Godmode Kernal

Who is using the Godmode kernal with a rom? If so, what is the max overclock for you???
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
Using the godmode kernel I was able to overclock my 0003 hardware EVO to the highest setting allowed. I don't use this kernel anymore so I can't be exact on the numbers.
I tried it for the past 3 days... Set CPU showed it was set to max of 1119 but the actual speed was stopping itself at 998mhz
The kernel itself was decent tho.. already seemed quicker than tiamat or savagedzen, and battery life was much better so I will likely go back.

Haha. Why does everyone say kernal?
Gimme a couple a days to come up with a new sig that is cool.
Because its letting me overclock at the max but when using tiamat I overclocked alot more... Anybody know of a better kernal?

I dunno if its your problem but anytime I've ever had a WiFi error it was a kernel issue.

You should be able to get sz 2.2.1 and all of the tiamat kernels from my sig.
I personaly use sz 2.2.1 with the interactiveX governor uv -50
Edit: Looks like their link is down so here is the one I have.

Could also try to redownload tiamat kernel..might have been a bad download
Id just like to thank everyone who helped me with the issue i fladhed that kernel and its working now i just have to figure out how to do the voltage thingy lol
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
The voltage thingy is totally simple, just flash vipermod in recovery and go to terminal emulator, type su then type vipermod, follow onscreen instructions and save changes. Easy...maybe someone will post a download for it. I dont have time to look right now.
Thanks man il take a look rhru the threads for that link

Well my evo is now moving at the supersonic speed its named for thanks to you all i appreciate you taking the time to walk a week old noo thru this **** now imm off to try and find a decent radio set cuz the one i flashed is horrible
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
No prob, by the way,if you're undervolting with vipermod, keep in mind that it doesn't usually play nice with overclocking your cpu.
Yeai had read that so i havent even tried anything like that lol

Was it your wireless tether that was messing up or your wireless connection to a physical gateway?
Connection to a physical modem
Not modem i meant router

Oh ok. Mine screws up when using wireless tether. But it's flawless when connecting to a router. Sorry man.

Yes, I believe it is only a Samsung thing as of now. Hopefully a developer will look into it and try to add it to future kernels. It would be great on the Evo.

Mikg's ROM

What would be a good kernel for the Mikg's ROM since I'm not having a good battery experience

I believe some have reported success using ca1ne's Underworld Sense Kernel v0.8 on Mikg's.
Hmmmmm alright, thank you :]

If you encounter lag at times while using the Underworld kernel, then consider using the Classic kernel instead.:good:
I flashed the Chop Suey 9.2.7 kernel (so I could use HDMI out) and that worked pretty well for me. I also was able to improve the battery life on my EVO 4G with an app called Screen Filter. You can set it so that the backlight on your softkeys is turned off.

I've been using netarchy-toastmod Stable: 4.3.1 Beta on MikG froyo for a year now and it runs like melted butter mate and battery life is brilliant.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Reloaded has ViperMod baked in and there are some controls there as far as kernel adjustment (voltages, etc.). Go to your terminal emulator app, type su, then vipermod. If you change any settings make sure you use the option to create an init.d file so your changes are saved and not lost when you reboot your phone. You can adjust things like your governor by going to Menu>Settings>Advanced> Performance>CPU Settings.
