Hi!
I've encountered a problem using transparent docks in Launcher Pro. I've created a dock which I want to be a bit transparent (like 90-95%). I've changed the opacity in Photoshop to the wished level, but when saved as a .png it is still solid, both in launcher pro and on quickview on my mac. Is there a way to adjust this? It looks to solid when used without transparency on my galaxy s. Also I don't think this can be solved by adding the dock to the wallpaper, since I want it to be scrollable and this would break the dock when skipping to the other homescreens.
Here is a link to the dock:

I think that you should make transparency about 30-40% and when saving png to save it as interlaced. Not sure but I would try it like that, because I think that 95% transparent is almost like solid color.
EDIT: I also made some personal docks and had no problems with transparency (30-50%)
thanks, i set the tranparency now to 70% and it works =)

I have been wanting this for wuite some time. To specify, I want the wallpaper in Rosie to be real fullscreen 640x480, instead of only 455 in heigth. Similar behaviour can be seen in Launcher2. The reason for wanting this, is that it will be possible to have a transparent/opaque status bar like it's possible in Launcher2.
My problem now is that I'm stuck. I have been looking through all smali and xml files within Rosie. I cannot seem to find anything related to the physical size of the wallpaper. Any help is extremely welcome.
you could try wallpaper set and save from market
hope this helps

I had a look and it seems to be using
getDesiredMinimumWidth
and
getDesiredMinimumHeight
from android/app/WallpaperManager (framework.jar).
EDIT: Made some changes. Actually, nevermind. It only gets the minimum size, not the maximum.
EDIT2: If you have a look at the resulting png (in /data/data/com.htc.launcher/files) you can see that the width and height actually is 640x480.

I'm not sure it is in the framework, as Launcher2 is able to use wallpaper fullscreen. If you put a opaque statusbar in framework-res.apk, you will have wallpaper behind it in Launcher2. That's what I want to achieve in Rosie. I'm 99% it has to be found in the smali or xml's of Rosie.apk.
Edit: What I am trying to say is, that if Launcher2 can do it, then Rosie should do it to, if it is the framework that is controlling the wallpaper.
I don't think it has anything to do with the height of the background, more like the blending of the statusbar. Because the top pixels of the background are actually behind the statusbar. Could also be that it does some clipping before displaying the background.
I know it doesn't has to do with the blending. If I apply a transparent statusbar, it will just turn black when in Rosie, with no wallpaper behind. In Launcher2 the wallpaper will show.
Hey,
Is it possible to change the icons on the dock of Miui?
See here,

They look so ugly because they're glossy and out of place I wish to use the Sauve HD icons like I have for some of my apps above.
Thanks!
I was messing around with photoshop and thought of making a very simple dockbar for launcher pro. So I made one, is anyone interested in the png file for it? I will upload it if there is someone interested.
Here is an example (with background) i made in photoshop too, so it's not a screenshot.
EDIT: I have added a TouchWiz look-a-like dockbar. I also added the *.png files. You should find the icons from touchwiz yourself if you would like them. I added a transparent icon, for the SimpleDockbar. You have to set every icon to transparent and set the middle icon to open the AppDrawer.
Transparent icon can also be found here: (remove the spaces)

Please reply or say thank you if you like it, or if you use it.
Can u make galaxy s stock dock bar for launcher pro? I like its glass effect
That's really nice actually! I wouldn't mind the .png file for that! I like how it's almost Sense-esque, it looks cool.

+1, it does look a lot like Sense on the Desire.
Maybe you could do some variations, like a solid version for example?
A sense like background can be found on the net, but because I can't post links (since I don't have enough posts) I can't give you the link.
So here it is (remove the spaces)

There is also a touchwiz look a like at that site. But I will make one with the glass shine effect (on that website is one without that shine).
I love my SGSII, but I wish the lockscreen was transparent, as on the SGS I.
Can anyone make a mod so the stock SGSII lockscreen becomes transparent?
I would very much appreciate it.
( I use WidgetLocker now, but it has it's downsides )
can you not make a transparent gif in photoshop or something and set it as your background, would that work?

This is how you make your phone look like windows 8
1) Launcher pro and desktop visualizer
2) Go into the launcher pro settings and make it be 5 rows and 4 columns
3) get windows 7 icons, I just used icon 7 https://play.google.com/store/apps/...?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsIm5ldC5zdWNrZ2EuaWNvbjciXQ..
4) Use desktop visualizer to make the icons
use 1x2 or 2x4 to make horizontal icons
use 1x1 or 2x2 to make the squares
ill upload screenshots later
Thanks!
