[PROGRAM] Odin 1.82 with pit files. - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

Hi guys & gals.
There are a few references to various Odin versions but there isn't much clarity. Many people have been using Odin3 v1.3 like I was doing before.
There's now Odin 1.7 available which choses the options to selected automatically once you select the needed files (This needs confirmation from others). For example, if I chose a pit file, it automatically selects re-partition option.
I strongly urge people who use this to study various options of Odin itself & become familiar first before trying Odin (Any version).
This is given as is where is basis. Hope this helps.
Some people who used this are saying that it has brought their semi-bricked phone to working. Needs verifying. Can some of the developers here look into this version comparison?
nitr8 has done a whole new UI for Odin 1.7 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9118198&postcount=28
PS : I have also included 512 & 803 pits. I use ONLY 512, god knows why 803 & 513 exist. 803 gives me errors on the first start.

Cheers bud, looks great, will test later

Thanks a lot for sharing it.
P.S.: Nice the korean push button on about form

This guy had his semi-bricked phone spring back to life using Odin 1.7. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=832832 I again urge you to look at ALL options in ODIN before pressing START.

What is your definition of semi-bricked? are you referring to the black screen at startup or something different?
Exciting news nonetheless

Thanks for the heads up man.

Look at the link in the post above yours.

How is this development?
I appriciate the heads up but maybe this should be in general?
Also, you can download Odin 1.7 + the .pit files you need from samfirmware.com

Please check samfirmware site, it lists ONLY version 1 & version 1.3.

About pit 803, it is used by froyo rom (til jpa if I remember well).
To flash with pit 803:
Flash your rom with repartition ticked and pit 512.
Reflash the rom with repartition UNticked and pit 803.
Your done, froyo working with pit 803 and without errors.
Also I dont know what it changes, I still use pit 512 (working well and easier)

I beg to differ, but I never select a pit file unless I need to re-partition, because, unless you select re-partition, whether you use 512 pit, 513 or 802 or just a blank file named myfile.pit, It isn't used.

Brilliant. Thanks. Downloading as i write this.
not really necessary you can flash full jpy and then simply usng tar extract any modem.bin from any f/w you want and flash that on top of f/w using odin..
i tested jp2 on my i9000t and much prefer the modem from il2 much better battery life.

its a ONE step flash for new people, of lazy people
its definitly usefull.
ps: i thought i read somewhere (in GA maybe ? ) that you had included CF-root too ? i must be tired
I just installed darkys rom over my current rom (stock telcel, america movil i9000T) with no problems whatsoever
i have now my galaxy from telcel(mexico) running full 3g (umts and hspda) on i9000xxpy modem
This makes me think the modem file itself has all frequencies which just get enabled if your hardware supports them
Sent from my GT-I9000T using XDA App
Regarding the previous comments on the modem, I wanted to say I am testing the modem I9000BVJJPA with very good results and an increase in the signal, better than I9000UGJL2 recommend giving it a try.

If this can be done to all the recent & relevant ROMs for different regions, It would be a sticky material worth referring to.
PS : A lot of people from the Indian sub-continent would be happy to have DDJP6 in this form.

This is not a custom rom
has no lag fix
Only this added modem 850mhz

It's a really quick firmware

You can exclude them easily.
- Open P1000XWJMK-REV03-ALL-CL900323.tar.md5 using PowerArchiver but without extracting any
- select both boot.bin & Sbl.bin
- delete
- close file....
- Flash with Odin

You could use it - just don't flash the bootloaders! Use Heimdall after extracting the bits you're interested in. Personally I'd avoid it and wait for a modaco-based version with working recovery .
I wait for Roto Version
thanks
hello,
Above all thank you for the rom

you can flash it as it is and after patch it no problem

DO NOT DO THAT. Playing with locked bootloaders is almost surest way to get bricked. Either flash with heimdal or wait for a version without bootloader.

Kobo was removed and now there is music store from samsung. And strange program called "nrcnext"..

EL30 is small?

Kinda of a noob here. But I do know ask about cwm and odin.
My question is... Is this update under 30mb? I thought roms are like over 100 mb. Did I download a wrong one? Thank you.

This is a point release. The file is ~20MB in size and contains changed files and scripts to uninstall CIQ. There is a full .tar for this release somewhere within Samsung and Sprint, but not leaked yet.

And probably won't be for some time if the lack of EI22 tar is any indication. This is just a maintenance update not a major upgrade.

only kies supports single files. else you must odinize the single file like Doky did.
kernel BAK
somewhat related to thread:
there are a bunch of apps out there, that do KERNEL BACKUP & RESTORE, i.e.:
tuxility // open source
SGS kernel flasher
yaffs explorer
SGS tools (maybe) // open source
kTool v1.4
ROM Manager
ODIN mobile
tuxility just uses dd to do the trick, seemingly. none of the above work on the SGY, however.
