[Q] Proble CORE PLAYER on TV (video out) - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I have COREPLAYER V1.3.6 running on TP2 with WM6.5.
The program is very good and I can see dvix very well but I've a BIG problem.
When I connect TP2 to TV using original HTC video out cable and play movie with COREPLAYER I see many, horrible, blue bean.
It's impossible play movie on tv, otherwise if I use windows media player or the player standard installed on my TP2 everything work right.
Can somebody help me?
Thanks a lot and excuse me for my bad English

This has been an issue with coreplayer from the beginning. The only solution is to play around with the settings. There is no other solution..

I tried any possible setting that i can find.
Some settig "VIDEO OUT" don't make blue bean on TV but the images are not very good and not fluid.
I'm so sad.
I waste money buing this cable if i can't play divix on tv.
Any ideas?

HTC Streaming player problem

Hi there
I have been trying for a while to view streaming youtube streaming vids on my unlocked spv-m700 without success.
I have downloaded the HTC steaming player and added the missing dll's from the available pack but when I try and stream a mobile YT video it buffers to arround 99% then the player shuts down.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Orb Streaming Video

Ok, so I just upgraded to Ricky's rom (wonderful!). All is well and good.. But i'm experiencing the same video problem I was on WM6. I am simply trying to stream video through Orb.. But I get no video, only sound.
Now, I have copied the dll's for the decoder and restarted my phone. Still, I get no video. TCPMP is the same (rc81).
Am I missing a step?
Thanks for the help!
Nick
disregard
plz disregard.. figured out that its an issue with codecs on my home box, they have decided to stream in black... Woops!
Slingbox, Orb, Lobster, FlashVideoBundle and Streams4pda All Works Perfect

I use the RC81 TCPMP/Player beefed up codecs version with extra codecs and Orb, SlingBox, Lobster, FlashVideoBundle. Streams4pda (Global TV) all works like a charm with Ricky's (17) version ROM. I have no problem connecting back to my home PC with any of my mobile devices.....!
this was one of the coolest features i've found thanks to this thread, i can monitor my entire house through web cams, and watch it all on my phone.

What program can i use to watch youtube or divx on my dash, and where can i get it? THX Sorry Newb..

[request] .flv player???

Anyone got a working one??
Did you try these:
Youtube Player (freeware): play some kind of FLV videos, but not everyone. It's depends of the codification!
TCPMP: for this app there's an plugin to execute this kind of videos.
if you want, i can send this files to your e-mail! Or u can use Google!
that'd be ace. I have TCPMP and youtubeplayer, TCMP won't play it though and youtubeplayer plays it but really laggily lol. ill try the addon
re
hello,
i use coreplayer for this, but unfortunately no support for codec On2 VP6
installed the addon but nothings changed TCPMP can't play it lol
A custom version of TCMP called TCMP Project 5500 plays On2 VP6 coded videos. It supports Touch HD, too, although there are some minor interface glitches.
downloaded that and it works but how come some flv videos and other file types are really laggy when they play - it's really annoying, any explanations?
I just reduced the reproducing speed, (less than 100%) , using GDI, it works...
Yeah I have been reading it. So many people seem to have this problem. Most people are on their 4th replacement and still no luck.
I also have a faint flicker when loading market it's not that noticeable. Not sure if it will get worst like others have experienced.
What are you going to do El? Are you going to send it back

media player for windows mobile

hope i am writing this in the right part of the forum.
i have not had my winmo device for long. but i cant find a good media player that supports divx avi mp4.. the one my touch pro 2 came with supports single xvid only, and every other player i have tried simply sucks. coreplayer flips upside down in landscape mode, and looks more like a book flipping pages really fast than a video playing. the same goes for the divx lab player.
i simply refuse to believe that there is not one single multiformat media player for the winmo devices.
so please help me find one..
I'd recommend giving Coreplayer another go, but mess about with the video settings. "Off the shelf" Coreplayer doesn't work for me either (I get a green screen and just the audio), but with a few changes to the settings it plays better than any other video player out there.
In my sig there's a link to "my xda bookmarks" and there's one in there called "TCPMP/CorePlayer - THE best video setting for the HD2 for both these apps". It's HD2 specific, so it may not work that well for other devices, but it's worth a shot.
At least you can try TCPMP to see if it works, before deciding whether or not to shell out on Coreplayer.
Hope this helps mate.

The very best media player

hi,
i'm looking for an awesome media (video) player for my phone.
i'm looking for a good video player that can play a lot of different file formats.
avi, mpg, mpeg, mp4, wmv, etc.etc.
on my laptop i use VLC, and i really love it.
but i can't find a mobile version of VLC.
anybody has a clue for an awesome videoplayer for my phone?
The latest version of TCPMP plays a whole slew of formats. If you want a media player with alot of functionality, Kinoma Player (shareware) has many different functions. Not sure all the formats it plays.
There's Core Player, a branch of TCPMP that is a pretty smooth video player as well. Finally, DivX has an app for WinMo as well, so you could give that a try.
tcpmp and core player are the best on my opinion
i've looked up tcpmp on the web, and found a page about it on http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-tcpmp-v0-72rc1.html but it doesn't seem to be the right one.
when i instal the cab, the program says on startup "unexpected program error, send crash.txt to the developers......".
so it doesn't run on my pocket pc.
i tought i found the tcpmp website with http://coreplayer.com/ but it costs me 24 bucks.
the free version is very difficult to find.
any ideas?
i found yet another release on this forum.
that one seems to be working a bit....
but the movie quality sucks big time.
the sound is on and off all the time.
the picture is shocking...
it's looks like the phone has to work really hard to let me see half a second each time.
it's like:
the audio........... is not .......... like it's ............. supposed........... to be..............
(and the video is the same).
am i doing sometyhing wrong?
I had to look really hard also for a 6.1 TCPMP. Then on this site there seem to be quite a few different ones. I got mine at http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/1059593835-post107.html it says it is version 4.0.3. But it is open source so people do whatever they want with it. Mine is pretty ugly to look at, but it has always worked (except for the initial crashing - see below). Would like a nicer looking version.
Which one did you download?
This fixed my crashing "If you are having issues with no video or the crashing issue on the HTC HD2 this may help you, You will need to go into the Video settings and change the Direct Draw --> GDI and it should resolve the issue you were having."
i don't remember which one i downloaded... wnloaded about 5 of them from different sites.
i installed all of them (one at a time) to see which one worked best.
the one i've got is worked the best way... but like i said it's shocky... to say the least.
i'll try the one you just send me.
i don't care for looks, i just care for video quality.
i can't believe that a simple viedeoplayer can be so difficult to find on windows mobile.
isn't the whole idea of mobile windows, the idea that you have a mobile version of windows?
and isn't windows also (largely) used for different kinds of media? e.g. video, music etc...
windows media player is the best...

Brenda/Vinnie...I don't know if the version at the link below is the one you're using, but check it out and see:

Brenda, I'll still give you a hand getting prepped for the upgrade if you need, I just haven't had much time today to sit down and work on that
TBH I find it alot easier just converting movies and using the HTC player. The Videora TP2 converter does its job perfectly and I like having the movies in the HTC album. Easy access, smooth playback.

the video player is only pops up when you play a video file on the touch pro2...there isn't an icon, tab, or anything like that...
i can vouch that videora is an outstanding programing for converting video for use on the touch pro2...i have the metal gear solid 1,2 & 3 cut scenes on my device...!!!

looks pretty good... but the thing i'm looking for i versatility (i probably wrote it wrong...).
it has to be able to play avi, mpg, mpeg, wmv, mp4 and a lot more if possible.
is this player able to do that?
looks are not important, performance is!
till thus far, tcpmp isn't good enough (it.... plays..... movies...... like..... this...... ).

How do you play a video file so the HTC play can pop up? Do you click the video file from explorer, RESCO or Total Commander type software? I do not understand.

What movies are you trying to play , I dont think you ripped them right or if you got it from some websites , sometimes the copy isnt good. Dont just blame the media player.

You can access them from the HTC album tab just like your photos. That, or tap them from explorer.
EDIT: Granted they are in the MPEG-4 format you get from, for example, the Videora converter I linked.

i'm not to sure how good the quality of the file is.
all i know is, it's a 700 mb avi file that plays beautifully on my old laptop with VLC running on win xp.
now i'm trying to play that same file on the video player you linked, but the quality is awefull.
the audio stops and starts playing every few seconds, and the video just 1 frame a second (and every now and then, it skips a few frames to catch up with the audio).
i personally just think that nobody bothered to make a descent video player for win mobile. OR (and please forgive me for saying this), the phone simply sucks totally (mostly because it has win mobile on it....).
