Bad in the sense what exactly? Plz give more details..is the pic quality bad or is it some software prob related to camera?

pic quality is very bad, software is fine
I guess your camera cover is damaged..try taking pics with the back cover removed and see if tou find any difference...also see in camera settings about the pic resolution size..it should be 5MP..hope dis solves your prob...

Yes, your camera cover is damaged. It may have scratches on it. I also had this problem. The Desire camera cover shouldn't have been made the way it is. Because when you place it on any surface, it can get scratches on it and most of the times it does. What I did, and what you can do, is that you can have your camera cover "buffed" so the scratches on it would go away and you will have good quality pictures.
Buffed means what exactly?BTW my camera cover was already damaged beyond repair,so what i did was removed the circular camera lens cover and replaced ot with a glass of same size..thnx to da watchmaker who agreed to make the glass of same size for a mere $1..i then stuck dis glass on my desire's cover with instant adhesive...camera images are now as crisp and clear as before...now i hav learnt from past experience and bought a pouch from my desire...

Have a look at this machine. It's used to repair scratches on CD/DVDs etc.

I have an HTC Desire Bravo and it suddenly developed this screen issue.
I uploaded images of the phone to my flickr. It seems that perhaps the lcd oil has leaked or maybe water has gotten in. I'm sure it was caused by pressure on the screen as the LED backlights are more visible round the sides now and the inside screen (LCD) seems curved outwards but the outside (digitizer/touchscreen) doesnt seem bent. anyway here's the links to my pictures, If anyone finds a way to fix it without sending it off to get a new screen please let us know!

In order to fox the screen yourself it literally requires you take take apart the ENTIRE phone from back to front. I'm sure you can find a guide on Google, but you'd be really putting your phone at risk if you haven't got any experience with this.
You can't fix this yourself.. needs to be sent for repair, you'll only make it worse mate

I kinda figured. I was hoping to see if it was possible to open the phone and just blow air between the screen and digitizer.. that way i could theoretically pop them apart with like a bit of surgical tubing and an industrial strength blower.
But if the screen isnt connected with a ribbon and is just silicon stuck on then i'm not doing it. HATE that silicon ****.
Oh and thanks bortak
I had the same problem on my Samsung jet. It's a LCD leak. U can fix it ur self but it is very complicated and requires you to dissassemble your phone ..

It would be more helpful when you post the way to do out here.
Swyped from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
As I'm about to order it, I wonder if SO has it, or have used it, because I have some questions about the quality - is it blurred or blackened around the corners of the pictures, is the zoom adjustable, or 10x fixed. If anyone has sample photos I'll be thankful - with and without.
I don't know if it's OK to post the link to the shop, so just pictures. You know it anyway...

I'm waiting for it to come. But the idea was that i could see if so used it. Not a single sample foto on the whole net...

I think this is a stupid accesory. Better to spend the money in a camera..........
Yeah. I can buy a phone for 20$, a laptop, dslr, video camera and a watch. Why do i need a smartphone with a stupid accessory, as i can have a trailer loaded with things tbat do almost the same...

I've bought one, I'll post some photos during the week =)
i bought one for my X1 a couple of years ago... it was garbage from day one. very impractical. the lens wiggled on the plastic phone case and so the build quality is just what you expect.
your $20 is better spent on a real point-&-shoot camera if you want the zoom capability.
any progress here? Just curious

DealExtreme usually get their hands on new products first. So if no one has bought it from DX, no one else have it.
here are pics using the lens [=
i got it after waiting 7 weeks for it to arrive from DX to usa.
its very nice probably more for outdoors which i havent tried yet but here are pictures with and without so you can see how it zooms in at 10x. the only downside is that you cant control the zoom its 10x fixed.
i zoomed in on the picture with the mushroom [=
Mine is really bad, the worst I've seen actually... But ones on YouTube are good? :s

Try giving the lens a clean with a cotton bud. It makes a huge difference.

Try cleaning the lens.
This made a huge difference for me.

After:
I also bumped the contrast and sharpness by one notch.

Just for your information
when I open my device I notice there was a front camera lens protection and it get damaged quickly.
it looks like a cheap Chinese one hahaa loll
The front camera module is very poor quality compared with the S3/ S2 and iPhone. HTC really cut corners with that one. The design is pretty flawed too, as every time you put the phone in your pocket it grates lint off the fabric of your trousers and you eventually end up with a load of fluff lodged in the hole. After three days mine is already saturated with dust and grime to the extent that it effects the picture quality.
Inspired by this thread.
Since it's raining outside today Imma stick indoor and carry out this small project that I've had in-mind for quite sometime

-A cheap PnS camera, in this case I used a Kodak Star MD300 but I guess any camera is fine.
-A screwdriver.
-A scissor.
-3M foam tape.
-My N5 with Nilkin case on.
Disassemble the camera and take this little plastic gem out:
Put two stripes of 3M tape on the case, close to the lens:
And then just put the lens on top and push it gently to secure it:
Make sure the lens are aligned by get a blank image and look at it through the N5 camera, of course there will be darkened corners (vignetting) but make sure they are even:
And that's it, your are good to go.
Here are two samples:
Congrats for your project, the result is impressive!
i tried to do it with this camera http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/news/articles/story_5706.html but it didnt work.
I dont know if its not the right lens but all i could see from N5 was a blur picture.
Maybe it dont need to be a digital camera? Can you help?

What we did here is actually putting a close up lens on the N5 so you have to put the phone very close to the subject to get a sharp picture.

It could be possible
I resume this old thread because suddently many stains/spots appeared in my camera viewer.
One afternoon I took many ( around 20) pictures for work on a building site and they are perfect.
The next morning I opened the camera app and I saw this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

}
I can assure you the phone didn't take any hit, damage or anything else. They just came out like a ghost.
And the strange thing is that day after day the spots are moving and become less dark but more in quantity.
I ordered a new sticker for the back so I'll open the phone and try to clean the lens even it seems perfectly clean from outside and without any scratch
