1. Copy SDConfig.txt to root of storage card (omit this step if you have a SDHC card)
2. If you have a sdhc card - remove it before you flash - then change theme to htc_curve on initial boot

Pay some respect to meschle's decision!
Even though as such I do appreciate those great ROMs being available again don't you think we should respect meschle's decision?
They were his works and IMHO he's got every right to decide that they shouldn't be spread any more.
I think this is just exactly what made him retreat from this forum!
Unfortunately I think he's right that we're moving somehow on the edge of legality (or does anyone have a licence for Windows Mobile 6.1 instead of 6.0?!? Like MS's update policy or not - that's how it is!), and now we're not even respecting his personal wish not to be associated with this grey area any more...
While I'd think he wouldn't really mind if those images get swapped on a personal basis I'd say at least they shouldn't be made available publicly any more.
I can't imagine that any of us would want to cause any stepping stones for his future carreer after all the great stuff he has delivered for us in the past!
But that's just what's possibly happening!
Somehow this also for me creates a slight feeling that XDAdevs slightly is becomming a wharez-forum (also seen quite some hack/crack-requests recently) - and I'd REALLY pity if that would become the rule as it easily could mean serious trouble for the Admins and so maybe even the Dev's forum being shut down...
Just my two cents.

We do respect Meschle's decision and we all appreciate his work, but don't you think that all these Roms and Programs were someone else property before they get developed? we are not stealing anyone's work, most of us have these roms on our devices and we are not doing anything but to share it with everybody.

yep, I do agree with you that the ROMs originally are someone elses property: M$.
And that's just where I'm coming from:
As said no WM6.1 ever was released for the Artemis, so most probably M$ won't consider them as absolutely legal.
Even where I also do not appreciate their Update Policy for WM...
Now there's just such ROMs about which easily can be tracked back to meschle as the originator who also made them public - another thing that M$ never liked!
So, in case M$ ever would look into such cooked ROMs they automatically would step over him.
Meschle, in case you're still reading the posts from time to time maybe you could make a statement on how you do see it?
At the end of the day indeed it was your great work!

We all respect Meschles decision, but he stated he no longer wants his name associated with the ROMS. He also stated that there are copies of his ROMS around and there is nothing he can do about it. He is no longer hosting them, nor supporting them, taking donations, or even talking about the ROMS so I think now this is OK.
Can someone tell me where i can download Artemis Vanilla 4.02.

Hello all,
Messchle also added some cabs in his last post from 4.02. For exemple one to make 4.02 look like 3.01. Does anybody have these? I've found a few in this post:

I was looking for a task manager that show small icons on top bar.
i have installed WkTASK on my touch hd original rom
but it seems that TouchFLO 3D does not let it work,
then i installed Magic Button - the program is warking ok but does not fit
graphically the WVGA screen of the touch HD.
is there any new applicatin that is doing a combination of both WkTASK and
Magic Button (Task manager on top and program launcher)?

the program launcher cannot be configure and the top task bar is not
stable - i have to slecet it few times to into preferences - it looks like TouchFLO 3D is tring to close the applicatin
I used WkTask with Stock ROM, 3 Cooked WM6.1 and 2 WM6.5 and no problems at all.
Install WkTask, run WkTask then set TF3d (manila.exe) as "hide always".

yes that's the battery meter.
try going through the preferences in Wktask, there's quite a lot of stuff you can configure
The "top bar instability" is because you probably have HTC taskmanager working at the same time.. so it's trying to work out which app to open..
Disable the HTC taskmanager button function in settings/system/taskmanager.
How can i minimize tasks with the SE X2 Taskmanager like the HTC Taskmanager?

just flashed my first manila 2.5 rom, with 28014, but the task manager is rubbish, doesnt close apps wit ha tap, and have to open the task manager to kill the app (so for battery longivity i have to use a quick link on homescreen for task manager) is their one tha tallows me to tap x to properly close the app? i did try the 23518 version, and dutty task manager and it worked, but then the 28014 rom was released and said to be more stable so am with that. but dutty task maanger doesnt work now (it works, but tapping x doesnt end app)

hi, this app seems to work sometimes, and "x" closes the program, and other times it is still eft running in task manager, (i removed the dutty task manager in case of a conflict) do i need to reinstall that to gain the "tap x to close programs" function?

when active Sense there is not option for disable, beautiful graphic!

First of all, thank you very much for your work.
Only one question, you say 34MB at startup with Sense. What is the normal free ram after you use manila in a day or after some hours of normal use (more or less).
I am very interesting in Roms that the Ram don´t decrease in excess after hours of use (my problem is iGo navigator that always need 30Mb free to run properly with Gurjon skin). On the other hand, after hours of use always manila turn to be too heavy.
Nothing else.

Checking what you mean on this. I have some programs that require a lot of RAM. On some ROMs I disable Sense when running these. Are you saying that you can't do this?

first of all, congratulate u on cooking the rom well hope to see update in the future
however, i want u to fix some problems :
1. whenever i wanna close the app, i tap the X button on the bottom right of the screen, but the app is still running and it's not closed yet
2. so, i logged to the settings to find the option named "X button settings" but there's nothing
3. the options which i was looking for in question 2 is often included in Task Manager, but your Task Manager is a little different... and therefore there's no tab for customizing the X button...
can u solve this and update soon??
nice rom..but can i do something to change the ugly volume bars but still keep the original wm incall volume?? n graphics are verry smooth!!

With Sense 2.5.2012 VGA port you can change the home background via Home Tab - Menu - Home Wallpaper - Weather wallpaper. But for the Sense 2.5.2016 VGA port it does not work anymore. You can change the Home Tab Wallpaper by using PHM Registry Editor:
1. Open PHM Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Software, and then HTC.
3. Select Manila and look for the entry HomeBackgroundPath at the bottom window and select it to open it.
4. Inside the Value data box enter the path of the wallpaper you want to use.
Ex. \Internal Storage\My Pictures\Diamond wallpapers\HTC HTD Mini.jpg
\Windows\HTC HTD Mini.jpg
5. Press Ok to save it.
6. Close PHM Registry Editor (Tools -> Exit)

Hi. Yes, that's the problem with build 6.5.x...when you tap the "X" on the bottom right in only minimizes the app. That's the reason why chefs who cook 6.5.x roms often include third-party apps like Arkswitch or eNatives Showcase. I was using Arkswitch with BsB rom. Same thing, if you want to customize the "X" button on a build 6.5.x rom you can use a third-party software called AMeBa.

Based on my experience, free ram (with Sense running) after hours of normal use would go to as low as 11 - 15MB. Yes, running Sense on our Diamond indeed turns to be too heavy for the device. Sense is a RAM eater. You just have to disable Sense and go with Titanium when using apps like iGO...

Hello. It's either the original WM volume control or HTC volume control. I believe you can not use both.
Can you say me, who can i find the backgroundwallper to make it at sense.
I meen the background that was in Titanum.
