[Q] Google Maps 4.6 Live Wallpaper - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
after the 4.6.0 update Google Maps Wallpaper stopped working properly for me in my Desire (stock 2.2 firmware 2.10.405.2). The wallpaper does not use location services not GPS or network (wifi or GSM). It doesn't show the blue dot for my current position or the estimated accuracy circle.
I have unistalled without help. Old version did work fine.
I now use Advanced Map wallpaper, but doesn't like it because I can't zoom it.
Have anyone had this problem? Or any suggestions please?
Thanks,
Heikki

same problem here with 4.6, i went back to maps 4.5.1
on 4.6, usually the current location will be some where in view on the live wallpaper, but never centerd on the screen. the blue dot is gone and sometimes it takes forever to update.

anybody experience sms/email count behind widget?

its been happening for a while now. it happened when i was rooted with stock leaked latest ota, so i unrooted and downloaded the latest ota and everything is back to stock...
the issue,
from time to time the sms and email count will hide behind the widget and i cannot see but a small green portion of it. also, my weather is crossed with another weather. example...right now it says its sunny 60 degrees, well you can see in teh background of that sun last nights full moon and temp. so detele the current weather/clock widget and voila, there is the culprit. theres a gray box (the size of the clock/weather widget), with nothing on it but the picture of the conditions and the temp...
also while this happens, unlocking my phone is very choppy and the screen is very unresponsive...

[Q] Photosphere not working

Hi! I have a Galaxy Nexus GSM, with official 4.2.1 (updated from 4.2 official) and the photosphere is not working both on 4.2 and 4.2.1... What can I do to enable it? Its the official update, havent even rooted yet... When I open photosphere it says only "Align to start" but I dont have any blue dot like I saw on youtube videos for N4, if I move the phone like the arrow shows I do a whole 360° degree and come to the same spot and no blue dot. Also the "matrix" behind the camera that should show phone's position in 3D space is always positioned as I was taking a picture of the floor and it isn't moving. Any suggestions? I upgraded to 4.2 mainly because of the photosphere feature...

I have a similar problem...am not able to make photosphere work on galaxy nexus 4.2 and 4.2.1 updated via OTA. I can see the first blue dot, but on aligning the dot in circle nothing happens....the behavior should be seeing more blue dots and moving forward to complete the sphere. hoping to find whats wrong since no one else seems to be having this issue with official update.

[Q] Very bizarre "stuck" pixel on my Developer Editon M8

There seems to be a very unusual stuck pixel on my brand new One M8. It's a bright, light blue color. I can easily make it out on the dark notification bar when I drag it down, but only over apps. On the home screen, the stuck pixel is entirely gone when I'm using a live wallpaper, but rears it's ugly head if I switch to a regular wallpaper.
The pixel does not show up on any of the screens in Dead Pixel Test. However, bringing down the notification center over the White, Cyan, Green, and Yellow screens will cause the bright pixel to show up.
The pixel also shows up over Youtube videos in the Youtube app, but disappears when I switch to fullscreen mode.
I'm running the stock firmware
Android version 4.4.3
HTC Sense version 6.0
Software number 2.22.1540.4
HTC SDK API level 6.25
I'm running the latest version of Nova Launcher, but switching back to the stock BlinkFeed launcher doesn't seem to help.
Is it there in fastboot mode?
I'm having trouble getting this thing to get to the boot loader. It just keeps booting the OS like normal.
I took some pictures of it with my iPad and made an album on Imgur, to show off the weirdness.

OK, it doesn't appear to show up in fast boot.
I wouldn't usually suggest it at first... but I haven't seen an issue like this before. Try to do a factory reset from settings, take a nandroid backup first to restore later. Let me know if you still see it after the restore.

[Q] DynamicNotifications: images on the center are pixelated

Hi, folks.
I bring to you a challenge.
DynamicNotifications shows to me a low quality icon when displays a notification. The images on the center are pixelated. Seems to me (I’m not sure) that is not happening with all the icons. I already notified the developer and he tell me that will work on it. However, it's been a long time since then and no update for this issue.
So, I decide to come here to ask the community for some enlightenment. What do you think that is happening and do you think that I can solve the problem myself?
I can't live without this feature anymore. But the low quality icon is upsetting me.
S4 Mini Duos using Kikat 4.4.2 ZTO Brazilian Stockrom.
Please, see the images attached below.
I have researched and discovered that the the problem exist since the 1.9 version when it was possible to personalize the icon of the center.
DynamicNotifications 1.7 and 1.8 works with perfect image, but they have problems with the breathing feature (the option that shows again notifications that was not dismissed after a time set by the user).
Check screenshot below from 1.8 version.

Street view not working

Hi everybody,
I have an issue with Street View in the Maps app.
I can see the thumbnail (some of them I can even rotate) but if I try to open Street View full screen, all I am left with is a black screen with a rotating blue circle and eventually a "Can't connect" message.
I thought at first it might be my modifed DPI (380 instead of 480) but I tried with 480 too, I uninstalled all updates, cleared cache. Nothing is changing.
Is anybody else experiencing it?
not here. Working perfectly (oxygenos 3.1.3. rooted)
Just updated to 3.1.3. and it's still happening... No idea what's going on...
It looks like I'm stuck to the low-res version and my phone can't reach the high-res one...
