Hi all,
can someone post this .apk? Full Wifi?
I need it to configure Leap for wireless at work. I have a galaxy tab and the android market doesn't work for me no matter what I do.
Its free so I don't think there should be any problem
I'd really appreciate it.
Shame. Not one person has this?

Hello everyone!
I'm from brazil and our Galaxy S comes with built in 1seg digital TV (it even has an antenna), and I got mine today. Seems a root isn't available yet, so if anyone need me to dump anything or anything else so we can make this work, fire away!
Thanks!
Carlos
Have you tried any of the available methods of root? But first make sure your phone can go into download mode in case anything goes wrong. I'd like to see a picture of this Galaxy S with a TV antenna. Sounds pretty cool
It's been rooted, check the forum.
Did it today using the forum's tutorial.
Has anyone installed ROM's on the i9000B?!
Cheers
Not yet, still trying to figure out how to install all the gapps I want. Gtalk workd fine, but no gmail yet.
Ok, phone sucessfully rooted! now, anyone done any of the most popular hacks? Like the lagfix one? Seems mine doesnt have enough space on /system/ for ryanza's one
froyo 2.2 ?
The big question is : Will be Brazilian GS upgraded to Froyo ? Its the only Galaxy with tv ...
Does it suffer the lag issue ? The gps is good ?
Thanks

I have applied Ryanza's Lag Fix and Market Access, but I'm still an Android novice. No problems whatsoever with Ryanza's, my Galaxy S is the Brazilian model, unlocked and unbranded.

Mine already came with Gmail and Google Talk (haven't tried it yet), or are we talking about different applications? By the way, mine is unbranded.

How do I know if my phone suffers from the lag issue? I applied Ryanza's fix but to be honest I didn't notice much difference.
I think my GPS reception is poor. But I had previous phone models which didn't have good GPS reception themselves (Nokia N97 and Sony Ericsson Vivaz) so I don't really know.
I'd love if someone can dump this firmware.
I'm looking at swype and the modem.

Tell me what to do (or point to the appropriate topics) and I'll do it. Any risks involved?
i don´t know what the problem with brazilian SGS, works perfect to me with root, lagfix, we don´t have roms just it, you can use froyo beta but you need a way to extract apk of digital tv and swype language module (pt-br) just it, and we will have a galaxy like any other
Well I had to xchange my galaxy s for another because I semi bricked it LOL so before I did, I tested the froyo beta firmwares and on all of them the touchscreen didn't work. maybe our kernel is different somehow?
Seems we will have to wait for an official I9000B firmware?
Also, my galaxy didn't come with google apps, I got samsung email and some customized gmail application and some claro ****. Where can I get the regular gmail or another as good email client? Or even better how can I completely unbrand the phone and leave it like the one bought outside carriers?
Did anyone here rooted the Brazilian Galaxy S ? Anyone using Claro ? Thanks.

a lot of peoples use rooted SGS of claro in the orkut community of SGS, try this update.zip man
Now that we have paid apps in Market I cant see why to root . Anyway, I was not accepted in the orkut community . I am working on it right now to figure out what happened .
My big concern is : will be there Froyo for us ?
hi
Maybe this is a stupid question, but would it be possible to use the digital TV app on our "non" brazillian phones?
-TB-
Digital TV it´s hardware thing...
Our cell phones have a TV antenna and a digital receptor.
I´ve instaled clockwork and backuped my phone.
These files will help someone in xtracting swype language and TV app?
Samsung released an oficial Froyo update today.
Let's see how long it will take for us to get it here in Brazil.
skype 2.0 is out, but unfotunately there is no support for video call on galaxy s2 only for Nexus S, Desire S, Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro
would be great if someone can check the app see if it is possible to be modded

I cant understand why developers does not support our device in their apps and games.. its make me angry.
there are a lot of genius here, do not worry someone will do this soon
Video calling option is NOT available on the Galaxy S II for some reason... Anyone decompiled this thing to smali yet?

Completely agree, and also rather miffed that this complete lack of interest was not reported by the industry press. This isn't a question of the device being new anymore.

Okay, so my mouth has been watering over AOKP since it came out. I love the build, but I can't use it at my house due to its lack of Wifi Calling. I've tried pulling the apk from stock Touchwiz, but to no avail. I didn't expect that to work, but its all I could think of. Would it be possible to create a patch to flash on AOSP ROMs that would allow for wifi calling? I've seen it implemented in CM7 on the HTC Espresso, (a device where the last official HTC release was froyo) so I have a little hope. So I'd like to ask kindly, would someone please help me or work with me on a solution? I have google voice, but it doesnt support MMS, so I cant troll anyone with my meme app I pretty much live in Deliverenceville so reception is a joke on any carrier Thanks in advance. I really appreciate any help.

I tried Groove IP, Google Voice, and Sidecar.. but none worked as well as teh Tmobile version.. if anyone knows of an app that could do the job.. please let us know!

why do people install Sony music player or other incompatible stuff, to find new features. If are not going to be helpful with it just leave
let someone who is interested in it help out
XDA is not about saying"oh darn that door is locked we have to go back"
we need to find ways to go forth and break those locks
Too much right, way too much. sorry long post too bored at work
Hey everyone! I have written an app that makes the process of getting hotspot easier. Shortcut Master Lite is no longer available, so I decided to take matters into my own hands.
You can see my post on the Note 9 forums at the link below:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/themes/app-openit-easy-free-to-unlock-t3849988
It should work for ALL Sprint Galaxy devices and possibly others. It requires no permissions and does not require root. Enjoy!

Sorry about that! It should be fixed now!
I did this tweak and it worked perfectly with your app. Thanks for this!
One issue I am having which I'm guessing has to do with the apn type edit, is that a couple apps that I use regularly use on my phone (Blokada and Discord) are having connection issues. Both apps kept disconnecting and reconnecting. Is there any way I can fix that without having to undo the tweak?
Edit: Another question. Does using the hotspot this way go towards regular data usage?
Do you know a way to so this on android pie?
Does not work on on G965U, AT&T seems to have found out about the APN work around, they haven't blocked access to the APN settings yet though.
