Hi, I have found a Dutch train application which gives information about train travel times etc. But after installing this app I get an error:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The system cannot find the file specified.
bij MobileLayers.MLTouch.AlphaControls.AlphaImage.CreateFormFile(String imageFileName) bij Trein.MainForm..ctor() bij
And a lot of square blocks....
You can download the app here:
mobilelayers.com/beta-software/mobilelayers-trein-applicatie-2/
Anybody know how to solve this error? Is it a Mini only error or does this happen on all HTC's?
Uhm, as much as i would love to try an resolve your error i have a question for you.
Why don't you just install the official ns-extra application which is updated and actually supported?
Besides it's free too
Hi, thnx for your reply. Yeah thats possible, but I read their privacy policy. I don't like the idea of giving away my name, phone number and gps location data... It sounds a bit paranoid maybe, but I think the government already knows to much about people and their locations .

hi my xda 2 has always seemed slow in comparison to my xda1 - i think i have put this down to lots of things running in the background perhaps thing i dont need can anyone put the spotlight on a remedy any help or comments around this would be very usefull - i am so frustrated i feel like reverting to my xda 1
It´s a bad version of the roms i guess. My old one had the same problem, really really slow. Just like a program have hang or similiar.
Try upgrading to a newer version!
defective rom...... ??? cany you direct me to a good version
hi i have now waded through numerous links and downloaded many files and have even set about installing the imate rom only to be given error code 120..... i then spent lots of time reading of a fix for this but it simply got too complicated for me....... i am concerned i might break the device if i foul-up - i also visited yorch.net for a cooked rom option however it apears to be offline ? if you could or if anyone could direct me to a .exe type install of a good stable rom i would be very gratefull. thanks for any help. :?
Perhaps the simplest way to diagnose why your device is slow, is to list down what is in your startup folder?
\My Device\Windows\Startup
xda 2 very slow ..... list of things in startup folder
\windows\startup
in this folder there are short cutss to all of the following .... active,aflashman,cflashman,checkautorun,chgDfLnk,IA-caller-id,MMreg,poutlook,stk, and tFlasMan.....
would you mind explaining to me the significance of this start up folder and what effects changing the contents of the folder would have on the operationg system ? your advice as to which items are probally not required would also be welcome ..
thanks Heath.

Hi guys,
I have downloaded hundreds of apps on the net and many of them (several tens) cannot be installed on my SGS (Froyo 2.2.1)!
I get always the same error message : "A problem occurred during the kit analysis" (translation from french)
And some apps begin to install and finally the message : "Application not installed"
The second case occurs when the application is already installed and it's an update !
Does anyone know these errors and where can I find the log associated ?
The best for me is to know why and if possible, how to resolve them ???
Thankx in advance
I always use legal Apps direct from the market and never had such problems... ;o)

Thanx four your recommendation but sometimes it's the same with "legal" apps downloaded on the market yet !!!
So, I repeat my question ...
Thanx
Hello guys, I'm a greenhand on XDA, English and Mobile-dev, so please forgive any of my stupid words if I do have said in the bellowing description.
Yesterday, I joined the Samsung Bada Developers' Day, and got an unpublished Bada phone, it's GT-S7250 (Wave M). The problem is , I found I don't know how to install apps on it .
At first, I tried the built-in app market client, but strangely, I can only found some test apps on it, I guess that 's because the app market server still can't recognize this phone type yet.
Then, I use Samsung Kies on my PC, wish I could send apps to my phone after downloading them with Kies, but unfortunately, still doesn't work, cause it always prompts that the device is not supported.
So, could anyone provides my any idea to bypass all these limitations ? Thanks.
PS: I have do some monitoring work on Kies, and seems that there no validation requests to the server, and thus I think there might be a configuration file on the local disk, containing the supported devices's info, and if we can find and hack it, perhaps we could bypass the limitation.
what display resolution does your device have?
maybe you could ask larioteo for a copy of his app, he has found a method to install one app without kies, but he's only developing in 800*480 resolution
Can you show us the FW code read by kies???
i want to see if i can get the FW you have right now
About hacking kies...i think your phone is HVGA device so you can't install apps that are in kies right now
Wait until larioteo is back from his work to see what we can do about it
maybe we take you as a tester because you know chinese and we don't have chinese localization
Best Regards

Thanks for your reply, as @mylove90 said, the screen is HVGA, 480x320.
I will dig into larioteo 's posts while waiting for his reply.
Acutally, I have found the downloaded app files on my PC, the path is
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Samsung\Kies\Download\Applications, under this folder, I have found the *.app files, together with the corresponding *.app.img file each. I guess these are the app files I need, but to my disappoint ,when I copy these files onto my phone, I can't install them, it prompts unknown file type.

Hi, mylove90, thanks for your reply.
To be honest , I don't quite understand what do you mean by "FW code", this is the first time I met this abbreviation, I guess you mean the "FirmWare code", right ? If so , Kies shows the firmware version is : S7250XXKI8/S7250XAKI8(XXX) , Hope this is what we need to find.
As to become a tester, I have to say that I'm REALLY REALLY glad to do that, it's an great honor for me that I can do something for possibly all Bada users as my feedback to the community.
And I also had a look at larioteo's post about the voluntas browser, hope I can do somthing for it.
Thank you again,
Best Regards.

Thank you for info.
Firmware seems from September... XXX seems Product Code...
About install Apps... as handset is "new" (different Resolution)...
But you could play with bada 2.0 SDK to install few examples...
Maybe be carefully, as it is an prototype and as I know no Firmware is leaked, to fix problems...
Best Regards
I found something, if i wanted to search "S7250XXKI8". There is http://www.badaforums.net/forums/bada2/bada-dev-day-2011-t4913.html discussion on badaforums about Wave M.
Oh Samsung is so evil
XXX is invalid product code for kies updates
you get XXX product code is you damaged your original one
they know that we already got kies firmwares for sure
Best Regards
Hello there i am see left
XXX is not invalid it is the "Default Code", the main product code for all devices, only test devices gets this code, it is the ultimative update everything code.
As i know it from slyfer my tool to watch their server XXX was always the first code that got an open europe firmware, than the others get an upadte like DBT, OXA OXB OXC OXD OXE OXG after that the providers pick another of that and make something liket his VIA DRE and so on.
For more infos you need only to ask.
Picture in 5 minuetes: (also with other codes that you believe me )
note: yes the server changed but not the codes
larioteo know the best, but probably you can't install any apps that already launched. I mean, you can't install the apps that downloaded with Kies. but you can install an app that under development via Bada SDK 2.0 or larioteo's method. I hope I didn't make things worse for you.
Root Cert method via BADA SDK
If you just want to install your own apps on your wave M, ask Laoriteo about the root cert method via BADA SDK.
Really appreciate all you guys very very much, thank you for you kindly replies to my first thread on XDA.
According to your opinions, seems that there isn't much I can do with this problem. Perhaps I can only wait for the publication of this phone type, maybe till that time I will be able to use the built-in Samsung app market client. Or perhaps some hackers may jailbreak Bada, so that we can directly install any apps.
Then, I will be aiming at Bada app development, because I really feel the lack of apps on Bada, especially under the condition that I can't install any apps on this phone now.
Thank you,everyone!

Maybe you see then Firmware for your handset...
Maybe Apps...

Hello everyone,
As there is no more manga apps that's working on my Nook simple touch (1.2.1 firmware), I try to use the Internet web browser to download manga files.
I tried with Opera mini, classic but I've got a popup appearing each time about a certificate problem ... I tried the solution mentionned here (TLS 1.2 activated from Opera classic 12.1) but still getting this error.
Any way to bypass those annoying screens ?
Thanks

Can you post the URL where you get the errors?
Sure, I tried with these :
can't reach the website :
Scan VF, Lecture En Ligne Scan Naruto, Scan En Ligne One Piece (scan-fr.cc)
Popup with certificate error :
Scantrad France - Scans de mangas en lecture en ligne !

I get a 404 error with the first link.
The second one presents no problem for me with Opera Mobile, although there are issues with display, but no certificate warnings. It's possible your cacerts.bks file either lacks a DST Root CA X3 certificate or has an expired one (if this is a new issue for you). I'm using the file posted here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/nst-g-how-to-managing-cacerts-bks.4197451/
I did not try downloading any files from the second site. That may pose additional problems.
Is that first site perhaps scan-vf.net?
Edit: OK, that's weird. I can access the first url on my tablet just fine. I wonder why my laptop gave a 404... Shut down for the day but I'll try again tomorrow to check the certificate.
O.K.
I examined both sites for the certificates in use. The only missing certificate in the cacerts.bks file I use is a Cloudflare Inc ECC CA-3. I exported this and added it to the cacerts.bks file. Then I tried that file with a unit running FW 1.2.1 and another running FW 1.2.2. There was no apparent difference in the behavior.
As I said in the previous post, I had no problem accessing scantrad.net with either Opera Mobile or Opera Mini. There are a lot of missing images with Opera Mobile so I suspect navigating and interacting with the site would be better with Opera Mini. Again I did not try downloading any files. That could be a deal breaker.
As for scan-fr.cc, I was not able to reach it at all. Opera Mobile throws up a more-or-less generic gripe about security and gives the fatal error 40. Sometimes websites which do this can be coaxed into loading by clearing the Opera cache. Not this one. Opera Mini gives a error box which says the server could not be contacted and the option to retry or cancel. No dice there.
There are posts about Opera 12 (although I think that's the Windows version) wherin Cloudflare is demonized and it is clear that Opera (of that vintage) is not able to deal with it.
I got exactly the same results before and after adding the Cloudflare certificate to cacerts.bks, so the server rejection of the connection is more fundamental than that. Logcat doesn't even seem to know that Opera is running, so no help there.
That's all I could find out.
I should probably post this in a thread nmishkin wrote but this thread was new so I decided to write here anyway. I also have certificate problem with B&N store. At first it stopped allowing me to download without any errors or reports about why is that happening. Recently when I tried it splashed out a screen about failing to confirm some certificate. Now that is bad practice if B&N is unable to renew its own certificate. And maybe it is not their fault alone if it is related to the things written in this article https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/202...h-workaround-for-abandonware-android-devices/ .It is another matter if they refuse to update certificate for old device but that is more than bad support IMHO. Is it possible to put new certificate inside for example latest upgrade zip file and load it on the device as such? Anyway if you read an article I mentioned you will see it will sort of "work" until 2024 but not further.
Is this about trying to purchase books from B&N? Is the device rooted? Is the firmware updated to 1.2.2?
I don't think cacerts.bks even comes into play in communicating with B&N. As far as I could determine the same file was included with both 1.2.1 and 1.2.2.
In any case, if B&N were pushing silent security updates they would likely fail on a rooted device.
Not rooted. Stock NST with updated firmware 1.2.2. Nothing added or changed at least not by me.

OK, so I think you are outside the US? I ask with a suspicion, but we really need more input from others who are also trying to interface with B&N from outside the US. As Aesop observed, one swallow does not a summer make
So it could be that. Even with my heavily modified NSTs I can still interface with B&N to the extent of at least "purchasing" free books from the Shop app. I've never bought a book from B&N, so I can't go so far as to say that would work for me also, but I think it probably would.
If there were a way to connect via a VPN in the US, that might answer the question, but other than making the change to a VPN at the router level, I don't think there is any way to get the NST to do that on it's own.
A logcat of an attempted transaction with B&N might be revealing, but without root, that's not happening.
Yes. I am in Europe. Thanks for a valid question and proposal for a solution that I am aware of but never thought of as I couldn't get where the problem is. When I do something about it I will reply here for sure.
