I know the Siedio is the way to go, but my dad is thinking of getting this battery and back..
Honestly I like the look of this back MUCH MORE than the Siedio, but don't know about the quality of the battery..

3500mAh extended battery, thats the best you can get at the moment, and let me tell you, this battery and a good kernel and/or battery tweak will keep you going for more then a good day!
Recommend a 3500mAh battery. you'll be amazed
I have both batteries. I also like the back on the ebay battery better, but it will not fit in the seidio car dock. I've noticed no difference between the two batteries.

Yea it does look MUCH better than the Siedio style.. I don't know why Siedio didn't make their back like this one.. But I am going to be ordering two of them from this guy (Guy is located in USA too, not CHINA)
I'll post back here with some reviews and pictures..
It looks like the fit of the cover is good, what about the materiel for the cover? I see so many that looks like CHEAP PLASTIC, how does this one feel? Like the rubbery feeling of the stock one?
THANKS

just looked on ebay found this.

I have to say that looks better than the 3500ma from seidio.
it does!!! i just ordered it just so i can take that back and do the carbon fiber DIY on it. I think it would look awesome
also is the 2600mah and the 3600mah battery the same size
I'm tempted, but does anyone know anything about the make of the battery? Thats awfully cheap.. i'd be scared of starting on fire
heh
Wow a fat battery door for less than $15 shipped.
Now, lets see some normal sized battery doors on ebay.
Its cheap enough, ill bite. I got a 2300mah battery and door from an unknown manufacture when I had a G1 and it worked great, im willing to give this a try. Ill report back once I get it
im half tempted to get this... ive got a 3500 mah batttery from seidio that i got for my hero, it would fit in my evo just fine but i dont have a back cover
i might just have to send the seller a message and ask how "thick" the battery is... if its anywhere close to seido's 3500 mah unit ill jump on it

look at the picture that shows the inside of the battery door...
it clearly shows the holes for both flashes
I don't want any battery that requires a larger back cover. Im waiting for a 2000mAh to come out that will fit as is!
I can't believe how badass the EVO is now. I've had mine for like a month exactly and I get impressed by the amount of accessories popping up for it every week. GO EVO! 15$! count me in even if its crap! I think I spent 15$ on lunch today and thats already looooong gone....ew

I used seidios online chat to ask a couple questions...
the rep told me 1. they do not accept paypal(just to ask) and 2. you can get the extended battery door alone for around $15 but you have to call them as it "is part of a package which they have to break up"
that will fit your 3500 hero battery (which i have aswell)
done and done.
Ew. Looks like a throwback to the Motorola Microtac days. Why would anyone want to turn their phones into a brick when they can have 3000mAh available to them by carrying an extra battery in their wallet? Crime deterrent ?
my hands are big so bring on the big back door and no need to charge during the day

I bought one of these off eBay a month ago, it's about the same as the OEM battery, so it's a good backup, but not a replacement.
has anyone been able to successfully put in a seidio or sprint extended battery and rig it like others have done with the seidio rugged?
yes, I posted in the other thread...
with some extreme trimming (dremel, 80 grit wheel) to the the inside of the case, and a little (very, very little) trimming to the plastic surrounding the actual battery itself, I have been able to fit the sprint 2600 battery in my ballistic HC case
I'm in the process of trimming the plastic case myself and everyone should know it is very difficult to do. The only reason I'm attempting this is because its so hard to reopen the case and change out standard batteries. They should have designed this feature into the ballistic and put a spacer for those who want a standard battery, it really wouldn't have made that much difference in size.

your going to need to actually shave some of the corner's of the batt as well... there is a strange pressure point in the case that presses on the top corners of the batt (by the camera) wont let the speaker work for some reason...
the trimming you've gotta do is pretty intense, I had the best luck using an 80 grit sanding wheel attached to a dremel
p.s. obviously you cant use the rear battery cover
if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a pm

yeah dmc... any chance we can see some pictures of the grinding you had to do? kinda like a road map.
and were u able to close shut the case? or did u have to use the silicone skin to wrap it around shut?
because i was thinking of using a 1750 mah battery but since im using ms's kernel for trickle charging i would be able to charge my extended with no need to put it on an external charger... so it would be perfect for me.... also is the sprint battery smaller than the seidio??? i only have seidio batteries.

ill try to get around to taking some pictures up tomorrow
1: the hardcase shuts all the way
2: the 1750 should fit just like the regular factory batt without any trimming at all
3: yes the sprint 2600 is slightly smaller than the Seidio 3500, im not sure if the 3500 would fit to be honest

oh man if the hard case shuts all the way with the sprint 2600 battery then for sure im going to be picking up a dremel and working on this mod over the xmas weekend! id rather have the 2600 than the 1750.
i can always sell my seidio 3500 batteries... i have 2 of them -_-
whenever u can take pics its ok... no rush. i just dont want to ruin a 40 dollar case for nothing
sorry for the delay guys... but here are a few pics I snapped real quick, you can see how much really had to be trimmed from the interior of the case and what I meant by shaving the battery (doing that to the batt was the only way to get the speaker working correctly and I have yet to see any adverse effect on battery life)

nice and the buttons are aligned perfectly? no issues with the buttons (power and volume)
im starting this tomorrow!
its weird how u mention that the speaker didnt work.... the battery doesnt have to do anything with the speaker!
and pressure points from the case wont affect the speakers directly either... hmmm
My ballistic is now converted to use the 2600 battery. I wish I would have considered shaving the battery when I originally did it because the material by the kickstand is a little too thin on mine. Also someone asked about using the 3500 battery for this and I wouldn't recommend it, at least not with the Seidio. Thanks again to dmc971989 to let us know it was possible.

I know... but trust me, its that top angle of the battery.
theres some strange pressure point right there that messes with the speaker, its not just a clean on an off deal either... the more pressure applied, the worse the speaker sounds until it doesnt work at all

So after an hour of grinding and sanding down I have finished and might I say that it does require a massive amount of grinding but I am happy with the results! Kudos to DMC!!!

Someone make a tutorial please
Does anyone know where i can find an extended battery cover similar to the one by seidio for my evo? I have an extended battery from amazon with the big cover and honestly i dont like it... seems like it isnt made for my evo. I just feel like the angle that it pops out of the back makes it look and feel awkward, and i especially hate the 4 bumps on the corners above the battery. Sometimes i have to push on the corners of the cover because i dont want dust geting in, and i feel like the added space other than the battery area is really unnecessary. So if it's possible, i would really love an extended battery back like the seidio one, preferably in a different cover(that would be fresh ), if anyone can help me find one!
Because the extended batteries all seem to have such different battery door covers, it's hard to say. I have been checking (and hoping) for seidio to make colored covers for the Evo for myself. The closest thing I found was on eBay. So try there for cases if you haven't already!
Good luck.
edited....i think I misunderstood your first post. If you are looking for the battery cover door though, ebay will probably still be your best bet.
Teresa

I have an extra seidio one i can sell you, its marked up slightly though, and one prong is missing i believe, connects fine and is not loose at all
how much you selling it for
If I was you I would take his offer if its within reason. I actually bought my seido from the factory store online and broke a prong off mine accidentally and looked everywhere for just the door alone. Now this could have very easily changed but as of before xmas? Seido themselves did not sell the door alone much less best buy or amazon etc. You can find a replacement flat standard door pretty easy, but one for the extended seido? I had tough time. I actually got them to send me one no charge, but I had just spent like 200 bucks with them so.....gl
The Sedio cover won't fit the Amazon battery.
Yes it will and make me an offer on the door its an official seidio

Gorilla gadgets has extened battery covers. I got my battery from them.
Does anyone have a Mugen 4600 battery along with one of the other extended batteries?
Wondering if it is the same size as he other extended batteries. The Anker, Hyperion, QCell all seem to be about the same thickness.
If it is the same size then you could use the same door and TPU case that comes from the other companies. If it is thicker then there isn't a case out there that will fit the Mugen.
Thanks in advance.

I have the mugen 4600mah, lasts so long! The quality of the rear extended cover is not amazing, the little stand on the rear has broken off with no force whatsoever, emailed mugen for a replacement yesterday, very good battery though!
Anyone know if any of the other extended rear covers fit the mugen battery?

How is the extra thickness treating you? Do you miss the ultra slimness? I like that a lot about the sIII, but I've been contemplating getting one of these to feed my never ending play addiction with my phone

I get my extended battery here:
http://www.batterybay.net/SearchResults.asp?Search=SMI930&Search.x=0&Search.y=0
I got the 3300mA before at $19. And now they change the price to $16.79. Feel so sad......:crying::crying::crying:
But anyway, the battery life now is really great and I am interested in getting their 4300mA one. If anyone tried that, can you post the comment here?
How is the comparsion going???
I don't need some crazy 10,000 mAh ZeroLemon or even the 5900 mAh Gorilla Gadget one. How the heck do I get a case on it?
Is there a slightly extended battery that will still allow me to use a case or maybe a smaller battery / case combo that isn't ridiculously big?
I also don't like the look of the ZeroLemon. I think the back is ugly.

I was thinking of getting one until I noticed how ugly they make the phone look.. They make it so thick... Thats insane. My zerolemon for my note 3 atleast came with a case that made it look nice... Jeez
The ZeroLemon case for the V20 looks bad in the Amazon photos but when I saw the real world pics it doesn't look that bad. I had the ZeroLemon for the V10 and liked the feel in the hands.
