Here I'm gonna give you someof the best apps and Widgets. Of course some are paid apps. 1- try weather toggle widget 2- try better keyboard 3- try widget locker this is it for now I have more but try this ones first. Ill put more later on. Let me know what you guys think. Hope you like them.

Now that there are a few ROMS out their with WinMo 6.5 which has widget engine it might be worth having a thread dedicated to enhancing this widget experience.
There is very limited information on either this forum, or any other for that matter, on how to install and use widgets in wm6.5. I for one would be very keen to be able to install more widgets than just MSN Money, MSN Weather, Search Widget.
So really the purpose of this post is two-fold:
1. How do we install/use WinMo 6.5 for new widgets?
2. A place to post ideas/links to our favourite widgets to spread the experience.

That thread is for 6.5 Themes, dagray is looking for thread which I am also surprised doesnt exist.

Shame as I think this functionality would give us so many useful little apps.

is there any way to increase the number of screens in android from the default 7 to say 9 or 11 ?
What are u doing with that much of screens anyway? I dont even know what to do with 5 screens.

Try Launcher Pro, I think it allows you up to 10 home screens. It's a good launcher, highly customizable but you'll loose the Sense Widgets.

I can understand why this thread was posted, even though it's unecessary. The SEARCH function doesn't work, so it's forgiveable.. I guess.
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
Launcher Pro lets you add homescreens, as posted above.
In the future you should try searching before posting a new thread.
AND DON'T ASK QUESTIONS IN DEVELOPEMENT!
OK, I've deleted a few posts that could be considered as flaming. I decided to remove them before things got out of hand.
Whilst I can see both sides of the argument here, I'd suggest that if anyone sees a post that is in the wrong forum, or is in dispute for any reason, please use the report a post button.
Flaming is counter-productive and only leads to bad feeling.

ADW Launcher will let you configure extra screens.
As a matter of facr Launcher Pro allows a max of 7 screens even in the Plus version.

On these ports does anyone know why some widgets work and some don't
I really want to use the HTC mail and calendar widgets, but they always seem to fail to load.
I would post to the dev thread but I am new so not allowed
they work for me but need ALOT of trial and error..... i find if I apply it to a screen that is isolated from used screens it works..... and if I apply it shortly after flashing
yeah not being able to post onto dev treads sometimes, is just not right. Oh well. At a point we'll have the right number of posts.

I've been using TrueAncestor 1.4 ROM on my Play for about a week now and I love it. I just have some general questions for it. First, there's this AWESOME SE Xperia weather widget that is FANTASTIC, but I can't add it to my GO Launcher EX home screen. The option just isn't there. Anyone now how I can port it over to the GO Launcher?
Also, I love the PlayStation features of this phone, but when I click on the PS Store app, it always results in a "There are no content items" message. I've already signed in and all that. Any idea on how I can get the content to show? Is there any content in the first place?

The amount of posts you have dont matter. The same dev has a post in apps and themes called Xperia s Extreme or something like that maybe thats where I saw it. If im not mistaken, the problem with ps Store had to do with the region your psn account is .

My first post here and obviously blatant self promotion so I expect to be flamed but I wanted to gauge interest.
Given the lack of Facebook Home support for the Nexus and the fact I didn't like the way it took over my whole phone I've been writing this live wallpaper that does coverflow type stuff with different social networks.
At some point I'd like to make lots of money from it (obviously) but I've set up a free version on the market for Tumblr and could do one for Instagram if there was enough interest and keep the one that does everything paid for.
I can't attach anything so all I can do is ask for people to search for "SocialWallpaper Tumblr" on the market and hope you can find it!
I'm really interested in hearing what people think so here are some screenshots, a link and the offer to flame on!

I realised I can at least attach some images!
This looks very promising! Would love something like this for instagram though, don't use Tumblr at all to be honest. Hope you can make a few bucks from the paid version. Good luck! (I think you are allowed to link to the app itself on the Play Store)

Added an Instagram version but not managed to test it from Play yet. If you get it/it works let me know else I'll have to try again tomorrow (pics attached)

Gah, that's me trying to rush out the instagram version
Settings work if you launch from the app screen but not the live wallpaper picker. I've submitted 1.0.4 with a fix so that should hit at some point.

**UPDATE**
I've managed to test the new release and you should be able to get to the settings from either the app or the live wallpaper settings button for the Instagram version.
I'd obviously like to try and publicise this for other devices but don't want to spam every forum, could a more experienced member please point me in the right direction of where I should post?

Glad you like it - if you want to shift the profile pics down a bit go into settings and tweak the "Top Padding" a bit. I'm on stock launcher and have it on about 80 to keep it off the search bar, you should be fine with around 30
