! Everyone's builds are different. Everyone also has different picks of what they like. I don't think any of the dev's are out to become an "undisputed kaiser build champion" lol. We just get ideas and then release them.

i think it is possible.. when we put all htc Sense apks on /data/app_s/*.*
system part will be smaller.. and we can install all on NAND.. but i think /data should be on ext2 because 40mb or i dont know how much free is on nand, isnt much

how can i fix this:
[ xxx.xxxxxx] request_suspend_state: wakeup (0->0) at xxxxxxxxxxxx (1980-01-01 00:04::58.xxxxxxxxx UTC)
[ xxx.xxxxxx] init: untracked pid xxx exited

Nothing stock? I basically means how it comes if you took the OTA update but with added A2SD+. I am open to the odd little extra or so but there's so many ROMs on here that have had only a few extras added yet they all seem to be plagued by their own collection of little bugs, so I'd rather just start with something as clean as possible. I would have flashed Paul's release already but I already have my SD card partitioned and standard Froyo A2SD just seems rubbish.

[Q] Most stable 'stock-like' rom

Hey guys
I'm flashing my mom's Desire (she has no need for any extra features above the desire's stock ones) so I'm wondering if you have any recomendations on a very stable and fast ROM?
I would have installed the stock desire rom, but since I rooted and s-offed the device already it seems a waste to lose it.
Thanks alot for your help
Oh and Sense is a must, she just learned how to use it, if i give her an AOSP rom she will have to learn to use it again...

Why would you root it at all when she doesn't need any extra functions? Also, you choose wrong timing to do so with official Gingerbread release in the upcoming weeks.
But, if I was doing so, I'd flash AuraxTSense 8.4.
sorry to barge in but i was wondering the same question! i know whats the OP need, he bought a new phone and giving the Desire to his mom. am i right?
even if you are not, i just bought SGS2 today and giving my Desire to my mum. need recommendation too. the most stock look and can be stable and no performance decrease in a long run. cuz i am gonna be away from her when college opens, so i dont want the phone to have trouble.
S-offed, rooted, Cm7 r2 hboot. but i'll go back to stock hboot maybe.

2.10.405.2 INIT.D ROM v2.0
This version is mostly identical to the first except it has a minor mod to enable init.d scripts. No scripts are included, so this won't affect anything in itself. However, it gives much greater flexibility for mods, and is required if you want to make some of the changes below. This version of the ROM doesn't include the radio, so you must flash an up to date version yourself if you don't have one already. You do not have to install the first ROM before this. Updates: latest Superuser app and new boot image (closer to stock).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=404595&d=1284981062 <- A2SD+ highly recommended so that your mum doesn't run out of room after a week of using the phone because contacts, emails and other app data also eat internal storage. Hit me up if you don't know how to partition her SD card to have an EXT4 partition
Basically, if you just flash the first two download links in the quote, you'll have rooted ROM that is entirely stock. No extra features or anything that isn't in the HTC RUU. Then if you flash the powersaving mod, nothing changes featurewise but internally the phone will use less power and her battery will last longer. She won't need to do a thing. With A2SD+, all you need to do is go through installed apps every now and again and move them to the internal storage (as the phone is "tricked" into installing apps on the EXT4 partition instead of on the phone itself, which means more apps available to be installed but just as fast as normal).
Wait, it's S-OFF and rooted? Why not give RCMix S Evolutionary Sense v2.0 a go?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988570
I've been using it personally since the end of May. No problems at all, just lacking updates (but the developer is busy withj real life, so that's that)
It's using the new Sensation and 2.3.3 Android version and, it's sense, and, it looks sexy.

Also, excuse my tutorial-like post above. If you can S-OFF and root the phone chances are you know half of that!

It was my phone for less than a week over the easter, rooted, s-offed installed rcmix v8 then I got myself my new Desire HD and been using that (sig).
For the Desire I installed RCMix's rom since i didn't mind any bugs, restarts and force closes since i thought i would update it on regular basis with the new versions. But as soon as I got my new phone, I left the country (student in uk) and just came back this week for holidays, and my mom has been complaining with reliability so I'm returning her phone to the most stable build of 'stock-like' rom.
If you mean flashing a RUU and then rooting and s-offing that just seems a bit of a waste of time. Since it's already rooted and s-offed i would like to keep it that way.

I might give it a try but im using sense 3.0 on my DHD and even with the newer CPU and more memory and more frequent updates it still has a few glitches. I searched through the thread and it seems that the ROM still requires some bug fixes (ppl talking about bugs with headset and other small bits and bobs)
Thanks everyone for your replies, I will check out the rom's and see which one will suit her best!
No probs.
I'm using a D2EXT modded version and I don't have any problems with the headset. The v2.0 is pretty ironed out, 2.1 is where people seem to be having issues. But for your mum I guess the Twppic74 ROM would be best, definitely!

That's old info. Latest news is that it passed QC and should be released in the next three weeks.
Forget 3.0 etc port stuff etc., you know you need rooted stock. She doesn't care for Sense 3.0 but cares if bluetooth doesn't work with handsfree.
Pretty sure bluetooth works ok with this ROM. It's hit and miss and dependant on hardware. The RCMixS ROM as I said has bee really ironed out. There's also the InsertCoin ROM which he's more up to date with advancements!
Hope you find the Teppic74 ROM well! Served me well for many months.

Superb ROM - Once I'd managed to install it (only recently acquired a Desire from a Hero upgrade) it's been excellent.
I can't find fault: Bluetooth (inc car kit), camera, video, iPlayer, GPS, Speed etc etc all running nice and smooth.
The only thing is that the arcade boot screen might not be to your Mom's liking - although boot time is good.

belongs to what sense you want 2.1 / 3.0 or 3.5 ?
2.1 i would recommend virtuous sense 2.0
3.0 ...virtuous unity
3.5 ...beatmod bliss sense or virtuous affinity, also rcmix is very good (went back to affinity cause of the light brightness)
...if you install a sense rom (specially 3.0 or 3.5) i would suggest to apply some tweaks: enable swap (swap partition or swapper2), change your system partition to ext4 (using 4ext recovery) and have a look at the supercharger thread (because multitasking is a bit laggy due to low memory)
I suggest you use G2-Slim. This is without sense but has launcher pro as the stock launcher. It also has cool animations if you upgrade to the launcher pro plus edition you also get the (almost identical) sense widgets for people, friends hub, twitter, facebook, message, etc.
The G2-Slim ROM is extremely fast in comparison with other ROMS. Everyone will advise something else to use but it's yours to decide. So take a week flashing and get the best out of it.
I highly suggest you try at least:
-G2-Slim
-Bulletproof MIUI
-Cyanogenmod
I'm not known with the newest sense ROMS atm as I tried a lot of them but in my opinion was the peformence to low and the sense based ROMS I tried had a lot bugs in it too.
So that's my advice and do with it what you want! GL .

Fastest AOSP ROM for Wildfire from your experience?

Hello everyone,
I would be interested to know which Wildfire AOSP ROM would you say is the fastest from your experience.
Different opinions are welcome.
Thanks
CM7~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah CM7. Although this opinion is narrow minded as i have only ever used this ROM - its fast enough and has all the features i want, i am reluctant to move away from it as i am comfortable with my set up.
CM7 is best for me
I use Oxygen, I have used CM7 but i just find oxygen faster.

Are you using the Oxygen TEST version from here or some other Oxygen derived ROM?
I'm using an Oxygen derived ROM on my Desire (the Wildfire is my girlfriend's) and I have to say it is noticeably faster than CM7.
To my CM7, but with all the patches around here
Well I'm going against the grain now as I've tested just about every Rom going and after many months of staying away from HTC sense I find rempuzzle lite version to be equally as fast and a heck of a lot more stable than cm7 or oxygen or any of its rip offs. Also with the knowledge I've gained from modding and customizing cm7 to my liking I can make it equally as beautiful.

You can use Staus Bar Settings which can overcome the issue and it is available free in the Market..
I tried every single rom and tested them at least 2 weeks before flashing something new.
First of all; Wildfire is a slow device. You got to live with it.
Second of all; All roms are slow because wildfire is slow. You need to find the most stable rom. Which is, either CM7 or Rempuzzle. Oxygen is pretty stable as well.

off topic but 37.41mbs? thats mental!
anyway, I hadnt changed my cmw between nandroids. only found out how to change it when i updated my radios last week.
recently i've been getting loads of FC's and jumping launchers and weird stuff happening on my CM7. I've been happy with it since december now but its starting to bug me. I need a more stable ROM thats going to run smoothly.
As Scratch said above, I'm sure with my knowledge of modding and buggering things up and then fixing them, i can find a more stable rom and get it how i like it.
After trying various rom's over the last couple of months, including aosp and sense based rom's, I've settled on oxygen rom as my favorite.
For me, both the asop and sense rom's would load quickly and work well. But i prefer the asop based rom's for their look /style.

Lol. I have a very comfortable internet speed.
I took scratches comments into account and decided to try rempuzzle too after being back on jokerdroid for a while.
And I am impressed too with this rom after removing and editing to my own preferences. But I have been experiencing some annoying cwm restore issues after backup.keep getting bootloops but I think It may have had something to do with previous custom mtds and/or old dta2sd script flash. Although jkd didn't present these issues. Anyway flashed fresh cwm 5.0.2.7 jrodd version and updated to dta2sd beta 3 and started from scratch (no pun) with rempuzzle again so gotta find time to mess with framework then report back.
Both roms I've mentioned are very good but I think I might end up reverting back to cm7 eventually. Lol I get bored very quick.
P.s off topic but is there any way to hide/show status bar with 1 click or swipe method etc etc for sense!!!

[Q] Sense ROM for my noobish father

So time has come to switch my good ol' Desire for the One.. It's still in great shape though so I will give it to my father, who has never had a smartphone before. My mother has had a Desire for a while now too, so I'd like to pass the responsibility of teaching him how to operate on it to her.
As such, I need a Sense rom that is as close to stock Froyo as possible, very stable and with a good battery life(which will seem short anyway for a smartphone-newbie. I've tried MIUI and MW's Oxygen roms in the past and while I was very happy with those, I need a Sense one for this and I haven't tried any of them to be honest so I have to ask.. Which do you consider to be the most stable, fast, good battery Sense rom available?
So far I considered downgrading but thought it's too much of a hassle for nothing since there are a variety of Froyo ROMs but I have no idea which are the best in time.
It doesn't have to be the newest, as I said even an older Sense version is alright since I want it to look as close to Froyo as possible. Space isn't much of a concern either but since I can't take my card to the new phone a2sd is welcomed. And one last thing, though I don't know how feasible, if any of them have additional language support, Romanian in this case, that'd be swell.
Go to development section and theres a thread at the top for a rom called CoolSense, thats prob the best oldish sense rom there is. U will need to partition ur sdcard tho if u want a2sd, theres a guide in my sig.
