I've looked over the forums and searched found a couple of threads with directions for functioning MMS but still no one says they are getting my MMS messages after trying these fixes. I use ChompSMS as my MMS program and I have it set to compress MMS messages to 300kb and I never get a failure but the recipient says they never got it. I send over a strong 3g connection and when it's sending I see the up and down arrows next to 3g stay solid signaling it's sending. My T-Mobile MMS is epc.tmobile.com which it is supposed to be as well. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Try using stock messenger or handcent

I use handcent, it works fine. I would try disabling compression in your app first though, see if that fixes anything. If not do what the other guy said and try the stock or a different sms/mms app

So lately Ive noticed alot of time I send picture messages to people it says they cant recieve them. Some people with other Droids can get them and Blackberry users also have no problem. I sent a picture to a basic cellphone and an iphone and neither phone could download the picture. Anyone else having this problem and is there a fix?
I'm having the same problem. I'm also having a problem receiving messages. I'm using redemption 2.0.4
I'm all stock, so the sending MMS part has to be something with 2.2. I don't have any problem receiving them though

Are you sending through handcent? I cannot send mms through handcent. You have to use stock messenger for now...

Im using totally stock and non-rooted phone. Still gives me issues
MMS has always been a challenge for me with this phone. When I first got it I was able to send MMS to anyone with the exception of iPhone users using most messaging application I tried. To send MMS to iPhone users I had to use the stock messaging application (not Handcent, etc.) and also enter text into the text field, or else it would fail. After I upgraded to 2.2 I noticed that more often than not my MMS were failing regardless of the device I was sending it to and what application I used. This problem seems to be specific to the Incredible and is quite frustrating. Any info or knowledge on the subject would be GREATLY appreciated!
I recently loaded CM7 RC2 onto my girlfriends EVO. I wiped everything before hand. She always sends me pictures but every time I try sending her a picture she never receives it. I've tried sending pictures to multiple people and they all receive it. Is there some kind of issue with CM7 and MMS? If so how can it be fixed. I updated the PRL this past weekend.
Well is your 3G, you should have it on when sending/receiving mms messages or it'll take painfully long to send/receive, or not at all.
Her 3G is always on. I don't ever turn it off.
What messaging app are you using?
if you send her text with the picture msg, does she get the text and not the picture?
Shes using handcent. She doesnt get either text or picture. Ill try this weekend using the stock messaging app.

In her receive settings, does she have auto-retrieve on?
Not sure, she cant receive pictures from others either. I'll take a look this weekend and post back if I can't figure it out.
Hi all,
I cant seem to be able to receive Picture messages on my phone. Ive used the original Messaging App and Handcent SMS and i get the same thing in both. It just says downloading and nothing happens.
Anybody else have this issue?

Are you trying to download using WIFI or 3G?
If WIFI, try switching to 3G to see if it works.
That does not work either...
I'm sorry, then probably we'll wait if the others have any ideas, because that switch to 3g worked for me.

I figured it out...
There is an option in the Stock messaging app "Auto-Retrieve" that was not on... as soon as i enable it i got my pictures!
Hey guys,
I have since the beginning with this phone had issues with receiving MMS messages from other AT&T customers, I have not modified it whatsoever all stock APN and settings in that regard. I get a message with the pop up showing "downloading" and its a 32kb file it downloads the text they included with the mms, and shows it switched modes to MMS in the blurb around the text message in the messaging app, but no picture comes through, sometimes if they send it twice it will send the picture but not every time. Anybody else see this? any ideas?
Having same problem... I've tried resetting the apn (even though it's the default and hasn't been messed with) and I'm now using hangout.

Yes...
Always patchy on stock MMS...
If you have not cleared your caches in recovery since owning the device...you probably should...
Updates have occured ...and your caches may be dirty...
Also wipe the application cache in the app drawer frequently...g

Apparently I'm still having the same issue even with hangouts... :-\
Update: called the store and after tests it was concluded that the imei was incorrect so the store will be sending out a replacement.

and yes, i've read through like 20 threads with the same name on multiple phones and carriers and tried everything in them and it hasn't worked. I tried downloading gosms and reducing the maximum mms size to 300 kb, and tried sending a picture. didn't work. I did the *#*#4636#*#* thing and messed with the smsc number. I'm running paranoid android 3.65 on tmobile galaxy siii. I was able to send multiple mms this morning, and now all of a sudden they all stop and says message not sent, service not activated on network. has anyone found a solution other than the ones i've already tried?
replace MMS.apk from early build, its should fix.

I installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2178697 and now it works! Plus extra goodies. Thanks man I should have thought of that!
had this problem and I use Hangouts. If you go to settings you can set the APN for sms mms messages
