I had MIUI Rom with Google Voice installed as my voicemail. I recently switched to Myns Rom. OK, i uninstalled Google Voice because i want to use Sprint Voice, but every time i get a voicemail it keeps going to Google. My question is how do i make Sprint be my voicemail carrier?
You need to go to your google voice account on the web and disable google voicemail for your phone number in the settings.

I'm trying to enable Google Voice to be used for voicemail on my phone.. but I'm having lots of issues.
I'm running the CM6 Nightly (update every day or two) and have no Sprint apps left on the phone. I Installed/updated the Google Voice app on my phone, activated my Voice account for voicemail online, and called the number that it told me to call.
I am getting an error "Unfortunately your network carrier is currently not supported..." when trying to configure my voicemail for Google Voice.
Not sure where to go from here.
At the moment the only way I can access my email is by calling my number the old fashioned way.. I also get like 4 text notifications for every voicemail. I'm not sure why I get so many?

You can ignore that setting. All it's really telling you is that GVoice can't automatically change your voicemail settings without calling a special number. As for the texts, go to your GVoice page on a computer, Settings, Voicemail, and un-check the Voicemail Notification texts.

I am on Evo-deck v1.2 and I cannot get google voice voicemail working properly.
I followed the steps of installing the app, and dialing *287195825907 from my cell phone. When I do this, it says "welcome to verizon wireless..." (I'm on sprint though????). I've followed the directions to setting up the google voicemail on my evo online and on my phone.
On my phone's phone app under preferences, my voicemail handler is set to "none(dial voicemail number)" and an option for google voice is not even available. Any idea on how to fix this?

I would recommend uninstalling the app, then try re-setting it up.
tried that...no matter what i do, when i go to the preferences in the phone dialer, i do not see google voice as an option.

Well you would change the setting from the call settings under settings, and set voice mail to google voice.
it doesnt have google voice listed as an option despite me having followed the online instructions for setting up google voice
got it working.. just did the google online instructions. rebooted phone and then it started wroking

Google Voice is not recording anything for past week or so. I have ported my sprint number to Google voice. I have app installed and running. I have tried two different ROMs Myn's Synergy and CM 7. I have to have GV app installed to see google voice option in voicemail setting but as soon as i activate it only my carrier is available in voicemail settings.

OK so I recently installed EF02 on my phone, rooted, and installed Anonymous i3.
I installed google voice, and it initially asked if I wanted to integrate my sprint number. (I do not, and did not have it integrated before.) I accidentally hit one of the yes options, and thusly had to call sprint and have them remove google voice so that it wouldn't be integrated.
I redownloaded google voice onto my phone, and set it up, skipping the number integration. However, my voicemails are coming to the phone's voicemail instead of google voice. How do I set it so that google voice voicemail is the default without integrating the number?

My GV required me to dial a *28########## (#'s being your Google voice number) in order to direct my voicemails to GV.
You should be able to change all of these settings via the GV website. You didn't even have to call Sprint to have your number unintegrated.
I've had Google Voice Mail for quite a while with my Sprint # tied to it. It stopped working recently, not sure if due to a CM11 nightly update, probably not. I've checked voice.google.com settings and it shows that it is tied to Sprint and verified the carrier, all good there.
But when I call the phone number, it now goes to Sprint's voice mail instead of Google's and then I get a text from I guess Sprint that says to call 408.970.0000 to get to voice mail but doesn't work. Calling direct into Sprint voice mail says I have no messages. So basically my voice mails are lost.
I've tried to reset everything up in Google Voice. It properly sends texts to Google Voice but not Voice messages. Any ideas.
